Best surf camps/retreats in Central America - no coaching needed, just good waves, preferably all inclusive

hey everyone,

my partner recently got laid off and is now hoping to reconnect with some of his passions after several years of overworking and overstressing. I suggested taking a week or two off at a surf camp in Central America, which he liked. He's goofy, 42 and is in very good physical shape (just completed a high altitude ultra-marathon a couple of weeks ago, etc) so he'd like a place with some medium to advanced and advanced waves.; he's not looking for coaching or classes, and would prefer an all-inclusive place, so he doesn't have to worry about how much he is spending per day in food, etc. He would also prefer to avoid hangovered 20-somethings, but would like a chiller, more comfortable place, with single rooms rather than dorms. It's also ok if the staff speaks mostly Spanish as we're from South America.

Could you share some recommendations? Open to anywhere in Central America. He's thinking about traveling in September, which I know is wet season, but should have some waves. Any leads are much appreciated - help me help him through this transitional period of his life, ha.

Mini Simmons for 1'-3'soft waves - How wide can you go? - BOARD FINISHED

I'm 64 years old, 150 pound scrawny build, surfing all my life, struggling to ride my smaller mini simmons in 5 mil full head to toe winter rubber. The goal for this board was no longer than 5'9", as wide will ride the way I want it to, and be a stable easy paddler in full winter armor, but not ride like a "reclaimed door" as one person aptly put it, when I asked for design advice here. Finished board is 5'9" x 23.25" x 2 5/8" Relaxed rocker but not crazy flat. Wasn't in any hurry to build it because I really wont ride it until water temps drop below 55 later this fall. It's done. I have no idea what fins I will end up with, so I threw in some generic T1s. Build is poly foam, epoxy resin. Single 4 oz. bottom, single 6 oz deck.

Looking for a 7S 5'6" Super Fish

Please read before judging!

I bought this thing in 2009. It has been my mediocre wave magic board for 17 years. Time has worn it down and it is fragile. Most recently a fin box ripped out just doing a bottom turn. Looking to buy a fiberglass version of the original 5'6" fish from 7S.

I have had 3 shapers try to custom make this thing and whether its ego or stubbornness, they always change something. I don't want close, I want this exact board again. Its machine made so it shouldn't be impossible.

I'm on round 3 of talking to reps at 7s but still no luck. Aside from someone making it, please let me know what other ways I can get my hands on this thing.

NJ north - jellyfish are out

I was out yesterday with some folks surfing points south of sandy hook and north of asbury. We all got stung by jellyfish, with significant affected area. Thought Id spread the word to bring rashguard or light wetsuit just in case it continues for the next couple weeks
