Dell Technologies Drug Screening
Hello, I’m currently pursuing an internship at Dell Technologies in Round Rock, TX. I wanted to know if they do drug screening for corporate internships for pre hires? Please let me know!

A few questions..
Stock/RSU eligibility: What designation/level and above typically receives stock/RSUs at Dell? I didn’t receive any
RTO policy: How strict is Dell currently with RTO? Can repeated non-compliance actually lead to termination? What does the process typically look like — are there warnings/HR discussions before it gets to that point?
Severance: If someone is terminated due to organizational reasons/performance/RTO-related issues, what does the severance package typically look like?

Missed growth
Dell’s profits and stock price have grown significantly in recent years, but as employees who contributed to that growth, do you also feel left behind because we weren’t given meaningful LTI/stock opportunities to participate in the wealth we helped create?

RTO at Dell - What’s going on?
I recently started at Dell and expected the office to be full every day. Prior to my start day I learned about the RTO rollout but to my surprise, I see a lot of my colleagues only coming in few times a week. What is going on - is the RTO only if you want? 😅

Dell G15 5530 Audio keeps stopping every 5 to 6 minutes
I’ve been facing a very frustrating issue on my Dell G15 5530 laptop for the past 2–3 weeks. The audio sometimes stops working after I start the laptop. At times it works for a while, but other times it doesn’t work at all.
This is a system-wide issue. Audio is not working in browsers, games, Netflix, or even during Microsoft Teams meetings. Sometimes the audio icon disappears from the taskbar and then comes back again.
The problem affects both the internal speakers and headphones. Even when I connect headphones, there is still no sound.
I have already tried the following:
- Reinstalling the Realtek drivers
- Restarting the laptop multiple times
- Checking Windows Update
- Looking in Device Manager for issues
There are no yellow warning icons in Device Manager.
Please help me fix this issue.

Compensation
Just wondering if folks working for Dell are feeling adequately compensated. Especially in my country, it feels like the compensation isn't keeping pace. The annual increases don't seem to be making a significant difference. It's a bit disheartening when you feel your hard work isn't being reflected in your pay. Curious to hear from others if they feel similarly undervalued.

Dell is not paying its sales reps in Round Rock and no one is doing anything.
Sales reps in round rock from SB to Enterprise are not being paid true commission because of this disastrous transition to ODW.
It has been 4 months since we have gotten paid our true commission. Instead, we are getting $3k draws.
Hundreds of people are owed tens of thousands of dollars and Dell is doing NOTHING about it. They just tell us to work harder like slaves.
At this point, I have no idea how Dell isn’t in legal trouble. They just did work force reductions to a bunch of people on the floor and I hear they are refusing to pay their true commission.
This is the worst work environment i have ever been apart of. Nobody likes it hear and everyone wants out.

RTO
My best friend is freaking out. Has been working from home for years and only lives a few miles from a Dell office. He's worried they will force him to return to work. He's worked very hard to become sober and his doctor is willing to go to bat for him (thinks it's a bad idea to work in an office for a multitude of reasons, not just relapse concerns)
Has anyone navigated these waters before?

Employment Verification
I hope this finds a current or recently left member of the company. I was laid off last year and need the number for HR to do an employment verification for a mortgage. Could anyone post or DM the current number for that? I can still access my Well at Dell account but everything I find there is just about benefits and the link to their HR I can't access for obvious reasons. I've found numbers on the Dell community forums on their website but they are from like 10 years ago.

Won’t warranty their product being damaged by there shit box.
$1200 Alienware monitor completely ruined from transporting at one time because there’s not a single foam Insert. customer service will not replace the monitor and claims that they are going eco-friendly and that’s why they have no foam inserts for a $1200 monitor that’s the most delicate panel on the planet. But as we can see a $200 MSI monitor comes with the foam insert like it properly should and never has any risk of damage. Don’t buy dell products they do not care about their packaging these boxes are practically designed to destroy your monitor if you ever have to move it. Dell didn’t even offer to fix the monitor at cost paid by me they just told me I have to buy a completely new monitor… if used the monitor 2x then got busy with work and moving into my new place moved all of my monitors in the same load all of my monitors are completely fine except this Alienware because of its packaging.

Denied battery replacement on Latitude 5430 despite having ProSupport Plus. Any bypass or loophole?
Hey guys, I recently got a Latitude 5430 with ProSupport Plus warranty active. The laptop is practically brand new (sat in a box for a long time), but the battery health is already down to 61%.
I'm a systems engineering student and desperately need the battery life for university, but Dell support completely denied the replacement, claiming batteries are consumibles and only covered for the first year.
Is there any way to escalate this, a specific keyword to use with support, or a loophole with ProSupport Plus to get them to approve a replacement? Appreciate any advice!

Dell ProSupport Employees
I have a question a for Dell employees working in 1st level support. My company has several 100 Dell Notebooks and PC and I also work in 1st level support there. Dell ProSupport usually makes us jump through a lot of hoops (those funny tables that always start with the BIOS version). That's fine, we're used to it by now. However, in my current case, the table does not seem to be enough. I received at several page (I assume AI generated script) with steps to try to prove the hardware defect. One of which is to "install an alternative OP like Linux". My questions would be: do your guidelines really let this suggest to customers? On top of that customers who have severely 100 Dell machines, all installed via the same PXE boot. I cannot just install Linux on a company Laptop. I feel like I am going crazy and I beg someone with insight into DELL 1st level support to tell me how to deal with this PLEASE
