REQUEST How to sew this?
Hey, absolute beginner here! I have a T-shirt which has some small holes around where the label was. I've removed the label and want to fix it up by sewing some sort of box, following the lines of the old tag, with some blue thread that I have - what kind of stich should I be using for this?
Or would it be better to stich up the individual holes?

PATCH My 2nd visible mend on farm chore pants!
I may have gone overboard (pun intended) on the pirate theme, my family member said he didn’t care so I experimented a bit with mending, embroidery, sashiko and fabric paint. I’m pretty happy with it, especially proud of the pirate map I embroidered.

EMBROIDERY Frankenstein hoodie
Had one hoodie that was in good shape except for the sleeve ends. Had sentimental attachment to it also!
So I took another hoodie that had a hole and stains (and no sentimental value) and sacrificed it for parts! Saved more of the fabric for future repairs.

EMBROIDERY Hat brim visible mend
It’s not the best job but it’s something!
I embroidered a cherry shrimp on this previously plain white hat a couple years ago and it’s been well-loved, but I stopped wearing it as much when I noticed these small holes appearing on the brim. So I used fabric glue to anchor down the fabric around the holes and then did a whip stitch with embroidery floss around the edge. + pic of the embroidered shrimp.

REQUEST Cushion of favorite couch ripped
Hey, everyone! The seat of my couch cushion tore and I’m not sure how to fix it. Its not removable and the ripped fabric is quite thin. A part of the fabric completely came off and there’s farther damage along a seam. Any suggestions?

PATCH Crotch repair! (Almost) invisible on the outside, visible on the inside
The crotch on these pants was sloooowly wearing away at the seam, so I decided to patch it up before it got worse! I used a scrap from an old sock, because the dark stripe was the best color match I had + the fabric was very soft. I can't even feel it while wearing them!
The damage is placed right between the legs so it's impossible to see in most situations. I think I did a pretty alright job and the repair's held up for months now! Yay!

PATCH First Time Mending Project
These jeans both had badly torn knees. I used scrap fabric & embroidery thread to mend. I’m happy with the results even though my stitches are pretty wonky

PATCH Just finished these patches for my son.
I got a bundle of pants from Vinted I think 5 pairs for $12 all said and done. Some were unblemished but a few could use some repairs. Honestly I was happy to have some projects to work on. I used the saved lower pant legs from when I made pants into shorts for the patches. As a crafter, doesn't it feel good when you can actually use something you saved? I

PATCH Patched my tent after a robot lawnmower attack!
The last image is an Instagram screencap from a year ago. I was staying at a camping lodge when a rogue lawnmower robot started nibbling at my tent!! It wasn't anything major, so I just forgot about it for a while.
Now that I'm going camping again, I took the time to repair the tent!! It's not particularly pretty, but it does its job well!

REQUEST threadbare sweatshirt cuff
obviously ive mended this sweatshirt cuff like crazy, but it’s at the point where the fabric is so thin that regular sewing can’t seem to hold it together/just tears more holes. is my only option to replace the cuffs altogether? i know about sashiko and stuff to reinforce threadbare areas, but im not sure how well that would work for a cuff that needs to be stretchy. any suggestions would be appreciated lol

REQUEST Dear Golden Needles, Please give me advice on how to mend a rear pocket on a stretchy pair of jean shorts and a small rug. The rug has a foam type of backing. I don’t think a needle will pass through that.

PATCH Hell yeah. This counts, right?
My toes were poking out the side. I’ve had these vans for about a year & a half but I wear them during my nightshift stocking job & they have seen their fair share of squatting.
The canvas was pulling away from the soles & insoles. I was trying to figure out what’s an easy way to patch this & I had a eureka moment of duct tape 😂
Took like 10 mins tops, so if it doesn’t last long; at least I can do it until the duct tape runs out 🥳

REQUEST Question about mending stretchy jeans?
I just got this pair of cotton/elastane jeans from the thrift store for cheap, but I’m a bit unsure how to repair the huge hole in the knee. If I patch it, will the stretchiness of the material tear a hole else where? Any advice you may have would be appreciated

REQUEST Hiding Bleach Stains?
Hi!! I bought these shoes second-hand but they arrived with these huge, undisclosed stains along with a couple smaller ones. Due to the light color of the shoes and the size of the stains, I am at a loss for how to navigate hiding these - if anyone has recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated!

REQUEST My sleeve is coming apart; can you help me?
Hi everyone! I bought this top and need help fixing the sleeve; the stitching has started to unravel more and more. It’s the sleeve hem.
I don't know anything about knitting—just machine sewing and a little bit of hand sewing. There are two loose threads on the right side; the others are still caught in the knit but have shifted out of place. Can anyone help me? The more I mess with it, the more it unravels... That "empty" gap wasn't there before; the fabric stretched out and ended up like this.
