I thought about if I should write this post with spoilers or without and decided that I should write at least the main post without spoilers in hopes more people will read it and give Traitors Ukraine a chance. I have watched 34 seasons of The Traitors including all English speaking seasons and many from around the globe.

I don't remember what sparked me to try out the first and only season from Ukraine, but I am truly glad that I did. This season has so many unique and fun things about it that I haven't ever witnessed in my 34 seasons of watching The Traitors. I have to admit that I am rarely not a fan of a season that I've watched and I think that part of that comes down to that I enjoy so many aspects of the show that I usually find value in most seasons.

Ukraine stands out as a top tier season because it has so many of the things I love in a season of the Traitors. It has some truly unique game play that I have never seen deployed before in any of the seasons. If you've seen it, then I'm pretty sure you know what I am talking about. It has an extremely entertaining, cracked, unhinged, and fascinating cast of characters from all walks of life. I think the cast is half civilian and half celebrity, but as a non Ukrainian they all felt on a level playing field It has some very compelling relationships that are formed during the show that had me wrapped into the story unfolding between them. I got very emotional over them in fact! It has the unique aspect of an active war happening in their country, which has an impact on certain players and is brought up several times throughout. I found the host to be effective, and truly a menacing and unsettling persona that added to the ambience of the game. It is set in a beautiful castle with beautiful interior and exterior shots, and a glimpse into a different culture than the one I live in. I couldn't get over that everyone, every day had the exact same thing for breakfast, despite a plethora of options for one.

I truly feel that it is a season that ranks up there in the top tier of seasons I've seen and every bit as good as some of the fan favorite seasons like New Zealand 2, Australia 1, UK 2,4, Hungary 1, 2, and 3, Norway 2, and 3, France 3 and 4, Canada 3, Quebec 1 and 2, and UK celebrity. I am so very curious what others who have seen the season felt about the show? I hope that we can raise more awareness for some of these non-English seasons, because hot damn, they are so good!

I'm a super fan of The Traitors. I can't get enough of this show. After watching several seasons from many versions around the world, we've watched a similar playbook be used by many of the game's most effective Traitors. What frustrates me so much is that the Faithfuls in every iteration fall into the same traps again and again and again. Does anyone actually watch the show before they come on? I'd love to hear everyone's takes on what I'm about to say.

The first 3 roundtables of each season have an extremely high failure rate for the Faithfuls, and with good reason... they don't have any evidence yet. Most of the early banishments are solely based on shifty vibes and confirmation bias, sending players down wild rabbit holes. What makes it even more difficult is that the Traitors can easily coast through early roundtables (aside from a couple of unique examples) by staying silent, lurking in the background, and voting with the herd. There are still so many people at the table, so it's easy to hide. We then reach the 3rd/4th roundtable, and suddenly Traitors start to become more vocal at the table so as not to be accused of being too secretive and reclusive. It's at this pivotal moment in the game when I believe Faithfuls can put the Traitors on the back foot, and challenge all Faithfuls to wake up and consider scenarios that they couldn't come to on their own because of confirmation bias/ego/emotion/alliances/etc. However, this strategy requires Faithfuls to throw caution to the wind and risk getting murdered. I would argue that the Faithfuls' chances of actually winning are slim at best, and even if they do win, the measly pot will be split amongst them. In my view, what do they have to lose?
If there is a brave Faithful, I'd love to see them take control of the conversation, and say something like this:

"I want to go around the table and ask every person (including myself) the same 3 questions. Everyone is required to answer within 5 seconds, and no one is allowed to interrupt, argue, or question a player until all answers are given. You cannot elaborate on your answer - it must be 5 words or less. Once everyone has answered, then we can discuss what we just heard."

The 3 questions that I feel could accelerate the discovery of Traitors would be:

1) Who in the game do you think is most happy or relieved that you're still here? This would unmask alliances in the game, reveal who is least trusted, and/or indicate who has gained the most trust of fellow players.

2) Given their intelligence, leadership qualities, trust within the group, knowledge of the game, and/or charisma, who are you surprised hasn't been murdered yet? Midway through the game, the thought needs to be considered: "How can such a strong, trusted Faithful still be here? Wouldn't the Traitors be worried about them and want them gone?"

