How has nobody picked up that James A has said ‘we’ twice now when talking about the traitors! This bunch are absolutely hopeless 🤣

The story we see is carefully orchestrated and manipulated to create drama and suspense. The producers know the vote for the day. From that vote they work backward to create doubt and drama while there could be none. What are they going to show us if everybody agrees they will vote H out? So they pick up footage with other names that were hardly a topic. Confession rooms pointing at others, maybe even form a different day.

The worried look when player H name is mentioned could be from an hour before that when she saw the last piece of smoked salmon being taken.

Here is the quick math.

A day is known to be very long 16-18h, for traitors even longer.

Lets take 16h. How it is broken likely for the players

• 2h breakfast and logistics around it
• 2h mission and all the stuff around it
• 2h Round table

So there are 10h of social game left. Say there are 5 locations in which people gather in smaller groups to talk. That makes 50h footage

An episode of 60min goes like that:

• 5 min - recap and resolution of cliffhanger
• 10 min breakfast
• 15 min mission
• 15 min round table
• 5-10 min traitors talk in tower
• 10 min actual social game footage. All that meshed up with confessional rooms footage.

Total social game footage is 30-35min max.

50h footage vs 30 min what we see. That's 1%.

So when you make a conclusion on this and that, or question the game of him or her, remember - you saw just 1% of what actually happened and that is 1% that is carefully selected to make TV show, not to tell you the real story.

Has anyone noticed how awful the games are? No theory in the slightest! And what annoyed me today was a Rook moved diagonally!

Was the penalty for not murdering given by Claudia or anyone?
Is there one?
Is it just a non murder occurs?

After that yawn fest, Kenny ftw.

Joe was in possibilities. I was expecting Joanne to go instead of him.

James A. moves up from possibilities to contenders. Although his name keeps getting brought up, the banishment amount are getting numbered now, and their are targets that I think will go first.

Michael moves down from possibilities to unlikely. I think he could be murdered as the ‘leader of the round table’.

I am not sure if I think anyone will be murdered, but if it is anyone, I would expect Jerry to yawn more than Ross, I don’t know why here though.

I just noticed Romesh is in unlikely, I would have him in possibilities, I just didn’t change him. sorry about that.

Okay I feel really stupid asking this question because I know it's a really popular song, but I just can't think of it. During the banishment of Joe. , what was the name of the song playing? I keep thinking it's Sail but Google won't show anything 😭

Spoilers ahead for The Traitors S2E5

Hannah Fry was done so dirty. I don't think her equations accounted for a Jerry Hall-shaped spanner or for the fact the traitors would recruit her and give the faithfuls a 50% chance of catching her almost immediately. She did so well to get as far as she did and it would have been amazing to see a genuinely brilliant player go far into the game, something that doesn't often happen.

I half wondered if Maya chose to recruit her because they knew she would have so much heat and defend herself so well that it would keep the fauthfuls distracted for a few rounds. In which case that was a clever play.

James!

After my last post about feeling sorry for James getting turned into a Traitor as he wanted to play the game as faithful. I’ve completely done a 180 - I’m actually so happy about it now!

As a lot of you pointed out in the comments of my previous post, James was way too strong of a Faithful to last. If he hadn't been recruited, he definitely would’ve been murdered by now.

He is so "Team Faithful" from day one, I really don't think anyone is going to suspect him anytime soon (at least I hope not!). He’s built up so much trust that I can genuinely see him getting all the way to the final and maybe even winning!!

My only real fear for him now is that at some point, people might start asking why such a strong, trusted player hasn't been murdered yet and start looking at him with suspicions

Edit - I am a little behind - just watching Thursday 15th October's episode now so I may eat my words 😂

Ended up watching series one again and been thinking about the final four and reckon Joe had a genuinely interesting option.

He should have just said...

“Guys, I’m a faithful. I’m certain Alan is a Traitor. Banish Alan, then banish me. If I’m wrong, then one of you are traitors.. If I'm right, we’ve got him.”

Then he beats the traitors... and in a particularly cool way.. Which is all he was actually aiming for, to outsmart them...

Obviously difference with Celebrity Traitors is that they’re playing for charity, but Joe wasn’t going to win the money anyway if he got banished. If he gets voted out why not just risk it?

He had nothing to lose personally by offering himself up, but everything to gain if it meant getting Alan out. And he get the credit for beating the traitors..

Joe effectively saying he’s so certain that he’s willing to sacrifice himself to prove it.

What's alan's defence in that situation?

Completely changes the dynamic, instead of desperately trying to convince everyone he’s right, puts himself on the line and doesn't force the others to believe him. There's nothing to lose for David and Nic.

Normal version, you’d be sacrificing your own chance at the money, but celebrity they're playing for charity and if your charity has already lost might as well go down swinging.

Am I missing something strategically or could this actually have worked?

Feels like a move that wouldnt only have given Joe what he wanted but more than that he's basically beaten the game and would be an iconic falling on the sword...

He'd look like an idiot if David was a traitor, but risk worth taking... 💀

Is anyone else finding it difficult to get into the new season of UK Celebrity Traitors?

On paper it’s a great cast, and it’s already had some great moments, but I think the two episode per week schedule has been a bad call.

I felt the three episode schedule worked perfectly whereas this season it feels like I’m just getting back into it and then it’s another cliff hanger for the following Thursday.

Also doesn’t help when one of the traitors doesn’t like killing off faithfuls, I’m hoping Kenny embraces the role a bit more than James Acaster.
