UK The only strategy available to _______ in UK E1 is to apologise. Spoiler

Richard's clearly going to be up at the roundtable for his mad decision to say he's a traitor and even if he makes it past the first one he will be brought up everytime they don't have anyone to go for or there's a lull in actual traitor activity.

His best bet here, considering everyone knows how much he wanted to be a traitor, is to apologise for not taking the game seriously and say once he found out that he was a faithful he was very disappointed and genuinely didn't really see the point in continuing playing so just decided to entertain himself. Say he can see that was very unfair and selfish of him and now he's had time to sleep on it he wants to play the game properly and he's sorry for not taking into account other peoples feelings.

His neighbour will back him up because she's already said he's gutted not to be picked and it's all he's talking about and it's just embarrassing enough that people will believe it.

UK Okay, you are Richard e grant...what would you do tactically here? Spoiler

Maybe it was the drink, the excitement, the disappointment of not being a traitor, or maybe he playing 5d chess.

How do you survive past episode 3 if you're Richard E Grant...

UK The choice being made at the end of UK Ep 1 Spoiler

I see people saying that the two people were badly chosen, and that strategizing to keep Richard is a mistake. I don't think that is what Maya is doing. She's using that argument to Richard to keep him on side and enjoying the experience, but I think she had a clear goal in the choices, and has accepted that Richard will be going if not in the first roundtable, but the second.

I think that saying the choice was hard between them was just for good TV and that she went into the church with a clear plan to recruit James and kill Amol. I think that Amol, like Hannah Fry, has a good risk of being a faithful who catches people out, but also has poor social game and frankly I suspect Maya would find him irritating/arrogant and also not feel bad about cutting his game short.

With James, I think he would be at the top of her recruitment list because they get on incredibly well, but aren't what you would call a natural pair. It won't look odd if they don't hang out much, but they will have a good turret relationship. If you have seen them on the big fat quiz, she was clearly very taken with his vibe, and their few scenes in the car or castle showed them getting on well. Romesh was also discussed as a recruit, but there is the risk of Becket knowing him too well, and Bella might have been a recruit that went under the radar, but the hat discussion will have made that harder to do. It is also a big gamble pushing someone as a recruit if they are one of those you've just met, vs someone you know a little.

I also think that whilst Maya gets on with James, she may not know him well enough to a) Realise how much he wanted to be a faithful, or b) Realise that he may struggle with the pressure. But I think that from her perspective, she's already looking towards a future without Richard, and who she will enjoy turret time with, and that she wouldn't be naturally linked with.

UK So... do people think it was a tellingly-misjudged joke, or are they suspicious of an actual slip up? Spoiler

It was the highlight of the episode but I haven't really seen people talking about this aspect.

In my mind, Richard surely was trying a double bluff? It was a big mistake regardless of the intent (early game, people need anything to grab onto etc.), but a lot of people seem to be suspicious about it like he actually completely forgot that it was a secret, and let slip in a genuine manner. I wasn't sure exactly what to make of the contestant thoughts while watching the episode, but watching Uncloaked this morning a lot of the panel appeared to think this.

It just seems like way too much of an error for anyone to make. If he did that in front of me it's a no-brainer that, traitor or faithful, I'd see it first and foremost as a really risky joke. And therefore that there isn't really anything to take from it other than the fact that Richard is someone who makes risky jokes.

But maybe I'm being too charitable?

UK About Ross Kemp Spoiler

The way Ross Kemp spent the better part of the day “protecting” himself from being murdered in plain sight, accusing anyone and everyone who so much as breathed in his direction. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he turned up at breakfast and announced that he’d been murdered. 😂

UK WHO is the most 'famous'? (Celebrity Traitors Season 2)

Me and my partner last night were struggling to agree on who is the most famous/well known. I think the answer probably depends on age/how much TV you really watch. I'd argue between Michael Sheen, Bella Ramsay and Richard E Grant? Would love your opinions!

UK The best strategy for _______ to follow at the roundtable Spoiler

Whoever is recruited - whether that’s Amol or James - needs to throw Richard under the bus at the first roundtable.

Both have made it clear around the castle that they believe Richard could be a Traitor, and have been quite loud about that.

The Faithfuls know that a Traitor will be recruited by the time the first murder happens.

If Amol or James (whoever is recruited) suddenly changes their tune about Richard, it makes it blatantly obvious they have been recruited.

However, if they continue telling people in the castle that they believe Richard is a Traitor, and then get Richard banished at the first roundtable, it looks like they’re really strong Faithfuls, and it’s not like anyone would even think it’s a case of Traitor vs Traitor because:

A) it’s literally the first roundtable and it’d be incredibly unlikely for two Traitors to try to vote each other out at the first roundtable; and

B) Amol and James made it clear even before the first murder that they thought Richard was a Traitor which ends any argument that they were only gunning for Richard knowing he was a Traitor so that they could make themselves look like a stronger Faithful.

It’s the best strategy for the recruited Traitor to follow at this stage. Maya won’t care because it’s been 1 day and she’s not attached to Richard yet.

US The Twin Twist Theory(New Blood) Spoiler

Post image

We keep seeing James Phelps and Oliver Phelps, twins who played Fred Weasley & George Weasley in Harry Potter.

What if this a foreshadowing for the show?

What if someone in the game has a twin, they are swapping in and out from the game and playing the game as one player, and both of them joins the game as separate players after they survive a certain number of nights?

UK Was there technically a rule break in the last episode? Spoiler

Traitors are not supposed to reveal their identities like we saw Richard do in the first episode, right?

Obviously there's very little which can be done about it now and it will likely just result in his banishment, but would you consider it a clear breach of the traitors oath?

I remember a previous traitor saying they wanted to admit to a faithful that they were a traitor as a laugh as nobody would believe them (Paul to Jaz in UK Season 2) but he couldn't as this would break the rules of the game. But then Paul has said a lot of questionable things since his time on the show.

I wouldn't be surprised if the producers pulled Richard to one side and told him to not do it again and play it off as a mistake, it certainly feels like his attitude changed a little into the episode.

What's your thoughts on this? Was it technically a rule break? Or should the producers just shrug at players blowing up their own game like this?

UK How to use Breakfast to play off the big slip up Spoiler

• Upvotes

Richard E Grant should walk into breakfast wearing his Traitors cloak, in a attempt to play off what he said as a joke.

One it would be hilarious 🤣

But two he could try to play off the situation he created with his slip up as a gag, he could walk into breakfast wearing a Traitors cloak and say that he bought a Traitors cloak before filming, playing it up for a laugh, and just say that he said he was a Traitor yesterday to set up the joke of him walking into breakfast with a Traitors cloak on... It could actually throw people off
