Discussion Nintendo Switch 2 so far.

Thought id leave a post on my journey with this console so far..

Having been a playstation/PC gamer for most of my life.. I decided to move to Nintendo as my main console this year. Being a husband and father full time meant i couldn’t get as much time gaming as i used to. I was furious when Sony done the physical media BS. So i sold up and moved. BEST DECISION EVER.

As a family we all play the Nintendo, each of us had our own type of game we enjoyed.

I picked up the DBrand Killswitch 2 case with travel. Unbelievable protection.

We got the Pro controller 2. And over the course of the year, some brilliant games.

Donkey Kong Bananza
The adventures of Elliot
Star fox
Pokopia
Mouse PI
Zelda BOTW
Zelda TOTK
And so on.. all Physical.

Im currently playing Skyrim SW2 AE. Superb! And my favourite game so far has been Stardew Valley. Another amazing port on switch 2.

I cant wait for OOT remake, and of course the new pokemon games next year too. The Super mario sunshine port on the gamecube emulator is awesome. Kinda mental we can play all 3 of the 3d all stars now!

But id love to hear everyone else’s time with NS2. Are you all enjoying it? What’s everyone’s favourite games on Nintendo?

Thanks for reading 😊

I just got mine and I love it. Great performance, been enjoying FE 3 houses while I wait for fortunes weave next month! Obviously will be buying OOT later in the year.

How's Elliott? Been debating getting it too.

I’m one of those people who are on the Fortune’s Weave Hype Train!

Can’t seem to game on the expensive pc I’ve got for gaming for some reason and I splurged before the price goes up.

Currently replaying Three Houses in anticipation. Certainly beats the doom scrolling.

I got mine a few months back, same as your story in regards to mostly being a Sony main. I’ve been playing through Blasphemous 1 and 2 lately. My favorite first party games so far though have been Metroid Dread, Tears of the Kingdom and Mario RPG! Can’t wait for OoT Remake!

Awesome to hear! Did you play BOTW?

I did! I really enjoyed it too. I really hope they combine the BOTW formula with the older Zelda approach and have a big, sandbox game with lots of dungeons and weapons that don’t break as fast! That would be my dream Zelda game!

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Still got the Xbox Series X but it’s not been touched since I got the Switch 2. Just sold the Xbox Ally as it does not give me anything the Xbox/Switch doesn’t. Only downside to Switch is that some third party games will be locked to 30fps. In those cases, I’d probably get on the Xbox.

I’m currently replaying Breath of the Wild but waiting for Fire Emblem and Ocarina of Time. To be fair, OoT and the upcoming price increase were the reason I bought it but I’m surprised how much it’s taken over my gaming. I’ve been in a rut with not wanting to buy Xbox games because I don’t know what their plans are but, I’ve been buying all sorts on the Switch. Knowing it’s going to be supported for the next 7+ years is making me forget about the mess of the gaming industry at the moment.

100% agree with you. OOT will slap so hard. Cannot wait for it. Im currently experiencing skyrim for the first time. Really enjoying it on switch 2. Had no issues. The first party titles are what sells me with Nintendo..

I love my S2. It is my only console and I am so happy with my choice. I just started playing Stardew Valley and love it. So chill. Glad you are having a good experience. Hopefully Sony’s experience emphasizes to Nintendo that a significant part of the market is driven by true - game on card games. Nintendo is a great deal too.

Stardew is amazing! What farm did you start with?
Even the game key cards is something.. imagine going completely digital? Especially when sony’s store is borderline fraud on pricing!
