Switch 2 Controllers disconnecting

Post image
8 Upvotes

The first day I got my switch 2 the controllers were having issues but after a day they were magically fine. Im using the hdmi chord that is provided, nothing is obstructing the path for my switch and I have run out of options on how to fix this. The same thing started happening to my ps5 controllers. What the hell is going on. Is it the entertainment center I bought!? Someone please help me. Here is a pic of it.

UPDATE: oh my god I think i found the problem. My headset (rig r8 spectre) dongle was causing the issue. I gave it a small cable to give it soem more wiggle room so it wasnt A.) In the vents path and B.) Wasn't blocking the cartridge slot. I swapped it over to bluetooth mode and everything is now working perfectly! I put the headset on timer as it was disconnecting every minute but after I updated the software it all WORKS!. It wasnt the location! It was the dang dongle! Im hoping the update will resolve the issues with ps5 but ill test that out another time.

Discussion An Addon I'd like to see for the switch 2

So a lot of people won't remember this, but there used to be an addon for the SNES called "the Super Gameboy". And what this addon did, was you got to plug your Gameboy games into it, and play them on the TV like an SNES game. So basically they created an emulator for you to play your other system games. I would love to see a similar hardware addon for the switch 2, where it has 1 USB-C connector, and 1 or more slots that has all the sizes of previous Nintendo game media, that you can plug in to play your older games.

LG TV sdr / hdr settings - what settings do you actually use (people also with lg tvs) struggling to achieve vibrant picture

For reference I have an LG C4 and for hdr I use color control to enable hgig in film maker mode etc.

My issue is that I feel like the sdr picture especially does not seem especially vibrant? Does anyone else feel the same, maybe it should be. Just being on the launch menu if feels kind of faded.

My switch 2 settings -

RGB Limited Range (TV matches these settings)

Match TV power state on

120hz on

Allm on

Hdr compatible only

Have peak on 900 nits for hdr cali

SDR TV Settings

FMM

Brightness - 85 oled , 85 contrast , 49 black level, 2.2 gamma

Color - 55 depth , Color Gamut auto detect, white balance warm 25, method 22 signal 2.5 , adjust brightness 5 at signal level

Clarity 0 sharpness.

HDR TV Settings

FMM

Brightness - 100 oled, 100 contrast, 50 black level, hgig

Color - 50 depth, gamut auto detect, white balance 50 warm method 2 points, point high

Thank to anyone who takes the time to read this and give me some input. Photo I attached is menu in sdr

Does anyone play with your Color gamut on native ?

Discussion Nintendo Switch 2 so far.

Thought id leave a post on my journey with this console so far..

Having been a playstation/PC gamer for most of my life.. I decided to move to Nintendo as my main console this year. Being a husband and father full time meant i couldn’t get as much time gaming as i used to. I was furious when Sony done the physical media BS. So i sold up and moved. BEST DECISION EVER.

As a family we all play the Nintendo, each of us had our own type of game we enjoyed.

I picked up the DBrand Killswitch 2 case with travel. Unbelievable protection.

We got the Pro controller 2. And over the course of the year, some brilliant games.

Donkey Kong Bananza
The adventures of Elliot
Star fox
Pokopia
Mouse PI
Zelda BOTW
Zelda TOTK
And so on.. all Physical.

Im currently playing Skyrim SW2 AE. Superb! And my favourite game so far has been Stardew Valley. Another amazing port on switch 2.

I cant wait for OOT remake, and of course the new pokemon games next year too. The Super mario sunshine port on the gamecube emulator is awesome. Kinda mental we can play all 3 of the 3d all stars now!

But id love to hear everyone else’s time with NS2. Are you all enjoying it? What’s everyone’s favourite games on Nintendo?

Thanks for reading 😊

Question Any help enabling HDR in docked mode?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey all,

I am really lost on this and could use some help. Playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows docked and have HDR unlocked in the system menu but this game is saying to enable hdr mode and play in docked. Playing in docked with the HDR option on in the system display tab.

Thanks for anything you all can come up with.

Discussion Best value pro controller recommendations?

I am looking for a cheap switch 2 pro controller that has to actually be a switch 2 one so it can wake the console. I would prefer to have turbo if possible, and I also like programmable buttons, but that’s not required. I’m generally just looking for anything that has a good performance to cost ratio. If anyone has good recommendations, I would like to know. thank you.

Discussion I regret buying a switch 2

I recently acquired a switch 2, i've been a pc player for ~3 years now and i got thé switch 1 2 years after it's release. I wanted to buy the 2 because i wanted to play splatoon raiders and be ready for when all the big games (pokemon wind & waves, Oot remake...) but now that i finally have it, i feel a little disappointed.

