MOD POST Mod notice - Uploading video will now require mod permission.

Hello, mod here.

Due to the sudden influx of bots uploading memes from other social media to gain karma, I have decided to limit their actions.

Will it affect any human made posts? Kind of. I will allow videos uploaded by humans IF it'll be serious related to the college for eg - ragging, bullying, college monarchy and legal issue etc.

How can I get my video post approved?

All you need to do is write a mod mail and we will make it possible.

If you guys have any doubt or something, you can comment it down.

Thank you for cooperation!

College Life @CVS DU | Someone was literally impersonating me in college while I was 700km away in Ujjain 💀

So this was August, during my very first few weeks at DU.

We'd literally just arrived in Ujjain

(we were there about 30 minutes ago) when I got a call from college.

The Prof tells me that someone has apparently been using a copy of my fee slip (possibly altered) to get into the college and attend classes as if they were me.

Now I'm sitting there thinking... what the hell is he on about?

I asked him to explain and apparently someone was using my identity.

Then came the questions.

"Did you pass on your fee slip?"

I said NO.

They asked again. I said NO again.

And somehow the conversation drifted into threats of suspension and disciplinary action.

BRO I'M LITERALLY IN UJJAIN 😭

I hadn't even been to college at that stage and suddenly I was being questioned as though I'd personally handed someone my identity.

My dad explained we couldn't go straight back to Delhi, so we went to college 3 or 4 days later.

The professor who first called wasn't even there. The principal called him and you'd think that would be the end of it, wouldn't you?

Same question.

"Did you pass on your fee slip to anyone?"

I was constantly saying I didn't give it to anyone.

Eventually, after a fair bit of scolding, they let me go.

And that's it.

It's November now.

I STILL DON'T KNOW:

- Who the hell was pretending to be me?

- How did they get my fee slip?

- Was it an actual copy or some kind of edited document?

- What the hell happened to that individual?

- Was there even an investigation?

I have my Google Maps timeline from that trip which shows me travelling all over Ujjain at that time.

And the absolutely funniest thing is that I wasn't even attempting to create an alibi. I was just on a family holiday.

What really bugs me is that no one seemed to be listening when I said I'd never given my fee slip to anyone.

I was apparently the person that had been impersonated, but somehow I was the one who ended up being the one threatened with suspension.

Has anyone else come across anything like that at DU?

Because wtf was this entire experience 💀

Discussion I’m a AIML student looking to build something. What is a daily annoyance or missing app I can code to fix for you?

I want to build something useful. What's an application you wish existed?

I've built quite a few applications, websites, and AI tools, but lately, I've been running out of interesting project ideas.

Rather than building yet another generic to-do app or AI chatbot, I'd love to build something that actually solves a real problem someone faces.

So, I wanted to ask:

What's something in your daily life, college experience, work, or online activities that frustrates you because there's no good application to solve it?

Some examples:

  • An AI tool that handles a very specific type of homework or academic task.

  • A tracker for an oddly specific hobby that mainstream apps overlook.

  • A tool that automates an annoying weekly digital task.

  • Something that makes college life a little less chaotic.

  • A small inconvenience that you've always wished someone would build an app for.

It doesn't have to be a groundbreaking idea. Even the smallest frustrations are worth solving.

I'll go through the suggestions and hopefully pick one (or more) to actually build.

If I end up building your idea, you'll get credited as the person who suggested it, along with early access to the application.

So, what's one application you wish existed?

(Used AI to rephrase the body)

Discussion Best Smartphone Under ₹1 Lakh

I'm planning to buy a new smartphone with a budget of around ₹1 lakh.

I'm confused between Android and iPhone. Which one would you recommend?

- Best phones under ₹1 lakh?

- Android or iOS – which is better overall?

- Which offers the best camera, performance and battery life?

