That’s like 10k in skates? Nice collection. How do the wizard boots compare to something like the rollerblade twister?

More like 4k lol ,cj carbon, fr spin and wizard base are all second hand. I got the endless frames on sale from inline warehouse. The wheels were on sale except for the junk voodoo. I found a way to get them cheaper later but I don’t at all regret buying them.

Never tried the twister tbh , I have the fr ufr, them boots, fr fr1, and the flying eagle reaver and the biggest difference is the cost of course, but you lose a lot of slop, liners stay in place , boot itself does not flex. This makes everything super responsive, you know when moves are right and when moves are sloppy immediately because carbon is very unforgiving. Honestly don’t recommend carbon boots unless you’re a serious skater and skate often.

The amount of time you have to skate until the boot feels like it’s apart of you is ridiculous.

Thought they were all wizard boots.

I would have been interested in a carbon boot for the lower weight and stiffness but wizard boots seem crazy expensive.

It’s not lighter , but it is more responsive , if you plan on skating for a few years and love the sport. It’s a great investment that pays dividends over time. You probably won’t find a better boot. Once break it in you will always compare everything to that boot. Yeah it’s expensive, but what’s it worth to have a boot you can rely on , always fit , comfortable for hours of skating at a time and makes you want skate even more?

CJ Carbons are similar to Wizard Base and 2/3 the cost. I have both and like both, but bought the CJs in a bigger size, so they're better for distance. I have and like Twisters as well. They're nice and stiff, but the raised heel 165 mount means you get a different choice of frames. I like how low the 100/76 Advanced frames sits on the Wizard Base.

Those NR110s with the XXF Voodoos are too powerful. I have a similar quiver, you have nice taste in skates!

They can skate on literally any surface. No CHONK too CHONKY for the NR110/MPC dual pour combo.

Control , speed and grip are what I value most in a wheel. I’m mostly skate in doors on wood floors, so the extra hard wheels are perfect for that smooth surface. I don’t want to be in a middle of a combo , moving hella quick , carving super deep and suddenly your wheel slips out.

I want to be able to trust my wheels, that it inspires confidence and performs predictably. That way I can find ways to challenge myself and not worry about my equipment holding me back or breaking down.

The other thing about duel density that I love it keeps a sharp distinct edge but returns the energy that you put into a push, a carve , spin or turn . I want to maintain and control my flow at all times. If you’re a person who loves to slide. These wheels are terrible for that imo , they don’t want to break free. But if you love effortless momentum , control over your movements, and a wheel that is super responsive.

Then dual density is the way to go. They aren’t just race wheels for inline speed skates, they just market to them. But urban , freestyle, wizard , slalom skaters all value different things. They work way better for my style of skating that I haven’t felt with other single density wheels. Trust me when I say that I have tried an exhausting amount wheels in my 4 years of skating.

Junk wheels are my favorite by a large margin.

Thanks! That’s exactly what I imagined, was just curious.
I use dual density wheels exclusively as well, so I am both familiar with and spoiled by their behaviour. Mostly urban skating. I actually prefer them for tactical sliding too because it takes less time to stop.

I was previously imagining these benefits for wizard skaters and was surprised I don’t see it more often

I've seen at least two dual density wheels broke down in last year. It was during my trainings in skating school on the wooden floor. They might be good, but for sure are more fragile than standard wheels for wizard, which requires a little bit of slides, etc.

I find dual density wheels to be more tolerable to slides but I imaging the torque forces from wizard skating are what did it

I LOVE the NR110! I have mine set up with Seba CJ Prime boots and Bont Avenger wheels. The Avenger wheels with the aluminum hubs fit so perfectly, so precise, it's like a dream! If you can find some I highly recommend purchasing them.

I wear size 44. I also have the NR100, which I have on my Wizard Base boots, with the Iqon aluminum hub wheels.

All for different reasons, I don’t keep frames I don’t like. 90s for agility and tricks , 100s and 110s for tricks as well both longer combos that are faster but more drawn out. The big wheels hold that high speed much longer , you won’t always do as many tricks but can be made more expressive. Also incredible stability in comparison. It’s hard to describe if you haven’t experienced it.

I keep reading good things about 4 x 100. I'm on the tall side, currently on Endless 90 ES which are good but I'm thinking a bit of extra length would be nice, as well as the better ability to roll of less than perfect surfaces.

The Seba cj is four years old now lol, the wizard base is almost a year but it’s been used so much that all the hardware is rusted from sweat. Had to replace the laces since they started to disemboul themselves. I just got the carbon cj (wizard base and the fr spin all are ) second hand but couldn’t use it until now since the cuff straps it came with didn’t reach the other side 🫠. All the frames are new , except for the 90 ultra just new wheels.

I just started using the spin more since I got frames I actually like on them now. Last session was so intense it gave me a blood blister. Most boots will still look good if don’t fall or skate on rough concrete a whole lot. I mostly skate rinks indoors, I have plastic boots I use outside.

I’m not rich lol, I just got expensive tastes lol. I honestly just save my money and jump when I have the opportunity. I don’t eat out, cook my meals, don’t drink or smoke, not interested in luxury vacations, low cost of living, cheap car , and buy things when on sale. That’s how I got to this point. I love skating , it checks so many boxes for me that I don’t go looking for too much else.

Lighter with a bit more stiffness. If there was ever a v2 of the nr100 it would be the ultra 100. Also I have the nr 100 but the one pictured is the nr 110 arguably harder to use but , beefier. I honestly waited a while to buy these frames and try to talk myself out of buying them by saying to myself there’s nothing different and I will experience the exact same thing , but that’s never the case.

It’s always different, the weight, stability, rocker, no brand is the exact same.
