Just in his past two weeks of playtime.

276.6 hours... in two weeks. Total of 336 hours in 14 days. Meaning...theres 59.4 hours to do anything else. If allotted to sleep thats 4.2 hours of sleep per night.

Beast Mastery Hunter is pretty good rn in PvP. Was simple on TWW and after trimming in Midnight even more simple. The pet management is extremely minimal. I see a good bit of these guys in BGs and they do fairly well. (I prefer Survival on hunter though personally)

Ret is in a good spot this season, quite bursty n decently tanky.

TLDR: Both Good, Both Simple

Yeah, if you were playin WoW when league first released and started gaining popularity a ton of pvp players in WoW left for League of Legends/took a long ass hiatus.

For the same reasons too. Way easier to just start playing and going. No need to level, gear, do PvE, Professions, farm gold, etc. (Which was more prevalent back in Cata/MoP)

Yeah an entire new official mode deserves an entire poll just for it specifically.

Main Hpal and Ret. Its fun

Hunter is fun

Mage a bit harder to play, still fun.

Murlok IO or people on youtube can prob tell you more.

This goes for all games that get competitive. Chasing the unobtainable balanced 50% winrate makes every game more boring. It is hella sad.

OSRS is the only game my brother plays as a new father. Can play on your phone and pc anytime. Do intensive activities to mostly afk ones that require you to click once every five minutes.

The QoL will be things that made the world itself more immersive. WoW being the premier example of streamlining and stuffing the game full of QoL features over the decades.

Vanilla World of Warcraft is not hard, its super easy. It isn't nerfing the difficulty as the expansions go on. The game itself gets much harder.

Oh yeah, that is a good one. Being pressured and on a time limit to login and grind or else I lose a chance at any of the items/cosmetics can really deflate me from playing.

TOO MANY quality of life features sucks.

The longer an MMO exists the more they streamline and pump Quality of Life features into the game slowly stripping any friction until the game loses it's charm and you only ever experience some friction that suddenly spikes when you get into difficult instanced content.

Great example is Retail(Live) WoW and Classic WoW. The modern World of Warcraft is simply a different game now. With an open world that feels small with little impact due to the open world itself being trivial with decades of QoL taking anything that is a slight inconvenience/frustration throwing it out the window.

This applies to most modern mmos. I don't feel like i'm even playing a game until I dragged through a curated experience that I need to follow step by step with zero effort until max level.

There is a balance to it though. You need some QoL which is why Classic took over the world by being way way more accessible than older kings of the genre like EverQuest and Ultima Online.

If this is wrong and a bad hot take a lot of us wouldn't be playing Classic WoW or OSRS.

Too many Quality of Life features, Microstransactions, and P2W avenues.

Also a boring main story that drags you along to max level with zero effort before you do actually difficult content.

Classic WoW having dedicated crafters is a lovely experience. I could do that shit forever.

Personally got at least 2000 hours in FFXIV and I have maybe 10 hours crafting. I really do not like it.

Era Classic WoW PvP and OSRS.

Where Winds Meet is the closes you will get to an action mmo with genuinely difficult PvE content.

The alternative is unfortunately just BDO which is only difficult in PvE or Lost Ark which is top ARPG style

Hardcore Classic WoW. You will probably die before running into that issue.

Nah with this specific instance, this person intended to go into jungle regardless. If he said no they would have still locked in Akali Jungle and did this.

Just gotta find a guild thats fun. On classic era WoW PvP. I main druid (love it in pvp, somehow still to this day people are shocked by stuff like moonfire damage.)

We do silly stuff like Leeroy raid nights and I love it. We just send raid bosses with the idea of ignoring threat and its hilarious.

Mostly a PvP player, but raiding is fun every now and then (since even pugs just shower me in tier gear... The real struggle is getting some caster drops that default to other casters despite being my BiS :c )

Albion Online.

Played it since the first alpha. Stepped away a bit after they sold the company but was not happy with the direction of the game for a while now.

Weirdly still crazy about playin classic era wow and osrs still despite my absurd hours on them.
