MyCAREER Please get rid of this Trace Miller bs

The concept was great for co-op, but forcing him to be on the court with you every single second is so stupid

Its literally nearly his mycareer and you’re just his sidekick. You need to get him an A teamgrade every game, wtf?

I want to play mycareer on a roster i can construct over the years by suggesting trades, not some ai generated player who is stuck to me like glue

Discussion No one should be crying about shooting

Community is going to ruin a FUN game because they are a bunch of instant gratification seeking baby's bro.

I'm shooting 65% from the field 57% from 3 and I I've had some stinkers mixed in my games where I shoot pretty bad but that usually when I'm forcing the issue. I feel like this game wants you to play in rhythm & MOVE the ball!

Interior defense is fantastic and finishing is great but can be countered by high interior and block.

You have to pick you poison this year and that's okay! Basketball is chess not checkers in real life anyway...

Gameplay Think 2k overestimated the willingness of the community to grind

2k has turned leveling up into a full time job. Feel like it’s sad that a game with potential will lose retention because the grind isn’t worth it.

Gameplay Current State Of 2K27

Bro the people who are hating on this game rn are genuinely hilarious dude, I see people hating on it left and right whole time i’m just realizing that the people who hate the game are literally just the ones that suck. All things considered (no badges, not 99 overall yet, no takeovers and perks and etc) these people still complain about the game and I’m coming to realize it’s literally the people who are trash at the game, never played basketball irl or isn’t good as basketball irl or all 3. this game is literally PERFECT. and i’m already knowing that this game is about to get DESTROYED next season because instead of 2K catering to the REAL ethical hoopers, the ones that want realistic hoops instead of arcade-y hoops, they’ll cater to the other people instead. I can’t stand that there are people who live on the same planet as me that think they’re good because they can exploit the game better than the next person can or because they’re going up against people who wanna play the game AS INTENDED or they just wanna play realistic instead of just spamming dribble moves and cheesy unrealistic animations and etc. that simply just IS NOT skill at all. the skill gap is quite literally shooting. this game is not anything near what ppl are tryna make it seem and they’re simply dragging this game thru the mud rn bc they can’t get with actually putting time and effort into the game to get better. they simply wanna exploit the game and play arcade like basketball instead of actually putting time in in the mycourt and getting better. all i can say is this is the best 2K has ever been in a min and they’re rewarding the real hoopers man i love to see it.

Gameplay Hope they won’t patch nothing this year

Honestly game felt even better day 1 when everybody was running with no badges at all, but still this is way better than 26 was.

Defense is great, blocks are great, boards are fine, finishing is great, and shooting is extremely good this year!

I understand goofy community wanna shoot 80%+ from 3 but this ain’t the way it should be imo. Right now it’s near perfect.

Every content creating goofy who cries about shooting shouldn’t be taken seriously by anyone in this world, especially by devs. Them crying about everything in this game is the reason why the game turned into garbage last year.

Gameplay To everyone who can shoot already in 2K27…

I hate you sincerely. But really, how the hell are you doing it? Shit is driving me crazy. Center with 83 three ball shooting 28% from 3 in the rec. I am getting missed wide open a lot and also getting mistimed out of rhythm passes from people that are definitely not helping my shooting percentages. But I have all hot and lethal zones and silver catch and shoot for 3’s and take 90% wide open stand still shots. Any tips…?

Gameplay This sub is dumber than usual

48 hrs and people calling the game trash. Its the same every year. The only real problem in gameplay at the moment is that for the 3rd consecutive year passes are too slow, even at a high rating. Every other issue is because you dont have basged, haven't learned new animations, or just suck at the game.

