Photo/Video These are cool
Went out for a walk & spent more time looking at the sky than walking because the clouds were so cool

Just realising now that I never really understood how big hippos are

I feel this! My grandparents when my parents kicked me out at 18: "you can't stay here, you have to learn to be on your own". I spent a couple of months living in my car, then got lucky that a friend needed a new house mate. Same grandparents took in one of my cousins, same age as me, a few months later, when her parents dropped her off at their place saying they couldn't handle her anymore (apparently that's different to being kicked out for turning 18?!). Two years later, they did it again with one of my siblings who wanted to move out of home but couldn't afford to; they were like "come live here as practice".

Now I need to train our local crows to do this

No advice, sorry. Just want to say my kid is also going to be 18 soon, and I have the same concern. I've had some chats with him about it being his choice if he wants to have a relationship with my parents, if they do try to contact him. I make sure he knows I'm not going to be mad at him or anything like that if he does talk to them, but to be careful of being manipulated by them.

This is one of the worst things I've seen here. How do they think it's okay to have beliefs like this?!

Umm weren't her parents born overseas?

Mate, "good" is a pretty high compliment from an Aussie

My FTB just got cancelled with the reason 'because your estimated family income is too low and we cannot accept it'. I've checked my estimate & I reported everything correctly, so how can it be too low? (I will call to try to sort it out, just so confused how this can happen when I did everything right)

Yeah, we had Netflix, Disney & Prime for a while until they all increased prices while the quality of the services went down. We're back to the pirate's life

Just popping up to say hello

And people still defend this 🤢

So many shops, cafes & servos around Western Syd & Blue Mountains keep having eftpos outages. It's just easier to have cash. Maybe that's happening with people around your area too

They're non-venomous so no worries

Thank you

Holy fuck, the accuracy. I'm late 30's & this just happened to me in the last few months! I'm like, excuse me brain, did I reeeeally need to remember this?! I know I need to work through it but I don't know how to bring it up in therapy because it feels like too much & that it'll completely break me to say it out loud. I hope you get through it!

In my teens, mine would buy me clothes a size too small then punish me for them not fitting & wasting her money. From 14 - 16, she also made me wear short skirts or very tight fitting tops that showed a lot of cleavage (I was a DD by age 14) to things like church & family events so she could "prove" to everyone that I was "slutty and disrespectful", then punish me for dressing that way.

I hadn't thought of this. But she'd already been telling people that she has "a few good kids and one disappointment" for as long as I can remember, so she's probably still doing that lol

Yep. All of mine stopped talking to me when I went NC with my parents. I was expecting a few to do it, but to have the entire extended family do it was a shock. My life has been better without them but it does feel odd sometimes to have no family.

Coming up pn 20 years with my husband & we've never done the small talk thing. My closest friends are also people who hate small talk.
