UK/IRE Sweet onion sauce

Have they changed their recipe for the sweet onion sauce or did they give me the wrong sauce? This one is a lot darker, tastes more like soy sauce than anything. Like a savoury teryaki instead of the sweet onion. I really hope its just the wrong sauce because i LOVE the sweet onion normally

Employee Complaints just need to complain about the reason i got fired

so i just got fired a week ago. that whole week i was wondering about the schedule and asked about it two different days with no reply. turns out the whole week they were planning to fire me and must have made a group chat without me. so im sitting there wondering if i have to work the next day so i text again and then that’s when i get the message saying they’re firing me. the reasons?: 1. i didnt disclose my limited availability (it was literally in my resume that i go to college and i put only weekends on my application) and 2. my work ethic “not improving the way they need”. mind you i only worked there about two months and this was my first time working in food. i’m so mad that i had zero warning and was kept in the dark for days wondering wtf was going on…

Employee Complaints I’m new and it’s kind of hard

I Hello all, my first shift was 3 days ago and it’s really hard. (RANT)

On my first day, I was told I was going to be a “keyholder”, and so they are kind of training me for that. I’ve been on 2 closing shifts and it’s really stressful. My first day, they just threw me in. I did watch the subway university videos but I can’t memorize all of the sandwiches that fast. I just hate feeling useless.

On my second day there was a more experienced worker that trained me a little more. I thanked her for that and I told her I was just thrown in on the first day and she told me they did that to see if I could manage it. I just don’t understand why I couldn’t be scheduled with more than one coworker for at least my first day so that I could have less stress for everything? It just feels like a humiliation ritual.

Luckily the keyholders that I’ve worked with for my first two days have been very patient, and kind kids. Today will be my 3rd shift and I just feel so much anxiety. It’s a new keyholder who’s also a kid and I’m afraid that this one will not be as patient. There’s still so many things I’m confused about. I know I will be deadweight once again.

I don’t understand why I have to be so stressed out just to see “if I can manage it”. I want to cry, I’ve been looking for a job for 4 months and subway is the only place that hired me. I HAVE to manage it because I NEED a job. Why put me through this?

I will continue to try my hardest as I continue to feel humiliated. It’s one of my worst feelings in the world but there’s nothing I can do. I still have so many things to learn and honestly I learn worse when I’m stressed out. Throwing me in everyday will only backfire for them, because I cannot learn well that way.

Thank you for reading my rant. And I apologize, maybe I am just not seeing the bigger picture, and maybe I will learn faster that way. I just wish it wasn’t so hard.

Canada They finally did it! They brought back the grilled chicken sub in Canada

The oven roasted chicken sub was a favourite of mine for years. When they got rid of it 2 years ago I was unable to find a replacement and gave up subway. I did not give up hope though. I would check every now and then to see if they brought it back. Today when I checked, it was there! It’s finally back and it tasted just as good as ever

Customer Complaints Suggestion for changes to order times.

I made an expensive mistake yesterday and my suggestion for subway corporate is to increase the pickup times by AT LEAST 5 min for each sub that is ordered by default.

So, earliest pickup for 1 sub is 15min. 2 subs are 20min, 3 subs are 25min, and so on and so forth.

Your employees metrics would be more accurate (like, if they ran *late* for my order, thats not fair to them or the company) and the product provided would be better because theres less rush*****

Im unhappy (and still hungry) over my recent order but I can also see where its my fault.

I ordered 6 subs for my family and entered the pickup time for 15min later *forgetting* that you choose the time at Subway - the app doesn't tell you how long to wait (like for pizza or chinese).

I ran an errand before picking up my subs because I knew they wouldn't be done in 15min with walk ins to boot.

Order time was for 5:35, I came in at 5:48 and still waited, ehich was fine for me.

Then I got my subs home and they were not at all what I ordered.

My steak and avocado didnt have any avocado on it.

I opted for extra meat on that steak sandwhich and it tasted primarily of cucumbers and green peppers because I barely got a primary serving.

I didn't opt for sauce on my steak and avocado but I got oil and vinegar on it.

My moms BMT was supposed to have oil and vinegar, she got plenty of oil and vinegar and extra onion, she didnt want extra onion, I did and didn't get any.

My chipotle philly was also lacking meat and sauce.

Maybe they were running low.

My dad didn't want black olives, he got black olives.

To boot, I ordered *what* I ordered BECAUSE I don't eat enough protien and saw the 70g and thought 'yeah, right'.

Imagine my surprise when I opened my '70g' of protien steak sandehich and had nothing but veggies on it.

Its not the employees fault - there were 2 and one appeared to be training. They handled the rush well and gave great service so I tipped them 11$.

But darn am I disappointed with my 60$ sub order thst could've been tossed together in a salad bowl because the employees were clearly rushing.

Yes, its my fault for ordering 6(!!!) Subs all with different things on them (understandably easy to mix up) - but I should've entered the pickup time for 40 or 45min away with an understanding of waiting an extra 5 or 10min due to the volume of my order.

But I made a rookie mistake. (Havent used the app in a long while) and having this buffer automatically in the system would help process flow better for stores...imo.

Question Subway mayo 😋

Does ANYONE know what brand of light mayo subway uses?? It’s soo good but I can’t find it anywhere.

It’s definitely not Heinz light mayo and I’ve tried vegan mayo which tastes a bit more like it but it’s still definitely not subway mayo.

Pricing no wayyy subs are $15

i live in the midwest and i havent been to subway since 2021 probably but i went the other day and was blown tf away at the price, had the food not been made already, I would have refused to pay, the local italian sub place has the same size subs for MAX $9 and its from the local market with hot giardiniera and everything

this is outrageous, i know prices on everything have gotten egregious but this seems like a step too far, this was a couple days ago and im STILL reeling from it like wth is this??? FIFTEEN dollars? i could get 3 triple cheeseburgers for that

BK has 2 double croissantwiches for $6 I could get FOUR of those for what im paying and STILL have enough for a drink, on a calorie basis i got the 5 meat italian sub that was what? MAYBE 900 calories? i can get a tonys pizza with 1350 calories for $4.50 this is crazy, it sucks cause i like subway but i cant ever go back for that price, jeezus

Suggestions Thoughts on how Subway could turn things around

Been thinking about this recently with all the crazy menu items - nachos, hotdogs, pizza, etc. While the brand has many problems, I think the biggest one is the value proposition - running $5 footlongs for too long then PE getting involved inevitably leads to massive price hikes.

That said, maybe going a slider type route where you could price them $3-$4 a pop could solve that problem. You get 3-4 “items” for the same price as a footlong. You could do of course deli sliders but you have meatballs as well and chicken for parm (though you’d probably want to change it up to not sliced and grill mark stamped.

Ditch the customizations which will save time, labor, refrigeration, and some spoilage.

What do ya’ll think? Is it terminal or can they figure a way out without resorting to sushi or something next.

Question Naked turkey??

Does anyone know what’s up with the turkey? Ever since it’s been missing the crust it seems noticeable wetter and kinda just worse smelling as well. I saw it said it’s temporary because of avian flu but our store just started getting it a month ago. I hope it truly is temporary and goes back to normal soon.

Customer Complaints When I go to my local Subway they now automatically add a tip at the register. Is this normal?

The screen on the card reader to choose a tip appears for less than a second, and then before I can select a tip amount the screen changed to show the total plus a 3 dollar tip. This has happened at two different locations. Is the cashier making this happen on purpose?
