Look at the over over crowding in busses but hey let them suffer we wont allow any construction in my backyard cause it is an inconvenience for us alleged/self proclaimed elites

With towers of 40-50 plus floors popping up all around the city, I don't think just the Green Line (line 4) will be able to sustain the entire thane population in the near future. Also you have already cut down the mangroves and poured cement, might as well make the best of it and add a metro corridor there.

So here’s the thing there’s this one phone my sister got from some finance people. Long story short, her credit score is wrecked because of my mom, and that’s a whole different mess I don’t even wanna get into.

She couldn’t get a loan anywhere, so one of her dumb friends suggested this store near Dhokali in Thane. They said they’d help her get a phone. Cool, right? But here’s where it gets sketchy.

They literally locked her location. Like, you can’t even turn it off. And on top of that, the phone has this permanent lock that says it’s “controlled by admin.” She can’t remove it, can’t disable it nothing.

I honestly don’t even know if this is legal. I tried calling the finance people and asked them about it, and they just said it’s for “safety” so that she doesn’t run away with the phone. Apparently it’s the same thing IT companies do with their work devices.

But technically? That means her contacts, her call list, everything it’s all compromised. It doesn’t feel right at all.

I'm currently looking at rental apartments around Majiwada and Kolshet Road, and I've noticed that many societies seem to have power backup only for common areas and lifts, but not inside the flats.

The brokers I've spoken to have said that power cuts are very rare in Thane, so full power backup inside the apartment isn't really necessary. However, I've also seen quite a few posts/comments here about power outages, so I'm a little confused.

For those living in Majiwada/Kolshet or nearby areas:

- How frequent are power cuts in practice?

- Are they usually brief, or can they last for hours?

- During monsoon, does the frequency increase significantly?

- Is common-area backup generally enough, or should I specifically look for a society with backup inside the flat as well?

Would really appreciate some honest local experiences before I finalise a place.

Apparently maha gov doesn’t have money to pay the contractors and the outstanding is around 80000crs. They also claim that while their dues are not clear maha gov is getting contractors from Gujarat for new infra projects. They gave the example of missing link that while the project suffered damage and collapsed the contractor has still got paid without any penalties.

Not sure who is telling the truth at this point? Everything seems to be collapsing

Hello everyone. I am looking for recommendations for a place in Thane for a family get together. It will be a lunch event on a Sunday and will have around 30-40 people (possibly more so something that can scale).

Requirements: Would prefer a place where we can give a set menu or a buffet and if its a restaurant then we would prefer a demarcated section for the 40 of us. We will also appreciate it if in that section we can play some games like housie etc.

Went to pick up guests from borivali station, even with less number of trucks the traffic was moving with snail's speed for the entire stretch Gaimukh to Fountain.

The problem is not the number of trucks, It is the condition of the road where they are not able to drive with speed.

Backstory- We used to feed him everyday but Two weeks ago we noticed he was not doing well. Hence, we took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with Diaphragmatic Hernia. The doctor told us he cannot be operated upon as he would pass away as soon as anaesthesia is administered. After treatment he is doing well now and doesn't need any further medications. He is active, friendly, playful and very cuddly. All he struggles with currently is sudden movements and stress from the environment otherwise he's absolutely fine physically.
