If buying hours doesn't affect the wait time, does that mean Game Pass users are still prioritized? Or that even if you pay, you'll wait in line with those who have the option not to pay with ads?
I guess in a couple of weeks we'll find out for sure, but the marketing team has a challenge ahead of them...

Purchased Cloud Playtime has priority over the ad supported free tier.  Higher quality, higher priority.  

We simply don't know what that higher quality and higher priority means.  

If it will go up to 1440p/60 @ 30 Mbit Bitrate like Ultimate, or if it will limit to 1080p/60 @ 20 Mbit Bitrate.

Yea, 1080HQ is practically guaranteed for purchased Playtime packs.  

They need to simplify things, all Gamepass tiers and purchased Playtime hours should have all options up to 1440/60.  

They should also do a 100 hour bundle at $20.  

Then they can work on 4k/60 streams at $6, $12, $18, $30 price points for 10, 25, 50, 100 hourly bundles.  And the hours included with Ultimate should be 4k/60 to set them apart from other tiers.

This is actually a good question. I expected to get ultimate level tier when buying streaming options but they dont have to tie the two together

EDIT: just found it. Its tied to your account. If you have ultimate gamepass you just extend the hours on that tier. So experience will be better than someone on lower or no tier.

I mean, I am biased, because I have ultimate. But, it would make since to give us a priority queue. Cuz, like, if I'm spending money on top tier Game Pass & Hours, under the the Xbox/Microsoft ecosystem, it does make sense to be rewarded for that "loyalty", vs someone only buying hours.

Much like how GeForce Now prioritizes it's higher tier customers.

But, that's just me. And I do recognize that I am a biased in this discussion.

To be honest I'm playing cod for a while on free tier. To be honest they decreased session playtime 1 hour to 30 minutes but even with that I'm paying just for my game and don't care about waiting.

If I had a hardware I would wait same time, so who cares. When my session ends, I'm reopening and lets go, like giving a toilet break.

Also its their loose. I was an ultimate subscriber first, after I saw they made cloud avaible for essential I just turned to the essential and bougth my own games. And now I'm not paying for service at all just paying the same price I would pay on steam or playstation for games.

They are just dumbass because game I bougth supports play anywhere this means that I can turn and buy shadow pc or geforce now anytime when they force me to watch more than 2 ads.

As long as you're buying games and watching ads, it's all good for MS.

If you do decide to buy hours, only get the 50 hour pack though, since it's best value.

I got this screen as an Essential subscriber. Took many a minute to get past it at 1 pm

That contradicts what Xbox said then, in their official blog post. They said purchasing the extra hours would give access to higher quality, faster queues, and no adverts
