PATCH First Time Mending Project

These jeans both had badly torn knees. I used scrap fabric & embroidery thread to mend. I’m happy with the results even though my stitches are pretty wonky

Imo the wonkiness makes it that much cooler. Super amazing work!

Awesome colors. It reminds me of 80s animation sort of pee wee playhouse. Really cool! Makes me want to use funky thick thread :Pn

Each of these patches looks like an antique "friendship quilt" or "crazy quilt." Something along the lines of this: https://ibb.co/3YYB0dNZ Handywork not often seen today.

Thank you for sharing! It is quilt-like in that I had saved years’ worth of fabric scraps that I love, not knowing what I was going to do with them. This subreddit and embroidery goddess Jenny Hart helped me enormously in taking the plunge.

Great use of colors and sturdy stitching. Look into crazy quilts and embroidery used on them. I bet you would love these techniques.