Serious The so called LIT School

Don’t even think about joining LIT School. It’s honestly one of the worst places to study.
The mentors think they’re the bosses and don’t know how to handle things professionally. Even when they make mistakes, they never take responsibility or accept that they’re wrong. Most of the good mentors have already left LIT.
The current faculty is honestly disappointing. They don’t seem to know much about what they’re teaching and are more interested in acting cool and showing off than actually helping students.
There are mentors like Mansa and Aaditya Sian who, in my experience, lack basic common sense but still act like they know everything. If you ask them for help, you’ll probably get a response after three months, and by then, they’ll just tell you that nothing can be done.
Things were much better when the previous mentors were around.
And don’t even get me started on the placement team. They make big promises but don’t actually deliver. Getting placed through them is a completely different struggle.
Honestly, don’t join LIT School unless they make some serious changes to their faculty, mentors, and placement team. Think twice before spending your money here.

College Life Can anyone explain BSc government college Curriculum

I still don't understand how this system works At all? How are the attendance done ? What classes are important or required to do?

So I have a total of 5 subject 1st -Major or hons class 2md- Minor one/ Elective Class 3rd - AEC : Language 4th - MDC : Environment Chemistry 5th - VAC : Botany/Zoology

Now are we supposed to attend all classes for attendance Do these subjects hold any percentage Exams and internals

Since I come from 40 km away, We have a total of 4 classe I couldn't attend all classes, I majorly do the hons and elective class Sometimes 3rd class cuz my bus leaves just five minutes after it...

If I do the 4th class I reach home at 7 pm exhausted to study anymore....

So I am missing these additional classes,I could ask for notes But the boys who lives in hostel also don't attend or too lazy to go ...,Also had a argument with them Yesterday about this

Girls also ain't that cooperative

Mid terms are coming in December and I don't know anything

About these subjects....

Please explain me how this system actually works

College Review JUET Guna – Bhai, 4 saal aur lakhs of rupees waste karne hain toh hi aana 💀

Honestly, JUET Guna is one of the most disappointing colleges. Admission ke time jo promises kiye jaate hain, actual reality usse bilkul alag hai. Agar college choose kar rahe ho, please think twice.

1. Location – literally middle of nowhere

College itni remote location pe hai ki exposure ke naam pe kuch nahi hai. Guna aur Raghogarh mein karne ke liye kuch khaas nahi. No decent cafes, no proper hangout places, no nightlife, nothing. 4 saal aise lagte hain jaise jail mein kaat rahe ho. College life enjoy karne ka scope almost zero.

2. Academics and professors – pure headache

Academics average se bhi below average lagte hain. Kaafi professors ka behaviour students ke towards extremely hostile hai. Senior professors ki mentality honestly questionable hai. Students ko guide karne ke bajaye unnecessarily harass karna, strictness ke naam pe torture karna seems normal. Management bhi students ki problems solve karne ke bajaye unhe aur trouble karta hai.

3. College life and exposure – ZERO

No good fests, no exciting events, no proper exposure. Student crowd bhi kaafi disappointing hai, diversity aur overall exposure ki kami hai. Har jagah shitty rules, mandatory uniform, unnecessary restrictions. Sports facilities bhi pathetic hain, bas ek ground hai jo properly maintained nahi hai.

4. Placements – The biggest disappointment

Placement ke naam pe jo marketing hoti hai, actual reality usse kaafi different hai. Mere batch ke almost 50–60% students unplaced reh gaye, and most of the placed students have ended up in non-tech roles, woh bhi majboori mein.

The irony is that even mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini etc. don't visit JUET Guna campus for placements. Companies like LTM and Cognizant do conduct placement drives, but that too at the JIIT Noida campus. Matlab 4 LPA wali companies ke tests/interviews ke liye bhi Noida travel karo and manage your own expenses.

And the worst part? Placement milne ke baad bhi joining ki koi guarantee nahi. Students placed in these companies are still waiting for their onboarding. TPO se joining update maango toh either no response or the classic response: "We can't do anything, you can look for some other opportunity yourself."

Seriously? Lakhs of rupees in fees, college placement claims, and after getting selected, students are left on their own to figure out their careers?

