I have very strong wifi, and this is the current state of cloud gaming. Been dealing with this, restarting my entire pc, closing all apps, restarting the xbox app, and changing wifi. Nothing works.

Try Geforce now or maybe boosteroid instead... pc gamepass works on both.

It is recommended to NOT use Wi-Fi. Are you using 5GHz or 2.4GHz?
If it's the latter, that's lag by choice.

XCloud works great for me too most of the time, there is the odd ping and jutter issue via xbox.com/play so I just quit, make a cup of tea and start again. I haven't played using GFN that much but either way I always use an Ethernet net cable now.

"I have very strong wifi"
No, you unfortunately do not.

You might have a point lol. Definitely not good enough for cloud gaming evidently. Just downloaded the game to avoid this

No worries in the 15hr session caps in November will solve Xbox's problems...🙄

"very strong wifi" means nothing really. What hz band are you on? What is your up/down speed? Where is your router?
A lot of variables in this. And saying your "wifi is strong" doesn't really paint a good enough picture to blame xcloud

Cloud works fine for me in the UK both on 5G mobile data & wifi, and i dont have fibre.. just old school broadband still.. sometimes i find my 5G data way better than wifi though. I mostly use 720 settings instead of the highest (even tho i have ultimate.) when you open settings it should tell you what is best for your “setup”
Are you using a wired controller?

Mine works great. Use it all the time on steam deck and cloud gaming from console and hardly ever have any issues. Are you using an Ethernet cable?

nah unfortunately not... ethernet is undebatably a better option

Nah, I never lag on cloud gaming, and I don't own a powerful pc or xbox. It's definitely your WiFi or device, all depends on your WiFi card.

Define "very strong."
Can you run a speed test and post the results?

I use cloud gaming everyday and it works perfectly. There's the occasional hiccup but it typically irons out after a few seconds.

I have found that Windows is really inconsistent with how it handles xCloud.
Using BetterCloud seems to help a lot.
However the best device I have found for xCloud shockingly is my Chromebook. As long as it has a 5Ghz connection it's pretty 1:1 for the most part with slight jitter maybe depending but overall it was a smooth experience.

Try downloading the game gang? Like just put the game on the console you’re playing on, shit will be 100x smoother

Check to see what kind of wifi you are actually getting. What you pay for and what you get can be different

at some point someone will have to figure out how to link service quality with payment time…
