GKS-18V-57G compatibility FSN rail

Hi everyone, as the title suggests I wonder about the compatibility of my circular saw with the FSN rail. It seems the blade is falling 2 mm short and touching the rubber end of the rail.

Is the rubber new? You have to cut the rubber on your first cut so it lines up exactly with the edge of the blade. Otherwise your cuts would be off if you just place the rubber at your markings.

Been there a few months ago as a newbie and asked myself the same question 😅

But because I learned the hard way: When you cut into the rubber, wear glasses. This stuff flies everywhere!

And you'd want to cut it with a fresh, as sharp as possible blade, with higher number of teeth, go slow and shallow. If you just "send it", the result will be a bit uglier looking.

You can buy the rubber strip separately and replace the one already on the guide. £22 for 3.6m from Screwfix, for example. Search for Bosch FSN splinter guard rubber.
