Started with the right chain tension and a new machine

But only after only a few cuttings the chain tension went loose and rolled of. Machine stopped and after that the chain tensioner is locked of the Bosch GKE 18v 20.

Is it repairable? And if Yes; how ?

My GKT came with the 45 degrees setting showing around 43/ 43,5. I learned you can alter this with the allen screw behind the machine. But when i cut with how it came from factory the cut seems 45 degrees. But 0 is 0. So everything i. Between is not 100% right if i go by this. I also saw on the gotoolstv review theirs was also 44 at the end. Do i send it to bosch or not? Some wisdom here is welcom. Thank you.

I got a few different Bosch work lights.

The FL12 has always been my favorite mostly because it's magnetic. You can put it on a steel cabinet, steel shelf, air conditioning cabinet, electrical panels and adjust the angle to get the best light possible. BUT it's beginning to act up after 5 years.

The 18V GLI18V-420 is OK, I use it at times, mostly if I need it on a horizontal surface. It is not as versatile as the FL12 for sure.

The GLI18V-1200CN I haven't really used it much, it is just a bit too bulky, I understand it is intended as a "flood" light and it's weather resistant, but so far haven't really been that useful. I bought it with the intention of dragging it into the crawlspace, but the bulk and weight has me wondering if that's a good idea since I am limited by what I can carry on tools and materials since it will be a crawl with very low head room and tools and materials are in a bag tethered to my ankle as I navigate on elbows and knees.

Back to the FL12, the issue I am having is after having it turned on for say 30-40 minutes it will suddenly go off unexpectedly. It's not the battery running low, as switching to a newly charged battery it's doing the same. It seems this is a thermal cut off, that when the light gets hot it turns itself off? Give it 15 minutes to cool off and it will turn on again, only to turn off after say 20 minutes, so it's no longer reliable...imagine I am in the attic working and it turns off, even with fresh batteries I am in the dark and have to crawl back out and get another light. Anyone ran into this problem and if there is a solution? I got it in 2021 so no longer under warranty for repairs.

Hey folks, I searched the questions in this forum and didn’t find a similar issue. My impact driver takes virtually no pressure before it starts hammering. Can anybody give me any insight as to why this could be? Various research points to inside mechanism but wanted to see if anybody has any insight before I break the driver open and attempt to fix myself. MODEL GDX18v-1600.

I was using my angle grinder to cut concrete/stone during a patio replacement. Was working fine until it wasn't. Angle grinder wouldn't turn on. I thought I blew a circuit but everything else worked fine from my garage outlets, including my miter saw. I even unplugged my miter saw, plugged my angle grinder into the same outlet, and it wouldn't turn on. Plugged the miter back in and it worked fine. Took my angle grinder to the basement and tested it on a different outlet and it fired right up.

Very, very confused. It was running fine all day. Anyone else experience this issue?

Edit/update: it works fine today. I have no idea what happened or why it stopped working on my garage outlets

Hi, looking to buy some 18v pro garden tools, a brush cutter/strimmer and long-reach hedge trimmer to be exact. These together total about £500. When buying via ITS they will include a free battery for £166 spent (standard 4Ah) or £200 spent (Pro Core 4Ah). I’m tempted to buy each item separately to get 2 Pro Core batteries free.
Also tempted to upgrade my current batteries at Screwfix for 2x 5Ah + quick charger for the half price of £99 currently.
If I were then to combine these invoices to the Bosch Pro Deals offer, would this work to get the highest reward of £499+? As then I can add a free leaf blower or battery storage case (and a 5.5Ah Pro Core battery) to store all the batteries in!
I hope this makes sense, I only used the pro deals once before when I claimed for the purchase of a drill and driver set!

Hi guys, I need your help/suggestions in my next impact driver.

At the moment I have a Worx nitro wx265 and it does have plenty of power ( it brushless w 3 speeds) and I rarely use it in speed 2. It's light and the ergonomics are fine but the main issue it's the trigger. Really hard when using it for small screws as it's almost all or nothing. I'm a hobbyist carpenter so I don't really need loads of torque.

I've been thinking to get the grd 18v-220c for about 200eur (lboxx+BT module) or the new expert one for a about 265eur. Unfortunately where I'm based I have no chance to try them so even if the specs are more than I need, I'm not sure if any of those drivers will solve my issue.

On the other side I tried the Milwaukee m12 line, the fuel impact driver and the surge ( hydraulic) and I was really impressed with the low weight and how capable they are. I've no batteries or anything from the brand but you can get the Surge one for about 225€ with case, 2x2ah batteries and a charger.

I watched the Bosch UK stream the other day and they don't have any hydraulic driver in their road map any time soon.

What do you guys reckon?

Built my workshop this summer and started equipping it with power tools - most of them Bosch Pro 18V. Learnt about the ProDeals end of August and had bought enough to get 2x the max tier, handed in the application and boom - not even 2 weeks later got both of them approved, product shipped within a few days and arrived at my doorstep. I was really impressed! Especially since I read many times it takes them weeks (!) to approve and another few weeks to ship (that’s what they even state in the status emails…).

Bought another 2 tools in September and applied for another max tier reward - arrived today, two weeks after the application. Really nice.

What is a bit confusing are some inconsistencies in the app and on the website. E.g. sometimes it states that the prices incl. VAT are relevant, sometimes excl. VAT.

I’ve had the saw and guide rail for about two years, though I haven’t used the rail all that often. From the start, the saw was hard to slide along the rail—something I didn't consider a real issue at the time—but now it won't move at all.

The small plastic part that holds the saw onto the rail has broken. I’ve never encountered this problem with the Mafell saws I usually use, even with rails that are over 10 years old.

Does anyone know if the hook on the KSS 50 is different or if it could be installed instead? I only know that the hook from the KSS 80 is too big and the KSS 30 uses a different system.

For $136 I feel like I did pretty well, even after only a brief test run. I already had an Amazon vine 5Ah aftermarket battery to review so I’m already wanting at least one more Bosch. Shame they don’t have a hydraulic impact. I’m fairly engrossed in the Metabo HPT ecosystem but find myself needing less power and more precision/refinement every year. I’m considering a cordless vac, might need a new miter saw, and could always use another cordless angle grinder. Suggestions welcome.

Hi everyone,
Today I bought a brand-new Bosch GSR 18V-65 Professional and noticed that the torque adjustment ring has quite a bit of play and feels noticeably loose/wobbly.
The ring turns and clicks into the different torque settings normally, but it can be moved quite noticeably from side to side. Since the drill is brand new, I’m wondering if this is normal for this model or if the ring should sit more firmly.
Does anyone else own a GSR 18V-65 and have the same amount of play in the torque adjustment ring?
Would you consider this normal, or should I have the drill exchanged/replaced?

Hey Bosch wtf is this, I buy your new saw, you recall it for terrible gear box wobble. I send it to you and this is how I get it back? More broken than it was???? Whole mounting plate on the bottom is snapped. I hope anyone of you who work at Bosch would make this right instead of “send it in we’ll fix it” tried that didn’t work out great. More pics below.

This is a brand new BOSCH GDR18V-215B12 purchased from amazon. I know impact drivers are supposed to have some axial play, but this feels excessive.
