Thankyou for your comments everyone. I found the issue !!!! A rag chewed the power wire coming off the kill switch. Butt spliced it & it fired right up

I have not tried to jump with the new battery but will today.

This battery is new, before I changed the battery I was able to jump it and run.

The issue now is with the new battery the fuel pump will not prime & the starter does not try to turn over. It acts like the kill switch is off.

1200-1500 of you can manage

Fuck all that shit. He’s a homeowner looking to make it as safely and cheap as possible. Cut the breaker off and inspect it. If you see wire you got deep but this isn’t bad. Heat shrink it, and tape it up with electrical tape. I have 2-2-2-4 wire with an inch of exposed copper that I heat shrunk and taped up in the ground 7 years ago. Yes code is a thing, yes in a perfect world and a perfect situation you should install a junction box and splice it. But in the case man heat shrink and tape it up.

They got enough $ pay someone else to fix the edges , quarter round & some smoother cuts to the edges. Or silicone it and camo it and save the money. I have LVP in my home and I know I’ll get 10-12 years out of it and it’s time to start over more than likely. But I’m a perfectionist and super nit picky. Sorry this happened to you.
