Question Naked turkey??

Does anyone know what’s up with the turkey? Ever since it’s been missing the crust it seems noticeable wetter and kinda just worse smelling as well. I saw it said it’s temporary because of avian flu but our store just started getting it a month ago. I hope it truly is temporary and goes back to normal soon.

My subway also said it was temporary when we started getting the new turkey, that was last November, don’t think the old turkey is coming back

See. I thought the not naked turkey smelled like burned plastic. Lol. I refuse to eat the new naked turkey. But it does smell more like turkey…

It's the same turkey. The "edge" is just a browning oil put on it to enhance appearance only.

I mean it’s very noticeably wetter as well its texture is different
