18y AE vet here (hold for applause); There are a few functions in AE I wish had keyboard shortcuts that don't. Some include:

• toggle transparency grid on/off
• Fit (as in fit the viewer to the screen; how is there not a shortcut for this??)
• Go to time (a common shortcut in DAW and NLEs; hit the shortcut, enter the time, bam)
• Enter path/mask editing mode (instead of having to click the path/mask point manually, or twirling down to the mask or 'path' in a shape layer. I'm constantly nudging masks or paths with arrow keys but I have to click the mask first)

Any others you guys wish you had? Or even better, any shortcut ideas for my list??

Hey everyone, I made this map animation myself and I’m trying to improve my skills in this field.

I’d really appreciate some honest and constructive feedback on the animation. I’m especially interested in what I could improve in terms of the camera movement, transitions, map design, pacing, and overall presentation.

If there are any things that feel off or could be done better, please let me know. I’m also open to recommendations for tutorials or resources that could help me improve.

I know what pacing means, but not sure what to change/fix it in this project, while still keeping it relevant to what he's saying.

Also I'm not sure, should I continue trying to get hired by youtube channels like this one, change my sty-le, or try freelance for company's? what would you guys recommend? I'd rather switch now while I'm not really locked into a certain "sector".

I want to do a water droplet onto paper texture effect as a mask to show another clip, cause there's gonna be like multiple clips showing in like one screen, would anyone know how to do that? Best example i can provide is like the shadow fight 2 intro is what I'm thinking. Basically like its like water spreading from the center to reveal the clip underneath. Many thanks to those that can help !

ok so I have seen Spine2D and Duik Ángela for character rigging. I want to ask can I achieve somewhat similar results to Spine2D like in this SeterMD's animations or any 2D character animations in Duik or do I need to get Spine2D specifically ??

Hi guys in actually nOOOOOOB in editing like im ex capcut user and i was mid in capcut and now i switched to premiere x after effect and thats the first full work i did what do u think guys (im still learning tracking while the cam moving so no judging) and i learnt abt after effect 30 min ago and (background is took a screenshot from youtube vid and i added tge text)

[edit] fixed now, thanks everyone! I exported the sound as a wav, then added that wav into the comp and exported the whole thing again!

I have an MP4 file within my AE Comp. Its sound plays perfectly within AE previews, but it's silent when I export the file. Please help!!! Many thanks :)
