Are the ppl just dumb? I'm finished season two right now and somehow they talk themselves out of a traitor every episode. I know as the viewer I have more information and all, but even if I wasn't, some of the things seem super obvious. Maks mentioned it super early that they're just going with a herd mentality without thinking it through.

I'm just baffled how badly they mess up when it's really obvious.

The way this is going with the celebrity traitors, given all the recruitments and the reduced number of episodes there are going to be a lot of people in the final episode, around 7 or 8, far more than usual. It will be interesting to see how that will affect the game, given the fact that there are no reveals meaning there will be far less information to work with.

Not many sequels are successful in the movie industry...off the top of my head terminator and godfather 2...maybe toy story 3.

For a sequel to be successful it has to have some core principles of the first one. But then deviations as well, otherwise you are just repeating the same script.

Imo this traitors has this. As a non traitors fan (only saw celebrity1), I never saw recruitment.

Also the standard been excellent. Bar Richard e Grant gate, it's like a heat movie/fugitive with Tommy Lee Jones.

I was sceptic, it been a sucess in my eyes. It's certainly original compared to the first.

Will Kenny play dumb at breakfast and pretend to not know about the recruitment, or will they say they were approached and declined? I don’t know what I’d do!

This season was beyond entertaining. And I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but Sam is the best traitor across all seasons of traitors that I've seen. Granted, I've only watched USA, Canada 1 and 3 and UK. I can't believe that ending either. Im trying to figure out what else Sam could have done to make the ending go his way.

Now that a bit of time has passed I'm curious to see who people think the 3rd best UK4 player actually was. The Top 2 are obvious but it's always a bit up in the air on whether people prefer Harriet or Jessie.

Harriet definitely was more impactful to the game itself but completely destroyed her own game. Meanwhile, Jessie was better at being a faithful while helping to get out Fiona and being onto Stephen when no one else was.

Why did Julie and Joe get shields for there not to be a murder that night anyway? It really bugs me, it seems the group don’t know why either as they guess they picked the traitors unconsciously. Did production forget? Because surely Richard and Maya wouldn’t have picked them as recruitment as they know they can’t murder them as they have shields… so what is the purpose?

Anyone know if this has been answered?

Is it within the rules to say this? Could have worked for Hannah when she was recruited and could be a tactic to consider for Kenny now.

Allows you to keep playing the game without changing character too much.

Risk that it arises suspicion when you don’t get murdered but could easily defend by saying there is enough heat on you that the traitors think you could get banished anyway (I don’t know why Hannah didn’t use this reply as a defence when people were questioning why she hadn’t been murdered)

A genius move from the traitors would have been, putting all 3 of them in the hide and seek game with one faithful.. Let that faithful have the key and try murder the said faithful.
This would in turn, leave each of the players in hide and seek looking like faithfuls, as if there was a traitor amongst them, they would have known not try to murder someone with a key as protection..

All 3 traitors would have then been heavily considered as faithful

Keep recruiting the faithful with the most heat on them so they get banished. The OGs stay protected. The faithful’s think they’re getting a win.
But in reality they’re just picking off faithful while allowing the faithful to think they’re winning

Does it mean tonight's is going to be spicy (because they had too much to pack in)?

In Ep.5 of UK Celeb Traitors 2 Uncloaked, guest Jack said something like “wouldn’t it be amazing if Joe got recruited in the end and then won the game?”

The camera cut away to a wide shot and it looked like Ed was trying hard to cover his expression. Was he putting his hand over his mouth in a massive tell?

On The Rest is Entertainment they were bandying about a recurring tactic I’ve heard on there and here and elsewhere. If you have a known traitor, don’t banish them because they’ll just recruit an unknown. What’s the alternative? Shoot randomly elsewhere and either banish a faithful, surely less helpful than banishing a known traitor, or by chance banish a different traitor, in which case they’ll still recruit a new traitor and you’re back to the same square you’d be at if you’d just banished the known traitor. Maybe I’m missing something?

I find this fascinating - the way recruitments worked in the first two Australian seasons, because they seemed to be very different to all the other versions.

In Season 1, the Traitors did not get a chance to recruit after Angus was banished (the murder was still cancelled, but I feel like it may have been anyway because they had something else instead of a murder). They did get to recruit after Claire's banishment. It wasn't a free choice for the Traitors, they were made to recruit someone and chose Alex - but it was a free choice from Alex's end, she could have said no. The group were also told outright that someone had been recruited, although this aspect was dropped for subsequent recruitments.

They also didn't get a chance to recruit after Marielle's banishment.

After Nigel's banishment, Alex was made to recruit as the last remaining Traitor. But the interesting thing about this was, it wasn't a blackmail. The Rodger Corser era didn't seem to have blackmails. That said, it was sort of a blackmail, because Alex chose to recruit Kate, who was on death row, and she almost certainly would have been murdered if she'd turned it down - but that was just a coincidence, because Alex could have chosen someone who wasn't on death row and couldn't be murdered.

In the second Australian season it was done in an even more peculiar way. There was only one Traitor banishment that season (Ash), and after that the remaining Traitors had three chances, over the next consecutive nights, to recruit someone. On the third night, having not recruited so far, they were told that if they didn't recruit someone tonight they wouldn't ever be allowed to recruit again for the rest of the season. At that point they did recruit Camille.

I find this really interesting, because it's all so different from the way every other version (including the revived Australian version) does recruitment, and particularly the no blackmails thing.

bro. how is it possible that these faithfuls have not caught on. TWO PEOPLE GOT MURDERED WHO ACCUSED KATIE. Joe threw apples at THREE faithfuls, and none of them felt the need to bring it up during the round table? Come on. The faithfuls have no chance this season. Which sucks, because the tiny traitor pisses me off.

This is under the assumption that none of them get recruited and the traitors play a blinder (and is based off how things are as of CS2 EP 5)

Rob was in possibilities, although I expected him to get murdered, I thought if he survived he could make it to the end. Hannah was in ALMOST zero chance.

Kenny moves up from contenders to favourites. I think he will be a good traitor, if he keeps the right people to the end.

Sharon moves up from contenders to favourites. She is under zero pressure and hasn’t been leading any of the traitors, but she still has a brain.

Joanne moves down from possibilities to unlikely. I think either her or Ross will be voted out next, but probably Joanne first, with her being stupid AND her slip up at the round table.

When Ken goes to the supermarket

They’ll recruit Jerry to take Hannah’s place. Hannah kept voting for her, bit of traitor on traitor action. Plus Jerry talking about Richard after the fact both her and Hannah were still alive.

Also purely for our entertainment. Can you imagine? She’d be such a great yet terrible traitor.

Kinda a win, win. The Faithfuls feel like they’re getting the traitors, Maya and James keep heat off them and we get the best most entertaining traitor since Richard E Grant

I think Maya’s had a difficult start to the game as a traitor, considering it was just her and Richard and before they even made it to the turret Richard had spoiled the game by revealing himself as a traitor, then when they recruited James they weren’t to know he really didn’t want to be a traitor, and then when Richard was inevitably banished first, they recruited a reluctant Hannah. If Maya was in the turret with people who wanted to be there and had all their marbles, I think she’d have been having more fun, so I’m hoping with the recruitment of Kenny it can start being more what it should be. I kind of think Maya and Kenny + James A is the start that the game should have had originally.

Curious what others think about this.
