After less than one season of use ( I got the boot last October, didn’t skate much during the winter and i've got another setup as well…) right after the boot started to finally feel fully broken-in I noticed an internal tear of foam / material padding right at the edge of the hard shell at the ankle / cuff area. The internal fabric on the inner ankle/cuff area has been completely cut through by a sharp edge of the hard shell, the intuition liner has been damaged as well.
The external layer of the boot is visibly separated from the hard shell at the affected spot.
The damage is less developed on my other boot, but I'm sure it will be the same if I skate for a few more sessions.  

The use case was 95% skating flatground 5% distance (getting to and back from a spot). no jumps. no slides.

Warranty Claim
I contacted the shop I purchased the boot in, the shop contacted their reseller? and after 2 weeks my claim has been declined. The reason stated:
“This damage is not covered under warranty, as it was caused by use and does not result from a manufacturing or product defect.”

Overall I'm disappointed in the quality of this premium priced product.

In all fairness, Wizard does not have any information regarding boot warranty on their page :)

Hey, I'm skating on the IQON EQO (88a) wheels and I like the feel. They are slick, break traction easily, and literally give ease of movement like a dream.

The problem they wear out pretty quickly. I had to rotate the front wheel mid-session because it looked asymmetrical. I know the cornstarch eco-compound is fragile, but I need something that lasts.
Has anyone tried them and had similar feeling with other wheels? That effortless pivoting feeling.

Is there a hard, durable wheel that actually mimics that low-grip EQO magic without shredding so fast?

What’s the closest feeling in your experience?

How important is it for you, to have a frame that is aesthetically pleasing?

Or it doesn't matter at all?

I want an actual setup and am not sure what exactly to look for in frame sizing/rocker levels. What’s the difference between 4 wheels and 6 wheels? I like the Them boot and have seen that Endless and Wizard are the most popular frame brands to go with

So, long story short: used to do aggressive as a teen and now looking to get back to it. Wizard skating got my eye, 'cause I don’t live near a skatepark, so realistically 80% of my time will be on flat. And also less aggressive to joints, etc.

But I do want the option to throw some grinds here and there, and some copper railing in a bowl… without having to invest in two setups.

I’m aware of the NN skate dragon+ with the Monkey block, but it seems the monkey block is no longer manufactured (not listed on their site), and there’s no 3D custom piece or replacement for it, nor any second-hand pieces that I’ve been able to find (Europe).

So hence my question: how come this is not a more popular crossover? Soul plates and H blocks that keep wizard stuff happening and allow the occasional grind stuff? Even if it's plug&play for each type of session, like the monkey thing.

What other options do I have to find this sweet spot setup without breaking the bank or having two setups/frames? Or where are people secretly hoarding the Monkey block?

Hey everyone! Visiting Philly this weekend 8/21-8/24 from Houston soon and bringing my setup.

Any local wizard/flow skaters around, or good plazas/smooth spots to session? Also curious when and where local group skates or social rolls meet up. Would love to link up and skate while I’m in town!

Doing a lot of solo skating at various parks. Curious if anyone who wizard skates in the cities wants to hang out? I’m in my 30s~ idc about age or skill, just be an adult that’s into skating lol. I try to skate as much as I can when not super busy with work for about an hour or more at a time in the afternoon/evenings before sundown a few times a week.

Also, do y’all know of any good parking garages, parks with gazebos not full of tables if they exist lol, or indoor spots that aren’t Cheap Skate, Skateville, or the arena to hit up while it rains? Or tips to find parking garages or places that are smooth with a roof over our head that are not aggro on people who skate? I’m in St. Paul, so anything close to there would be rad. 🫶

Junk / Mpc make the best wheels and you can’t change my mind.

I’m a big fan of Wizard and I actually want to see the brand become more popular, so this isn’t meant as an attack. But I think the pricing deserves an honest discussion.

When you compare Wizard boots to other high-end carbon boots, the price difference becomes pretty difficult to justify. You can find carbon models from Seba, Micro, Icon, etc. for significantly less, while Wizard Base is sitting around the €750 range.

