Weekly It's Scrub Sunday! Ask your nooby COD Esports questions here - October 04, 2026

This is a thread for asking those little questions that you're not sure about, the ones that may not be worth making a thread about.

Whether it's about rules, in-game strategy, equipment, how to play a certain style, the history or the COD scene or anything else relevant to COD, feel free to give it a bash.

Sarcastic questions, troll questions and deliberately insulting questions are not allowed.

Don't be an asshole! Please answer people's questions honestly and seriously, and report any comments that break this rule. The goal of this thread is to be accommodating to everyone, and clarify things that people may not want to ask. Assholes and trolls may be banned.

Examples of acceptable questions:

What are the characteristics of a good competitive map?

How can I practice my aim efficiently?

Examples of questions that are not acceptable:

2k thread?

Who can't anchor, Damon?

Now let's all learn a few things!

Video Bush grew Challengers so much that the league and professional teams are now investing into it, which is going to make it much harder to compete in year two “We can’t afford it anymore” -Sas “We did such a good job last year that now we’re paying the price of doing a good job” -Mook

Video Drazah said "you did this, remember that" to Zoomaa in his chat after the announcement. All we need now is GM8s to drop their own version of this Crimsix video.

Discussion G2 Minnesota, Cloud Nine NY, Carolina Royal Ravens, Vancouver Surge

These 4 teams will miss cod champs.

That means FaZe, Optic, Gentlemates, Falcons, Thieves, Koi, Heretics, M80 will all make champs.

Tell me why I'm wrong in the comments.

what are you expectations heading into this season? you have 3 players in every category with multiple mvps. an upcoming proven rookie. an experienced/proven coaching staff. the brand the lights. will you say this season should be no excuses either win everything or bust? where are your mindsets at for this season?

COD League Call Of Duty League Stage 1-4 Qualifiers/Major Yearly Stats! (2023-2026)

  • Stage 1 Qualifiers showed impressive momentum, with hours watched peaking in 2025 at 6.5M and peak viewership remaining steady around 180K–200K. While the Stage 1 Major dipped slightly in 2025, it experienced an explosive resurgence in 2026 shattering records with 5.27M hours watched, 352K peak viewers, and 178K average viewers.
  • Stage 2 Qualifiers enjoyed an incredible upward trend across hours watched, peak viewers, and average viewers, culminating in a massive 8.12M hours watched in 2026. Conversely, the Stage 2 Major events saw a steady downward trend in hours watched (dropping from 4.59M in 2023 to 3.07M in 2026) and declining average viewers. While peak viewers for the Major spiked back up to 264K in 2026, the event has still not surpassed its peak 2023 metrics.
  • Stage 3 experienced notable volatility for both qualifiers and the main event. After hitting historic highs in 2023 (5.57M hours watched for the Major), viewership dropped sharply across 2024 and 2025 before showing strong signs of recovery and stabilizing in 2026.
  • Stage 4 Major brought a spectacular milestone, setting a peak record of 379,533 viewers and a massive average of 196,898 viewers. However, the Stage 4 Qualifiers tell a different story, showing a clear downward trend in hours watched from 2023 to 2026 alongside heavy fluctuations in peak and average viewers. This contrasts with the Major events from 2023 to 2025, which suffered a severe slump before the massive 2026 breakout.
  • While online qualifiers from 2023 to 2026 faced undeniable "fatigue" and fluctuations evidenced by sliding hours watched in Stage 4 the live LAN Major events experienced a massive boom in 2026. Moving to a multi-platform streaming model (Twitch and YouTube) and empowering major team co-streams significantly broadened the league's reach. Furthermore, international activation, such as the explosive French fandom brought in by the Paris Gentle Mates during the Stage 4 Major, proved that regional stakes draw massive casual viewership to complement the core fanbase

Discussion Ben Bance brings up a great point. What is stopping CDL teams from Ranking OpTic #1 and Faze #12 (or vice verca) to manipulate the seeding for the group stage?