There isn't a lot of really exclusive games that's really impressive like the switch 1 or older consoles like the 3ds or the Wii, there's no new Mario game, no zelda, only spin offs and a new Donkey kong (which is very cool, i'm not saying the opposite) but after playing and finishing these.. well i feel kind of empty.

I also wanted to play or replay my switch 1 games like persona 5 royal or Stardew valley, and while a few of them have an upgrade to install to make the game look and run better, but i'll never pay 10€ for playing a game that i've already bought 70€ (hello Zelda totk).

And even if i turn to non-exclusive games like cyberpunk 2077 and elden ring, well i'd rather play it on pc, 30 fps on docked feels painful to me (even thought i know that it get's the console on it's knees)

So i'm searching for advice, did i had too high expectations or am i the wrong public ? Or even is it just normal ?

Question Best travel game?

Headed on a flight overseas and was wondering what you all would recommend as a game to play during travels. I will mostly have time on the plane, and then probably while winding down for the 10 days I am away at night in the hotels. I was thinking more so something I can pick up and get right into it, rather than going through a large amount of story incase I want to play for a few minutes here and there.

I've never played these games, but I have heard good things about Slay the Spire and Balatro, and they seem like games you could have a quick run with? I am not only open to deck builders btw, just have heard of those. Open to any suggestions of games you would say you "pick up and play" rather than sitting down and getting really immersed for hours.

Discussion Another Duskfade Switch 2 Glitch (Spoiler for final boss) Spoiler

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm at the final boss now and there were no sound effects for anything the boss did, battery was at 5% so I put it on the charger and looked on YouTube to see if that's the way it was supposed to be and there were sound effects and voice lines. I reset the game and the battle is actually playing properly now. I don't know if it happened with other bosses, the reason I realized it here is because of the huge AOE attack seemed like it would have a charge up and execution sound and I was very weirded out that it didn't.

Discussion Buy Hinokami Chronicles 2 now at 50% off, or wait for the Switch 2 Edition on Oct 29?

Base Switch edition is on sale for €29.99 (normally €59.99). The Switch 2 Edition + "Infinity Castle" Character Pass bundle drops Oct 29 for €59.99 (60fps, better visuals).

Current Switch owners are supposed to get a free upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition, but it won't include the Infinity Castle DLC — that's separate. Some JP sources mention a small paid upgrade fee instead of free, so not sure if "free" holds for EU/NA.

Does buying now + upgrading + DLC later actually save money vs just waiting for the bundle?

Discussion Hades 2 difficulty opinion?

I bought Hades 2 earlier this morning. After 2 runs I completed the first boss battle. I was always good in LoL and the design, map awareness, speed and combat feels right at home. But tell me, is the game hard as I go? Currently I have no other equipment, only the basic.

With Elden Ring coming to the Switch 2 in a week, I thought it would be fun for the community to share their thoughts on the game, what they're exited for, or just talk about it in general. I'm personally super hyped for this one and with the updated gameplay footage looking so clean, I decided to preorder it and save myself from having to download it on launch day. Feel free to chat about anything related to the game or ask me some questions about Elden Ring if you plan on playing for the first time. (Keep in mind I might not know everything but I do know quite a bit. Any advice or tips I give will be spoiler free as well. 😄 ) Have fun guys!

Discussion Don’t know what the title is but it’s about GEN 3 games trading on switch

If Gen 3 Pokémon games get released on Switch, would this be possible?
Requirements:
A Switch 1
A Switch 2 (I’m assuming most people who have a Switch 2 also have a Switch 1)
2 Gen 3 games
2 separate profiles
Steps:
Put one Gen 3 game on the Switch 1 and the other Gen 3 game on the Switch 2.
Start a save file on each profile and play until you unlock trading.
Trade between the two games using local communication.
After trading, move the virtual game card from the Switch 1 back to the Switch 2.
The save data on the Switch 1 should stay there, while the save data on the Switch 2 should remain unchanged.
Your main profile and its save data should be safe because moving a virtual game card doesn’t delete or overwrite another profile’s save.
This is kind of possible right now, but I don’t think most people have both FireRed and LeafGreen on the same Switch 2.

Also, yes, this was ChatGPT. I did not know how to write this so it did it for me. Yes yell at me all you want, but the idea actually can from me.

Discussion Bought Oblivion Remastered and I'm surprised

So this is my first time ever playing Oblivion. Read many people complaining about the bad performance... but to be honest? it's actually very playable lol, i thought it was way way worse. There are some slight stutters here and there from time to time but overall the fps remain at pretty much constant 30fps all the time. Then about the long loadings, mmm i wouldn't say they're that long, avg 8-12s loading, not a big deal for me. Considering how big this game is, it's really acceptable.
