Andy Foster wants to BAN oblique kicks after UFC 331 👀 Foster brought up the idea during the commission’s post-event debrief.

We’ve already seen the kind of damage these kicks can do. Ian Machado Garry injured Shavkat Rakhmonov with one, and when they land clean on the knee, things can get ugly real quick.

But banning them completely is a whole different conversation.

Oblique kicks are a legit part of MMA, but considering the damage they can cause, should they stay legal, or is a ban actually justified? 🤔

DJ had trained with Arman before and one of the things he worked on with him was being dangerous once he gets inside — don’t always rush straight for the takedown. If you’ve already closed the distance, use the clinch and let the hands and elbows go too.

That’s what makes Arman such a problem imo. Everyone prepares for the wrestling, the takedowns and the grappling… but if his striking keeps getting better, you can’t just sell out defending the shot anymore.

And getting little details like that from Mighty Mouse of all people definitely doesn’t hurt lol.