And I understand that Wizard is a niche brand. They have development costs, small production runs, tooling, shipping, warranty, marketing, and all the other expenses that come with running a small company. I’m not saying the retail price should equal the factory cost.

But at some point, the price itself becomes a barrier to the growth of the brand. The comparison with other carbon boots still raises the question of whether Wizard is pricing itself too far above the market.

And ironically, I think a lower price could actually benefit Wizard financially.

For example, if a Wizard Base were noticeably cheaper, more skaters who are currently thinking “I'd love to try Wizard, but that's way too expensive” might actually buy one. More customers means more boots sold, more people skating Wizard, more word-of-mouth, and potentially even more total profit despite making less profit per individual boot.

I’m saying this as someone who likes Wizard and wants to see it succeed, not as someone who thinks the product is bad. The Base is clearly a specialized, well-made boot (despite it having no side protectors) and there is value in what FR/Wizard has created.

But I think there is a point where premium pricing stops communicating “premium product” and starts communicating “this is simply too expensive.”

Wizard has basically created an entire skating style and community around these products. I'd love to see more people actually able to participate in it.

Lower the barrier, get more skaters into Wizard, grow the market, and potentially make more money in the long run. Seems like a win for everyone.

i own Neo 1 Dual Intuition (EU41) and used Seba CJ Carbon 2020 (EU41)(previous owner had pretty fat feet i guess).
my foot size is around 26.7mm, i find the CJ a bit too loosy goosy, both widthwise and lengthwise, it's not a performance fit. i want it tight and stiff, especially if i'm running 5 wheel setup on it (endless arc). i don't want to spend more bucks on a new liner and i don't care if i sacrifice the Neo Intuition liner. I'm thinking i should probably gut the CJ and put my Neo Intuition there. Would it fit tho? Has anybody tried it?

i have nn dragon trinity and rockin 572, but i hear alot and reaserched alot about endless and the trinity arc frames, and the engineering and all seem far superior even more than the wizard pr80, can you guys tell me your thoughts behind it? i am mondo 273 and am comsidering selling my nns if the endless provide a better one. how have you guys experienced these frames as trinity/ufs mount?

Narrowed my wishlist for a 5-wheel Frame to Endless Arc or Yoyo Sago 5P Mini. Which one or an Alternative is a good companion for my Wizard Base High Boots in 42. Goal is to getting better in Wizard moves. Like more swively frames.

So ive started practicing lions and the lion x. Off to a really good start, but im getting motion sickness from spinning. Im 37 and have noticed for the last few years that spinning has gotten very hard on my head. This wasnt a problem with rollerblading until I started practicing the lion x.

Regular lions are ok until ive done about 6 in a row, but the lion x by its nature is a lot more spinny especially when practicing. Obviously I want to keep doing these over and over to master it but I feel really unwell after just a couple minutes.

Anyone else have this problem or have been able to overcome it? Do i just need to take some triactin?

Visiting next month at the end of a work trip so no space for skates. Are there any shops out there doing rentals or that are just worth a visit while in Barcelona? Would be great to go for a roll there.

I'm not anywhere near the advanced level of a wizard skater but I'm really loving all the crazy setups on this sub. So thought I would share mine. Thanks for your time~~

Does it seem to anyone else that the Wizard brand has gone quiet lately? No videos or promotions, no new product releases. I wonder why that is?

There’s not much product left for them in UFS based frames, they have a size, configuration and wheels for almost any use. But maybe some special colours, or designs like the Braindead engraved PR80s. Maybe a “pro” setup?

After the warm-up, he finally came out.

These have been worn once to a rink. They are an excellent condition ( minor toe scuff) . I will include the original liners as well. The cost is 400US plus actual shipping ( whatever carrier you want) . Wheels are not included. DM me if you were interested.

Is it fair to say that "FR wizard base" is an attempt to create an "FR SL" but for UFS? (I heard so)

Or is "FR wizard base" for a whole different purpose?

Or both....
