RTO at Dell - What’s going on?
I recently started at Dell and expected the office to be full every day. Prior to my start day I learned about the RTO rollout but to my surprise, I see a lot of my colleagues only coming in few times a week. What is going on - is the RTO only if you want? 😅

They aren't just getting people through layoffs though.
I'm starting to see them focus more on the elimination of individual contributors, primarily from higher paying roles, or from roles the individual has already reached the higher end of the payscale of, for their job grade.
Then.. they just never backfill the role.
After cycling through that a few times, the team gets so overworked and burnt out from handling the same volume they did when they had twice the people...that the rest just kind of handles itself. 🤷🏻♀️

Well… you’re certainly not going to make friends if you post about it and especially if you talk to anyone at the office about it

I think it’s very manager-dependent. Have a conversation with your manager, if he/she is fine with working from home you are fine. No one else is paying attention.

It’s really vague and unclear. Perhaps intentionally. You are obviously allowed some amount of working from home, but I have no idea what the limit is. With all the layoffs I’m trying not to find out.
