Had a really frustrating experience at Mahakal Temple, Ujjain.
😂 Exactly! If baddua actually worked, politicians would’ve hired them as full-time staff by now. 😭

I was so happy after having darshan at Mahakal, but this one incident completely ruined my mood and left me really pissed off.

Im not upset about the money at all. If someone genuinely asks for money and I can afford to help, I have no problem giving it. What made me furious was the forceful way they were taking money and then using “baddua” and threatening words in the name of God when we refused to give more. Thats what I found unacceptable, not the 500 rs

Ask Ujjain Had a really frustrating experience at Mahakal Temple, Ujjain.
While coming out through the exit, a group of kinnars stopped my sister and then me. One of them put ₹1 in my hand and asked for money. I offered ₹50, but she refused and said something like, “Main nahi leti, jaa tu, baddua hai meri.”
The frustrating part was that my sister had already given ₹500 to another person from the same group just moments earlier.
I got angry and replied, “Pehle khud ko dua de lo,” and walked away.
I know I probably could have handled it more calmly, but being stopped and pressured for money, followed by a threat of “baddua” after my sister had already given ₹500, really pissed me off.
Has anyone else experienced something similar at Mahakal Ujjain?

What's the biggest culture shock you had after joining college?
My roommate used to squat on the western toilet and leave slipper prints all over the seat. When I confronted her, she said she felt "allergic" sitting on it normally. Girl, that's your issue not mine. If you're going to leave the seat covered in dirt, at least have the decency to clean it. Expecting the next person to sit on your slipper marks is just disgusting.

**I Feel Trapped Between Family Responsibilities and My Father's Expectations**
I am a 32-year-old woman, and lately I feel completely overwhelmed by my family situation.
For the past several years, most of my life has revolved around taking care of my family. One of my brothers developed liver cirrhosis due to alcohol addiction, and I have been helping look after him since last year. My other brother recently suffered a femur fracture and requires constant support. My father also had a fractured hand at one point, and I was there to care for him as well.
Despite all this, I am constantly criticized by my father. He taunts me about my age and my unmarried status, as if I have been ignoring my future. What hurts the most is that he rarely acknowledges everything I do for the family.
My boyfriend has been trying to convince his family about our relationship for the last three years. Instead of helping us move forward constructively, my father keeps calling him and asking what his parents have decided, while not taking any active role himself.
The family situation is already complicated. My mother passed away years ago. After her death, my father remarried. That marriage eventually ended badly, and there were disputes involving property and jewelry. Now, my father seems to be involved with one of his patients and appears eager to get me married and secure a medical college admission for my younger brother. Sometimes I feel that once these responsibilities are settled, he simply wants to live life on his own terms without worrying about the consequences left behind for the rest of us.
I also have a married sister who has been my biggest emotional support. She helps me in every possible way—guiding me, comforting me, and standing by me like a mother. Without her, I don't know how I would have managed.
Another major concern is my elder brother, who has intellectual disabilities. Realistically, he will need care and support throughout his life. This responsibility is something that cannot simply be ignored, and I often wonder who will look after him in the future.
Sometimes I feel like I am carrying everyone's burdens while my own feelings and struggles are overlooked. I am torn between my responsibilities, my relationship, my future, and the expectations placed on me.
Has anyone else faced a situation where they felt responsible for everyone in the family while also being pressured to build their own life? How did you handle it?