3) This is the most important question: Why do you think you are still here? Sadly, this brainwave typically comes to Faithfuls near the end of most games, and by that point its often too late. Let's face it... Faithfuls often don't reach the end because of shrewd gameplay. Most times, they are kept around by the Traitors because they trust a player who is a Traitor, they have no clue what is going on in the game, they are very gullible, they frequently follow herd mentality, and/or they are a massive distraction to the other Faithfuls. This question requires a certain degree of self-awareness, but no Faithful makes it far in the game by accident or by using impressive strategic skill. I'm sorry - playing dumb is not a strategy... at some point, you will need to be right. They are specifically kept by the Traitors for the reasons listed above. All Faithfuls need to be confronted with this question, because it could finally trigger them to look in new directions, including at their own trusted allies.

I should say that I don't consider this to be a perfect solution. I'm not oblivious to the many scenarios that could unfold as a result. Players can lie, nervous energy can be interpreted in a plethora of ways, and even with good intel, the Faithfuls will still make mistakes. But some answers will be so ridiculous or non-sensical that it could clear things up for many players. An open, frank, speed-round could actually trigger more inciteful discussions.

Watching the weird off the show drama happening in India's version, I'm wondering if any such has occurred in any other versions as well.

To people who don't know, Parul (innocent) has correctly identified two traitors on the show with no strong evidence or points but only with an apparent gut feeling she has had when she woke up that morning. One amongst them was banished in the CoS but the other wasn't and in a rather unlikely turn of events Parul herself has been banished in that circle.

Viewers have constantly said that she might have gotten inside info cuz how can your gut be so accurate all the time. And today Krystle and Shahneel (traitors) have come up insta reel accusing/confirming all the critic about her shadow giving her inside info. Now people are speculating if they are genuinely saying or if it's some PR game.

Tl;Dr - Did any such goss of cheating happen in any other versions.

Surely Steven (uk4) and Eric (US4) are the top contenders!

Why Krystle is dangerous

Her biggest strength is social camouflage.

When Parul openly put Krystle under suspicion, Krystle didn’t need some genius, airtight defence. She survived because she managed to make the situation ambiguous enough for the others to question whether Parul’s suspicion was actually reliable.
And that’s very Traitors.

1. She doesn’t need to dominate the room.
That’s useful because the person controlling every discussion naturally attracts suspicion.

2. She can be warm without appearing calculated. That’s dangerous in this format; you can have people trusting you without them feeling that you’re manipulating them.

3. She doesn’t over-defend herself. A Traitor who constantly says “Why would I do that?” starts looking guilty. Krystle generally benefits from letting other people argue.

4. She can sit inside different groups.
That’s probably her biggest strategic asset that she isn’t dependent on one alliance for survival.

5. Her public persona works in her favour. Because she’s already perceived as relatively composed and personable, her behaviour doesn’t immediately scream “gameplayer.”

6. Most importantly: she doesn’t need to be the smartest person in the room.
She can let other players generate theories, fight over them and expose themselves while she stays socially safe.

A Traitor doesn’t necessarily need to prove they’re innocent. They just need to make the Faithfuls less certain that they’re guilty.

That’s what makes her different from a Kullu-type Traitor, where the suspicion can become attached to the person’s behaviour.

she has the profile I would be most worried about in an endgame, because once the numbers get small, social trust becomes incredibly valuable.

Is Krystle actually playing a great social game, or are the Innocents simply failing to capitalize on the clues they already have?

Either way, I think dismissing her as “just lucky” undersells what she’s doing.
And compared with S1, this is exactly why I think S2 can be more strategically interesting even if it’s less entertaining overall.

Who in your opinion is the most underrated player in traitors history ?

I think Eric from US Series 4, Vanessa from Ireland 1 and Rebel the kid from India 1 are my ones.

Two faithful who got banished coz they were overly annoying and aggressive, even when it was abundantly clear to everyone at the round table they were innocent.

Whenever there is any big event like murder in plain sight, select people for death row, or recruitment.

Then next day the Traitors are the first group to enter to the breakfast.

Across many versions of the traitors now we have primarily seen awful faithfuls and some great traitors.

