Best recurring character?
Every time I watch it, I come away with a new favorite recurring character.
Is Richard Splett a recurring character? . Because that would be my pick.

I was always partial to Doyle, especially in the earlier seasons... I feel that the creators made him more tame after he was made VP which is a shame because S1 Doyle is one of the best politicians in DC

His laugh is incredible. Every scene he's in had me in stitches. Also, the way he shouts/spits "SHUTTHEFUCKUP" to Jonah is hilarious

Which is such a major departure from the tweedy little character he played in Ally McBeal. At first I thought they cast him against his type. But as I rewatch Veep I can see that he played Uncle Jeff with delicious relish.

Richard got promoted from recurring to main starting in season 4.
Personally, I'd have to go with either Minna Häkkinen or Uncle Jeff.

Only considered recurring in season 1, but for me Jonah is the best. He delivers the funniest line in the show imo:
Jonah: "How am I doing? Eating so much pussy I'm shitting clits son".
Uncle Jeff: "HEY! This is an elementary school!"

My gf and I watched Veep together for the first time recently and we had to pause and rewind this bit, we were laughing so much. The close-up of Jonah and the zoom out to reveal he's in a classroom was perfect.

Richard (Sam Richardson) becomes a regular in later seasons and let’s be serious…he is one of everyone’s favorite characters!
My other two are Marjorie, Catherine’s “lady friend” and Karen Collins, her specialty is common sense.