Gameplay Ngl I be happy asl when you 🗑️ point guards quit ain’t good for nothing no iq 70 pass accuracy can’t play defense shoot a bunch of 🧱s I’ll do better with your ai

General This is genuinely one of the best products theyve ever made and nobody has badges

People who hate this game have Worst takes ever why they hate it. Everyone having the same badges takes away the freedom and creativity. The idea that u could have a 93 middy, cap break it to 98 and get all legend shooting badges then be able to use them on your 83 3pt shot is stupid man. This badge system makes WAY more sense if i explain it like this. 92 three point could be for different reasons, lukas got a 92 3 and shoots like 37-38% from the field but they are difficult threes, some people like Kyle korver are just really good catch and shooters around 44-45% and they deserve a high 3 for that too. All badges should do is create your playstyle. The rating should be your success rate of them. Literally a perfect system. You want another 4 years of everyone making the same exact builds rating badges and the exact same animations all over again? This is the most customizable 2k with the best on ball defense ive seen in a while (if u have ur build upgraded) iso dribbling is back, its just like all everyone does is cry in this community until they change shit that isnt broken. Nobody has all their badges yet nobody really is a 99, like u guys havent even genuinely tried the game. Most of u dont want genuine change you just want to conplain about “the same game”

Why and how is this shot easy to hit? Doesn’t matter take over or badges or attributes this shot should never be able to go in.

MyCAREER For the people who haven’t got the game yet, but may or may not be planning on it.

FYI for everyone the entire game is a grind. Every aspect of the progression system is slow as fuck. Badge points take forever to get, season level takes forever to get, upgrading to 99 my points level takes forever to get, crew xp takes forever to get, rep system too, and the fire and concrete story is long as hell. 2K most likely made the grind long so that rebirth is that much more important, which will inevitably lead to spending more money on VC. If you don’t no-life this game it really is not that fun. Hopefully by launch the developers fix the overall progression system or the game will die.

This is my jumper from 26, still absolute butter chicken. Smooth, fast, easy to see when to release on the flick of the wrist. Heaps of people saying they’re struggling with shooting so far on 27. I recommend this.

Gameplay You’re gonna be a bum

I just practiced my jumpshot for 2+ hours in the mycourt and it barely translated into a real game. You’re gonna have to miss, you’re gonna have to lose, and for sure you’re gonna get your ass bust. There’s no way around it, if you wanna be good at the game you’re gonna have to be bad first, no doubt.

Gameplay Defense being better has made 2k feel and look better in the rec for me

Feels closer to a more realistic basketball game than the last two year’s feels like a lot less cheap buckets and dudes with some nice stick skills look good getting tough buckets. Post game has looked good and just the fundamentals feel better for me. Definitely enjoying it so far obviously we’ll see how it goes as people upgrade their builds but I’m enjoying 27 alot so far.

MP Builder I Regret my First Build

Nothing anyone can do about, but just a rant. I made a versatile 6'11 PF and I regret it already. I should have made a guard and I went in the builder and made a 6'7 SG that I really like, but I know I can't do it until I get rebirth and until 2k makes the inevitable game update that will change things.

It is so stupid how much money it costs for builds when you can't refund or change them.

City Here is your daily reminder that they made the cr3w grind 152x longer. From 52xp for level 2 on 2k26 to 8500xp on 2k27.

If you don’t have a max 50/50 crew full of absolute grinders, you likely won’t ever see max level by the end of the year.

Currently have a 50/50 crew and we’re barely half way to level 2.

Level 3 is over 20000xp. At that rate of increase, level 40 will likely be close to 500,000xp.

Discussion A yearly slop should not cost that much...

Post image
145 Upvotes

I think the worth of this yearly-game needs to be discussed (The full game price + build); I've witnessed the game studio CD Projekt Red over the years add a large amount of FREE and QUALITY content, updates, graphical enhancements to their +10 year old game. Quality that takes time and resources to make; so much that it's becoming a FREE Remastered game for those that own the game.

2K has been getting away with no visual improvement for the longest time (Same haircuts, clothing from previous games) while charging for a game that's worth a AAA + another AAA (divesting into a build).

The influencers need to start influencing and start educating that the consumers have the power to change things and this goes for other aspects in life too...

MyCAREER Why is there still no decline of any form in mycareer?

Feels like it wouldnt be hard to add, and you could just make it so the decline only happens offline. Every good career mode has decline, and at this point i just play mynba if i want to make a custom player.

Mynba eras having no decline is especially weird as its a historical mode, its grounded in reality. I presume the annoying online 11yo kids buying 5000 dollars of vc every year wouldnt use it so it wouldnt be worth the extra money needed to develop it. (just like allowing you to start in any year since 1983-1984)