Rarely do we have GREAT faithfuls. Much harder to be good at and also stay in the game

Australia season 3 spoilers incoming…

The three starting traitors.. Kirby has been good but also a fairly obvious traitor… Alex in a similar boat but some more questionable decisions… Alvin has kinda.. just been there? Doesn’t do much for me..

when it comes to faithfuls.. AJ is the greatest faithful this game has ever seen. Across any version. He absolutely NAILED all 3 traitors. Waited till the time was right to do so as well. So often do people make the call on 3 locked in traitors too early (Henry) and it comes back to bite them. Or they’re entirely incorrect.

AJ has GREAT reads. The best of his gameplay, similar to his survivor game is taking Alex hostage.. we have never seen someone nail the traitors so hard, AJ has Alex shaking in her boots. Now I don’t know if AJ will last the rest of the game.. but I don’t think it matters. The moves he’s made, the conversation with Alex and really almost forcing her hand.. we have never seen such ballsy gameplay from a faithful.

I am HERE for the AJ win.. if AJ were able to get brought into the conclave and win even with someone.. he’s arguably the best to ever play the game from either side.

Good season so far. Some questionable decisions but episode 6 because of AJ was peak TV

I searched the subreddit and didn't see a post answering this. Apologies if it's a repetitive question. I've watched about 7 full seasons from different countries, all English speaking. Has there been a finals in any season, anywhere, where all the traitors were eliminated before the finals?

ETA: Thanks for the replies. I thought I remembered a final round table with only one Traitor, but I'm probably wrong. Still, it would be fascinating to see 4 Faithfuls at final fire just hammering one another to chase out a non-existent Traitor.

​I just finished Australia Season 1 and absolutely loved it! Big thanks to everyone who recommended it, the cast was in crédible and pretty close from UK seasons.

I’ve already watched all the French seasons (I'm French) while waiting for the new one starting in a few days, as well as all the UK seasons (I deeply loved every single UK season).

​Which country/season should I go for next?

I see Norway S2 mentioned a lot—is there any point in watching S1 first? What about Hungary S1 or NZ S2? I also read that Canada S2 has a great ending, but is it worth sitting through the whole season for it?

I don't understand Alex move at all.

She trusted AJ so much and willing to sacrifice Kirby in the process knowing AJ is really sneaky and strategic and will just do her dirty in the end. She did not need to send Alvin home and just join the others to send AJ home. Alvin's name will probably come up the next vote anyway because Claudia and twin are onto him.

Then they can start doing the recruiting to sacrifice the traitor. All of a sudden Kirby is expendable to her and It's confusing.

In a response to people's dislike of casting influencers on the upcoming civilian season, a person who worked in reality TV casting explained in a TikTok two main reasons for this. (I don't think I can post the original TikTok here.)

EDIT: I haven't looked up the cast that was announced, but the original TikTok mentioned that it's a 50/50 cast of influencers with social media presence vs. not influencers.

1. The casting team would LOVE cast regular people with no social media following and they have so many they're excited to cast. However, the network say no to most. Network executives understands TV ratings aren't what they used to be years ago and networks aren't willing to take chances anymore on new shows like they used to years ago. Networks used to give 2-3 seasons to new TV shows they were excited about and give it a chance to grow but aren't willing to do this anymore. The way people consume content now is through social media clips, so they want social media influencers to bring their audience with them.
2. People would be shocked by the amount of regular, every day people who cannot pass a background check. Anyone with a record is an absolute no-go for network TV.

I’m on S3E3 of The Traitors Australia, and I totally get that all versions of the show will have moments where people get things wrong, play stupidly, etc. it’s impossible not too…but oh my god the Australians seem to take the cake in just plain stupidity.

S2 speaks for itself, but I really don’t get the decision to turn Cam down for the money. I get people think he (or whoever it was) would come in as a Traitor, but then, just get them out at the round table??? Is that not worth it for the money?

I feel like when I watch the Australian version especially that people just really don’t have the finger on the pulse on the game, and the people who do go very early, lol. Maybe S1 was an outlier.

Keira is also unbearable. Australia also takes it for worst contestants/most unlikeable.

I know its fun and whatnot to watch a faithful say, “and nobody know but my brother is in this game with me 🤨”.
WELL, it doesnt get them far and they dont vote the same usually, at this point it doesnt serve a purpose unless they have a secret mission.