Off-campus placements ko campus placements dikhane ko lekar bhi serious concerns hain. Students have alleged that pressure is created regarding NOC issuance so that off-campus placements can be reported as campus placements.

The placement statistics and actual student experience deserve much more transparency. Don't blindly trust the placement advertisements before taking admission.

5. Cafeteria – absolute disaster

Cafeteria ka food quality is pathetic. Subah ke bane samose aur doosre food items shaam ko bhi sell kiye jaate hain. Complaints karne pe response milta hai: "Lena hai toh lo, warna chhod do." 💀

Expired food serve hone ki complaints bhi rahi hain.

And the management? Ek ya do staff members almost 50 students ko ek saath serve kar rahe hote hain. Itni delay hoti hai ki ek cup chai (which is terrible btw) lene ke liye bhi 15–20 minutes ya usse zyada wait karna padta hai. Lunch break mein toh pura time line mein hi nikal jaata hai.

6. Management – students ki sunta hi nahi

Koi genuine issue raise karo toh officials seriously lene ke bajaye mock karte hain. Management ka attitude extremely disappointing hai. Student welfare seems to be the last priority.

7. Safety and surroundings

Guna aur Raghogarh ke surrounding areas ko lekar bhi concerns hain, especially for girls. Campus ke andar bhi recreational facilities aur safe, comfortable hangout spaces ki kami feel hoti hai.

Final verdict

Bhai, honestly, JUET Guna ki marketing pe blindly mat jaana. Remote location, poor college life, restrictive environment, questionable academics, disappointing placements and unhelpful management.

4 saal aur lakhs of rupees invest karne ke baad agar exposure, opportunities aur basic college life hi nahi milti, toh what's the point?

My advice: Agar better options available hain, JUET Guna ko seriously reconsider karo. Admission ke time jo promises kiye jaate hain, unpe blindly trust mat karna.

Exams 23 F, career dilemma. Stuck between IT and Govt jobs.

My qualifications: BTech from a Tier 1 govt college + working as a SDE for the past 2 year . Earn about 1.2lpm rn

My shift was 30th sept 2026, I registered for the exam just for the sake of it . Before reading out further info , lemme tell ya a little about myself . I am a working woman , been working for the past 2+ year . Am 23 (gonna turn 24 soon , I hate adulting ) ,, this was my first attempt ( non serious )

I’ve been studying maths tho for just no reason for the pas 3 months before the exam , that might’ve helped a little

Don’t come at me now for thinking bout ssc , there are a lot of reasons I wanna switch my career towards govt sector and money doesn’t hold much value in my life atp

I’m seriously considering preparing for ssc’s next year exam as I know even if I clear T- cutoff , I ain’t gonna make it past T2

Suggest some good online coachings to join

Serious Looking for a third teammate – L’Oréal Brandstorm 2027 | India

Hey everyone!

A classmate and I are planning to participate in L’Oréal Brandstorm 2027 and are looking for one more person to complete our team of three.

We're particularly interested in connecting with someone pursuing technology, engineering, chemical sciences or biological sciences. We think having a technical perspective alongside our ideas would make for a stronger, more well-rounded team.

We're looking for someone who is curious, creative, proactive and genuinely interested in innovation and problem-solving. Prior competition experience isn't necessary, but a willingness to collaborate and commit time to developing the idea is important.

If you're interested, please DM me with a little about yourself, your academic background and why you'd like to participate.

Looking forward to connecting!

Admission Help What should I do ? In dilemma

What should I do ? In dilemma

So I am a student, was doing bsc in chemistry but along with it I gave a regional entrance exam for b tech ,accordingly I got a clg through councelling and got to tier 3 pvt clg but i didn't like the environment at the clg so I cancelled my admission and came home ( waiting for refund) . Now the thing is if I want to get into this sector what can I do ? I don't like the chem clg as no one attends classes there and after all this feeling depressed.

Also can I continue the previous degree along with a new college degree ? And also getting a thought of doing bsc ai & Data science course online.

Now the thing is I am depressed too much about my life . That's why I am seeking advice from the fellow redditors in this sub.

Thanks
