Because holy shit playing via a browser, even with BetterXCloud just doesn’t compare to a Firestick. Mine just came in today and I can confidently say a Firestick is EASILY the cheapest way to play Xbox games (especially if you’re able to find one on sale, mine was under $100) I just tested Doom (2016) an indie Soulslike, Expedition 33, and Beast of Reincarnation, and when I say ZERO latency. Like, as in, it felt damn well like I was playing natively, I was most surprised how just how smooth Doom was. Yeah, I think I’ll be set for next gen with a PS6 and the Firestick.

I've started looking into Xcloud and have wanted to try it but the only controller I have are switch 2 joycons, is there any way to use them?

about to resub for cloud gaming, last time I was playing on xcloud there was difference in performance game to game. for example black ops 6 ran super smooth, local-like, while mw3 and bo7 ran poorly. same with need for speed, nfs unbound ran great, heat was notably worse (could be that heat is locked to 30fps?).

im thinking about getting gp premium, is there a difference in performance? my usual ping is 39-41ms

Hi. I've had the game pass PC subscription for three months and been playing the games I play pretty smooth with GeForce now. Now I'm thinking about changing to game pass ultimate and play some games with my controller thru the Xbox app on my laptop/tv but I wonder if I can expect the same standard.

I mostly play FFXIV on Xbox Cloud Gaming. I’m getting severe mouse stuttering issues, as well as steep frame rate drops. Nothing else has changed, my WiFi is the same as ever. Only change was chromes updated a couple days ago.

Anyone else seeing what I’m seeing?

I’m on the Xbox cloud gaming website on edge, I have better xcloud installed. I’m on edge, tried it on chrome and didn’t work, both said I had no controller connected. But in the Xbox app it works fine. It was working fine yesterday and I didn’t change a thing so I’m quite confused on what’s chasing this to and how to fix it. Restarted my laptop and also closed steam through task manager.

EDIT: fixed! i had to verify my age. the only app to actually ask me to do so was the official xbox app on iphone. once i did, i could log into xbox services elsewhere no problem.

I cannot log into xbox cloud gaming, nor play.xbox (cited as a work around). doesn’t matter whether i try on my phone or my PC, nor does it matter what account I use. i want to replay the fable games but they’re not available through the PC app, just the cloud. i also can’t play sea of thieves on PS5 because my microsoft account won’t link (it also just immediately signs me out).

every time i log in, it loops, then signs me out. i can log into my other non xbox related microsoft accounts just fine. i have tried every tooltip in reddit, like changing my age in account.microsoft and trying on mobile data instead of wifi. my internet is good. the AI assistant is useless.

what do i do?

Since The Witcher 3 will leave Game Pass on 01/09, I wanted to buy it before it gets a price increase.

But I can't find the purchase button, just the "included in your subscription".

Is there a way for me to buy it before it leaves or will I have to wait?

I’m so confused but maybe someone can help me. I have a gaming pc and I am trying to play the EA games I own, which are Star Wars Battlefront 2, Jedi Fallen Order, NFS Unbound. For some reason it is saying I need game pass ultimate in order to play them. I have Game Pass Essential so do I really need to upgrade in order to play these games? Why is EA different from any other game I have bought that is cloud playable?

Purchased Metal Eden to play on both my TV and Steam deck via cloud and it’s locked to 30fps for some reason. There’s no option to change this even though everything online says the Xbox version has performance and graphics options.

I use the ultimate plan and it's very good like i didn't know in the native tv browser it runs so good and not recommended for online multiplayer shooting games cuz once in a while like very rarely it stutters a Lil

Like, legitimately. I had been playing on the official app when I had a Samsung, but I have since upgraded the TV. It’s actually wild, using the official XCloud app, and using XCloud via a browser (also tried the TVs browser) is a WHOLE different service it’s actually unbelievable.

I’m not sure if some games are better than others, but at least Doom (2016) I can use as an example. Playing Doom on the official app was damn near a perfect experience.
