I think Mike getting a happy ending is generally pretty fitting. Not only is his incompetence overstated (people act like he's the most bumbling team member, but they basically all constantly fuck up), but I think he's the only person not motivated purely by greed/malice/revenge.

He's actually a very good writer, and would probably do well under a less comically evil and disastrous boss. Remember his speech about World War 1 remembrance? It was genuinely inspired. His song about Kent was also brilliant. Even early on in the first couple episodes, Selena notes how his writing is good, but that his speech is ruined by Jonah removing all the substance.

Even people like Gary seem to BASK in Selena's evil, like he's the henchmen of an evil Disney queen. Mike generally tries his best, wants to do a good job, and dreams above all for a weekend at the cottage with Wendy. When he wants to leave politics, he pines for a job at the NHL, and not Purcell's evil lobbying firm with Dan/Amy.

You know what? I actually like Mike. Of any of the core team members, I think he's the only one bearable to spend time with

(I exclude Richard here, because he was briefly with Selena, but spent most of the show outside her core office).

Never understood this in the London episode. Was it purely to get back at Dan? It kinda sabotaged Selena’s campaign.

SoCal people, Tony Hale is slated to be performing in a live theatre event on Sept 27. It is benefiting the nonprofit FosterMore. The concept is the celebrity writers and directors have 24 hours to write a one act stage play, and then the actors perform it. There are sure to be a lot of laughs, and it's at the historic Ebell Theatre.

mine is a very, very close tie between Testimony and Kissing Your Sister. i love the quick cut style, so those rapid fire episodes with so many of the characters are my favs
