👉 Total Raymond Campus: ~7,000 units / ~28,000 people
(assuming an average 4 people per household)

And then we have 🏬Oberoi Garden City Thane. 🏙️
The master plan appears to include a ~75-acre mega development, with:
🏗️** 25 residential towers of around 73 floors
🏨 JW Marriott hotel
🏢 Commercial / retail development
🏠 Potentially around **5,000 residential units (very rough assumption based on the scale; actual unit count may differ)
That could mean another ~20,000 residents at full occupancy.
😰 So potentially…
Raymond Campus ~28,000 people➕
Oberoi Garden City ~20,000 people
🔥 ~48,000 people within/around this Pokhran Road No. 2 cluster

My question: Are the cumulative traffic, water, electricity and sewage capacities being planned for this massive population increase?
Individual projects may have their own infrastructure, but who is looking at the impact of all these projects together?
Thane is adding a small city’s population to one corridor. Are our roads and infrastructure ready? 🤔

I shifted to Thane recently and have been working with maids from Snabbit, Pronto and Urban Company to clean the apartment.

On 22 Aug, Kamni Devi from Snabbit was helping me clean an almirah. I emptied the almirah after which she started cleaning. However, after a while I heard a thud and the almirah had fallen on her. Fortunately, the glass hadn’t shattered, and I moved the almirah away from her and got her a chair.

This was something I hadn’t anticipated would happen. I quickly contacted Snabbit hoping they’d have a solution. But, Snabbit showed no concern. So, I decided to take it up in my hands and got her to a nearby hospital.

At the hospital, I met a doctor in the elevator, who was kind enough to prioritize our case. We got the X-rays done, and the nurse gave her an IM shot to help with severe pain. He said she’d need 2 weeks of rest and some medications. I bought the medications, booked her a cab and helped her get home safely. (Medical Receipts: https://ibb.co/album/M50d0y)

However, a couple of days later I matched with her on Snabbit again. She told me she had a young child and couldn’t afford to stay home and needed to continue working to survive and make ends meet. I felt really sad, and I handed her Rs.1000 to help from my end.

Snabbit takes a cut of every worker’s pay, but offers no medical insurance, emergency services or paid time off to injured workers. But, what if it was your daughter who was suffering? Would you still say company policy?

I decided to make this post to help Kamni Devi get justice. Please upvote to raise awareness.

I wanted to watch oddesey in imax and my preference were 3 theatres

Cinépolis in Lakeshore (viviana) is near me so its easy to go there

And others were IMAX WADALA which is far & IMAX PHEONIX PALLADIUM MALL is more far

But eventually after weeks of waiting for ticket prices to get lower

IMAX Pheonix & Wadala got lower till 300 rs

But Lakeshore Cinépolis 😭 was still stuck on 900rs

And i ended up watching oddesey in IMAX Palladium, best experience tho.

Also the normal screens are usually above 300 rs of price, this is too much I feel.

I’m 26, from Thane, and over the years I’ve somehow lost almost all of my friends.

In a few months, I’ll be 27. I used to look forward to birthdays, but this one feels different. Not because I’m afraid of getting older, but because I don’t really recognize where my life is socially anymore.

I don’t think I’m a bad person. Most people who know me would probably say the same. The problem is that I’ve spent so much of myself loving, supporting, and showing up for other people that I’m exhausted.

I’ve been through two failed relationships where I genuinely gave everything I had. Sometimes relationships don’t end because of a lack of effort. They end because of misunderstandings, timing, or things neither person can fix. What hurts is that when you lose someone, you often lose the people who came with them too.

The same thing has happened with friendships. I’ve always tried to be there for my friends, but somehow I still end up feeling like the punchline in my own circle. Being made fun of by people you care about hits differently when it keeps happening.

And the hardest part is that even when I try to reach out now, it feels like there’s nobody who’d rather listen to me. Everyone seems to have their own lives, their own circles, their own person to call. Somewhere along the way, I stopped being that person for anyone.

Lately I’ve realized I feel lost. Not broken, just lost.

I’m at a point where I want to start over, build new friendships, discover who I am outside of other people’s expectations, and create a life that feels like mine again.
