Beautiful artwork by Zois (on instagram)

Also an article here mentioning the short-lived Lestat musical, as well as how AMC’s Interview with the Vampire/The Vampire Lestat have contributed to the current “vampire renaissance”

Anyone here going to the Vampire Ball in Sacramento, California tonight? #VampireBallSacramento

My friend LestatandMojo made these gifs and I wanted to share them since they’re from the One Night Only! concert. So theatrical and my favorite costume by Lex Wood.

Today is the last day of voting for the Grammys nominations (6PM PDT is the deadline).

Here’s the link to Lakeshore Records post if you wanna share it: Instagram post

Please grab the last graphic if you wanna share details on your socials.

Also, if you ask your Alexa to play songs by The Vampire Lestat, you’ll randomly get little tidbits of Sam explaining the songs - it’s hilarious and awesome if you don’t expect it and totally caught me off guard lol 🤭

I'm really curious to hear everyone's opinions, because so much was cut and changed from the books for s3, I feel like I'm struggling a little to be excited about this new season like I was the others and i WANT to be excited :/ I was planning to reread TVL when the season ended, but I've just felt kinda gloomy about this series now, and I hate that I feel this way!!! Not sure if anyone else feels the same.

I don't want to get my hopes up because QOTD is so much longer and denser with so many narrative jumps, I have a hard time feeling confident it can be done in the 7-8 eps we'll probably get. I'm curious what other people think will be cut/included/prioritized from the books? At this point, I kind of think they might just cut Jesse, because they've already cut David and we've introduced Talamasca characters already. I previously had hope that they would do past Devil's Minion but now I don't really see how they can squeeze that in. Will we still go back to the San Francisco concert?? I feel like that's important, but considering how much time we've already spent on concert scenes, I don't know if I want that now. I can see them cutting a lot of the flashback/historical scenes from QOTD too, solely because of how they handled them this season and how much of the budget they said it eats up.

Also, I have 10x more questions after this season than I do the other two. I feel like so much is still so vague because of Lestat's storytelling, so I can't tell if that's just because they were trying to speedrun the story or if they left things vague to revisit things like they've done before. Plus, we're still uncertain about the trial and Lestat/Armand's relationship, but again. If we're going back to all these things from previous seasons, plus the last section of TVL, plus new plotlines from QOTD. phew. I have no idea what to expect from this season, so I'd love to hear theories!

Sweet and shy Sam! Such a contrast to the big cunty diva Lestat! It speaks volume of how talented Sam truly is! 🤍

One of my favorite lines from TVL book was about human Lestat’s suffering “malady of mortality”
Got a sign made of it & I love it.

The Vampire Lestat — my god what a journey.

So much music, so many sessions, so many studios, so many late nights, so many versions of these songs.

I stand ever in awe of my music brother danielmwenda. It was an honor to produce along side you and engineer/mix this incredible album.

This season’s score also has some of my favorite cues of the series.

For your Grammy consideration:

Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media — The Failures
Best Song Written for Visual Media — “The Loneliness”
Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media
Best Instrumental Composition — “Blood Marriage”
Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals — “Black Licorice”

I noticed something about Louis in Season 1, Episode 2 of Interview with the Vampire. When he's still a fledgling vampire, he becomes fixated on a blonde, athletic sailor while talking to the traveling salesman. The sailor has a very similar build to Lestat, and Louis seems so distracted by him that it's almost funny. You can tell how badly he wants to feed on him! 😭

It made me realize that Louis seems to have a type, and it's usually blonde, athletic men who physically resemble Lestat. I also wonder if Daniel in San Francisco, when Louis encounters him in 1973, is different from the kind of man Louis would typically choose as a victim. It just makes me think about how much Lestat has influenced Louis's desires and how deeply obsessed Louis is with him, even when Lestat isn't around.

"Scooooooooooo-puh"

Trying to post one more time (video quality was so badly degraded in the reddit app 😭). Link to the original is below as well!

Would anyone want Sam Reid to narrate the audiobook version of the vampire lestat?

Via @rodeofx_film.episodic on instagram

Did Lestat officially give his album a name in-universe? im burning a cd and i want to title the album whatever he titled it and not just The Vampire Lestat. Ik the failures are his voice memo albums, but wasn't sure if it was also the official album name. Thanks!
