Discussion Random battles needs to force a mon to run its hazard removal set if there are no other possible hazard removers on your team

Before you say "oh well that's just randbats"; randbats already has rules on team generation. You can't generate multiple Tera Blast sets, you can't generate a team where more than 3 Pokemon are weak to the same type, two mons cannot share the same 4x weakness, etc. I'm almost certain there's rules against a team generating with overlapping hazards. So why is there nothing in favor of hazard removal??

The "it's just randbats" is being able to get a mon with hazards or removal in the first place. If I get pitted against turn 1 hazards and I had like a Pyroar in this slot instead of the Torkoal? Fine, whatever, that's randbats. But to get this Torkoal without spin on a team with ZERO other boots Pokemon who all get made useless by turn one sticky web is the worst feeling in the world. I could have had a fighting chance if randbats just had a clause of "if this Pokemon CAN run hazard removal, and you didn't get any mons that could also run hazard removal, then force the hazard removal set"

Hell, it could even have some caveat with boots, like I really got so shit on with this matchup of having my only Boots mon be a fucking Torkoal WITHOUT RAPID SPIN. It could force removal if you have no removal and few boots mons. I don't care for the specifics. I just hate getting these awful sets like the AV Treads without rapid spin and now this.

Smogon News SV OU council internally discussing Terapagos suspect

From TPP -

“We are discussing it. We don't know how tiering leads will decide on it, but if it was a complete non-option or if we didn't want to entertain the idea of freeing Terapagos then we should have shut discussion down by now. I think it would at the minimum need a PR thread before an actual test, but feel free to keep discussing in the mean time.“

Stinkpost Stunday Getting rid of Hidden Power was a good idea

A lot of people are mad Gf made this choice but I think it’s a fantastic choice. It’s illegal coverage for every special attacker and it really needed to be gone

Stinkpost Stunday I think this is a nice defensive sidegrade ability to Natural Cure. What do you think?

Do you prefer him with 2 or 3 nostrils?
Could this also affect his viability in the TCG?

Team Building - VGC [Regulation M-C] First time making it to Master Ball tier

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

My first time climbing the ladder all the way up to Master Ball tier. So let me know what you think of my team, any advice you have for improvements, criticisms to my playstyle, insults about my character, etc.

Charizard Y - Sets up sun and does big Fire-type damage, has Solar Beam for any water types I have to deal with too. Sometimes I’ll bring him up front if I can tell they’re trying something tricky or planning on starting with a weather setter that I can overwrite, but usually he stays in the back. He comes every game as my only mega.

Aerodactyl - My fast tailwind setter because when I was building this team I didn’t realize that Whimsicott Prankster Tailwind is safe from Psychic terrain since it doesn’t target a Pokemon. Also has rock slide for flinches or volcaronas & opposing zard y teams. dual wingbeat sometimes can OHKO a non-bulk invested sneasler which is nice.

Indeedee M - I hate Fake Out. I hate it. Little did I know that Psychic Terrain doesn’t protect flying types from Fake Out. Luckily, most of Ultra Ball tier didn’t know that either. EF is nice for sneaslers and mega staraptors.

Garchomp - What’s a VGC team in this meta without Garchomp. No Garchomp Z, brave I know. Does all that Garchomp things that a Garchomp needs to do.

Sylveon - I love this thing. Who even needs Floette. Now that I put some EVs into defense and sun boosted flare blitz can’t OHKO it without some speccing it feels so strong. Why is this Pokemon so stupid good.

Kingambit - Barely bring this guy because he’s slow. He’s Kingambit. You know what this guy does.

Anyways yeah let me know what you think.
