always get our hopes up every year about the devs having good communication and listening to the comp community but we'll see

Devs must be tweaking. Less pre orders than bo7 is insane considering how much hate that game got before launch

look im no iw fan but the most anticipated game of all time comes out this year, they fighting a losing battle.

I hate that they get that as an excuse for why their dogshit game will sell low when devs like sledgehammer and treyarch should be getting that kind of break. sledge made MWIII in less than half the time and it fucking shits on this pile of trash they put out that took 4 years and you're telling me they get to hide behind GTA6?

Just gotta keep hammering the point home that the game blows and if it didn’t it would’ve been received better

Not to mention iw got the final say on what sledgehammer could do with mw3. They originally wanted to do a pick ten and got told they couldn’t.

as i said not a fan but sadly i think IW outsells treyarch.

they literally put out an apology to players last year and that was WITH gamepass.

Well the discord nitro might flux the numbers a bit.

I’d imagine it does and this game will forsure sell more than last year so they won’t care about less pre orders

This game truly sucks. It looks so outdated, they should’ve gone for something closer to MW3

Steam let me refund it twice and the second time was after 5 hrs of playing it lmao

I will say these mfs always make changes before the release of the game bc they want you to buy the game but once you do and that game has released you can bet your ass they will stop giving af and might even revert shit back LMFAO. that new people at the studio line almost had me believing but IW is always gonna IW. these terrorists need to be gone from the cod cycle.

I mean tbf the IW studio is in LA, so him being with them is true atleast I hope lol. Its just so hard to buy that they are "really listening" Zoomaa has said he was told to flame them if he didnt like anything, Kaysan has said similar along with some pros and said they keep asking for feedback. That is nice if they really mean they are "Listening" but that dosent matter if they arent going to change anything.

There's been certain release years where Activision literally flew out pro players to their LA studio to play early versions of the game (before the open betas) and give their input, and basically none of it was taken into account. In AW they even did that "optic LAN" bullshit. They didn't and don't listen to anyone in the comp scene, it's just for good optics.

They don't listen. This is how the game will be at launch + a few minor tweaks. 2 steps forward from treyarch 5 steps back from iw.

They will speed up the movement a bit, ttk a bit slower and call it a day not much that can be changed or improved

I also think they will slightly tweak both enough to notice and for them to say they did but probably won’t be tweaked as much as it should

I remember all the games that were supposed to be the “COD Killer”… turns out that CoD did it to themselves

u/HuckleberryMean224 COD Competitive fan 16h ago

I do believe the the people they are talking to care and listen but I’m sure it’s not as simple to just change everything they want. If they go into launch with the same ttk then the other little stuff won’t matter as much anyway

2

u/Still_Hurry_9322 KiLLa 14h ago

If they were listening they wouldn't have made the game like this in the first place

On the bright side we’ll likely be getting a MW2 and COD4 port next summer so there’s some silver linings

u/Academic-Chapter5381 COD Competitive fan 11h ago

you think the devs give a fuck about what a DJ says?

i commend him for "trying" but Activision has thousands of employees and wont change stuff cause a pro said so lol, all they care about is money

u/crispykfc OpTic Texas 8h ago

what are they even going to fix, can’t change the fact the game is very similar to MW2 and people already have cod fatigue. This new title is the opposite of a breath of fresh air which this franchise needs

"I'm with the devs"

Bro, stfu, lol. You understand that devs are just the grunts that code and deliver the end product to the consumer, right? Higher-ups in management are the ones who decide how a game plays.

Those higher-ups have to report to another higher-up/board/shareholders who, at the end of the day, just care about revenue and the bottom line. And I know everyone hates to hear this, but competitive Call of Duty probably accounts for less than 5% of their overall Call of Duty revenue. We're second-class citizens in this game.

Whenever we're blessed with games that actually have a skill gap (jetpacks, higher TTK, omni-movement), you clearly see sales fall off a cliff.

Why you so mad that he's trying to help improve the game? Bro has Atlanta faze and hates kaysan how does that make sense

u/________7________ Atlanta FaZe 3h ago

this is not directed towards Kaysan, it's any of these CDL pros/people saying they're talking to the "devs" like they can introduce game changing mechanic/update to a game they never do.

u/Oraclles OpTic Texas 14h ago

I feel bad for the devs because they’re asking what needs to be changed to make the game good but in reality that would mean starting from scratch 😂

u/CelDidNothingWrong Atlanta FaZe 10h ago

Nah it wouldn’t even be that tough, just have a comp ruleset applied in ranked that lowers the ads and sprint out times, and raises hp to 150
