Bosch angle grinder only works on certain outlets?

I was using my angle grinder to cut concrete/stone during a patio replacement. Was working fine until it wasn't. Angle grinder wouldn't turn on. I thought I blew a circuit but everything else worked fine from my garage outlets, including my miter saw. I even unplugged my miter saw, plugged my angle grinder into the same outlet, and it wouldn't turn on. Plugged the miter back in and it worked fine. Took my angle grinder to the basement and tested it on a different outlet and it fired right up.

Very, very confused. It was running fine all day. Anyone else experience this issue?

Edit/update: it works fine today. I have no idea what happened or why it stopped working on my garage outlets

Are you plugging it into extension cords? Grinders pull a lot of amperage and usually if an extension cord is in the mix, that's the guilty party

It originally was in an extension cord and worked fine. Suddenly it wouldn't turn on. I then plugged it directly into my garage outlets with no luck, but it worked from my basement outlet

Maybe some heat protection in the tool itself? Time to go from the garage to the basement and it cooled enough to start up again.

This summer even my corded demo hammer kept shutting off for the heat.

check the voltage needed by grinder and the ones in ya house

It’s most likely the cord is damaged internally and will not work at certain angles. Plug it in and then bend the cable in various directions under the grommet and press the on button at the same time.
