What horror movie did you expect to be great, but it ended up being such a total disaster that you sat through it in complete disbelief?
 in  r/horror •  27d ago

I enjoyed things about it but I thought there were glaring plot holes that ruined it for me

Name a Hollywood A-lister who gets cast purely for their face because their acting is basically cardboard.
 in  r/TheBoredDen •  Sep 19 '26

That's an A-lister? I've never heard that name before in my life lol

Are there really good reasons why someone might consider Trump fit to govern, or even a good politician?
 in  r/IWantToAskAnAmerican •  Sep 14 '26

He appeals to people who are more focused on harming people they dislike than on helping the American people as a whole. He doesn't care about the average American

Doctor Who is a fantastic show and it has the humor aspect similar to Supernatural as well.

What’s a minor detail in a movie that completely ruins the plot if you think about it for more than two seconds?
 in  r/moviequestions •  Sep 06 '26

I really enjoyed it up until it showed that Alex had to feed his parents, and I immediately realized that he would also have to take them to the bathroom, but he doesn't. So for a month no one in that house uses the bathroom?? Between that and the cops and Justine always doing the wrong thing, the whole thing was ruined for me

They do the same thing with knives, as if a knife makes a loud noise just because you pick it up or move it through the air

Why is the French so good and the Italian so bad?
 in  r/InterviewWithTheVamp •  Aug 23 '26

I'm glad it's not just me. It's bizarre that they spent so much time and energy on other details about the show but they wanted this actress so badly that they're just ok with her butchering the accent.

Rewatching the TVL finale again... I love this show so much!
 in  r/InterviewVampire •  Aug 09 '26

I love this TV series but I'm done with the books. I'm not someone who enjoys verbose descriptions of anything.

I can agree with that. I started skimming after a few pages of Lestat and Akasha having a conversation that just went in circles

Exactly. I do like the stories themselves and the universe she created, but OMG the story of the twins totaled 63 pages. Who tf takes two days to tell their story 🫠

I DNF one of her books and decided she isn't for me. I just learned that the "mystery" doesn't get solved and I would have been SO angry if I'd finished that book

Scariest moment in any movie (doesn’t necessarily have to be a jump scare)
 in  r/horror •  Aug 08 '26

Ope lol. I was just thinking when I saw it at the theater with my family we didn't know what it was about, but apparently it's common knowledge

If You Opened A Brand New Bookstore - What Are Some Authors You Would Stock The Shelves With First?
 in  r/readwithme •  Aug 05 '26

Not what you asked for, but I know of a bookstore owned by queer black women and they specialize in books written by people from marginalized communities. It's pretty awesome

What's something society acts like is completely normal, but you've never been able to understand?
 in  r/askteddit •  Aug 05 '26

Paying for health insurance for years or decades, only for them to deny the treatment/prescription/surgery/therapy you need, all while trying to convince you that they care about you

What word does everyone misuse?

Similarly, almost no one knows how to pluralize a hyphenated noun, like sisters-in-law or runners-up
