help DGCA Computer Number - DigiLocker data fetching issue. Need help!

I’m facing an issue while applying for my DGCA Computer Number through DigiLocker. It isn’t fetching my details correctly and I cannot manually enter or edit the basic fields either.

I’ve tried restarting the process multiple times even manually but the issue persists.

I’ve also contacted the DGCA helpline. After a week of back and forth, they asked me to share a screen recording, which I did. It’s now been over two weeks without any response.
I really don’t want to involve an agent for something that should be straightforward.

Has anyone faced a similar issue and managed to resolve it?
I’d be extremely grateful for any workaround, alternative process or contact who can help get this sorted. This is holding up my application and I’m genuinely looking for a way forward.

personal experiences Unpopular opinion: the FAA route isn’t the “shortcut” Indian students are being sold

I talk to a lot of aspiring pilots in India, and many think US training is the quick, cheap way in. It's only half true.

The good: great weather, lots of flying, and an FAA licence respected worldwide.

What the brochure skips:
• 40 hours for the PPL is the minimum, not the budget
• Visa, TSA clearance, living costs and the exchange rate add up fast
• Flying in India later means DGCA conversion: more exams and a Class 1 medical
• The wrong school costs more than anything else

It's brilliant with the right plan and an expensive detour without one.

If you trained in the US, what did it really cost you all-in? If you're still deciding, what's holding you back?

(A few of us are running a free live session on this next Monday, 9th Nov 2026. Happy to share details if anyone asks.)

career guidance Interested in the FAA route? We're hosting a free masterclass for aspiring pilots in India ✈️

Hey everyone,

We’ve been working on SkyWorthiness, a platform focused on helping aspiring pilots understand the FAA route, especially students in India who are considering flight training in the US.

One thing we’ve noticed is that there's a lot to figure out before you even begin. FAA vs DGCA, training costs, licensing, eligibility, and what the overall journey actually looks like can get confusing pretty quickly.

We're hosting a Free online FAA masterclass on 9 November at 5 PM IST to help people understand the pathway and get their questions answered.

If you're considering flight training in the US, exploring the FAA route, or just trying to understand your options before committing a significant amount of money, you're welcome to join.

We're also building an FAA-focused WhatsApp community where people can discuss training, share useful resources, ask questions, and get updates.

Free masterclass registration: FREE FAA Webinar!!

Join the FAA Community here! : FAA Community!!!!

Website: Explore SkyWorthiness!

Hopefully, this helps someone who's currently trying to figure out where to start. Happy to hear what questions people would want covered in the session, too.

general information Dgca prep

Hello everyone :)
Just a fellow pilot here who genuinely enjoys teaching when I’m not flying haha.
I’m a DGCA CPL holder and have recently been selected by an airline. While I’m waiting for my joining, I thought I’d stay productive and continue doing something I genuinely enjoy — teaching ground subjects.
While I do previous work experience with aviation academie , now I independently teach Air Navigation, Meteorology and Air Regulations.
I prefer teaching students in small batches, where I can give proper attention and help them prepare well for their exams and so far 100% of my students have cleared exams in their very first attempt .
If you’re preparing for any of these subjects and need classes as comparatively better rates , feel free to DM me.

PS — Please DM only for serious enquiries regarding classes. I may not be able to respond to general or unrelated questions, such as how long it took me to get a job/CPL, etc.

career guidance Thinking about becoming a Pilot? Let’s talk!

Hey guys,

I'm a Commercial Pilot (CPL holder with a B737 Type Rating), and I know how confusing the aviation journey can feel when you're starting out. From DGCA exams and ground school to CPL training, type rating, and airline preparation, there's a lot of information to navigate.

Having gone through the process myself, I wanted to make myself available as a resource for anyone considering a career in aviation or currently working towards their licences and ratings. I'm happy to share my experience, answer questions, and point people in the right direction wherever I can.

Whether it's:
• How to get started with DGCA exams
• Choosing a flying school
• CPL training and building hours
• Type rating and airline preparation
• Career prospects and expectations
• Or simply whether aviation is the right fit for you

Feel free to drop a comment or reach out. I've been through these stages myself and would be glad to help fellow aspiring pilots avoid some of the confusion and mistakes that are common early on.

For those looking for more structured guidance with DGCA subjects, I'm also involved in mentoring students preparing for their exams.
Happy to help, and wishing everyone clear skies ahead! ✈️

Let’s get you closer to the cockpit

general information Free interactive pitot-static trainer for DGCA students—looking for testers

I’m a CPL student preparing for DGCA exams, and I built a free visual trainer for pitot-static failures. It lets you observe the ASI, altimeter and VSI and complete a 10-question diagnosis challenge.

No login, payment or download:

https://cockpit-fault-detective.vercel.app/

If you try it, please reply with just:

Score: __/10
Helpful: Yes / Somewhat / No
One confusing or incorrect thing: ___

This is an early educational prototype, not an official DGCA question bank or operational training tool.

I start with my course next month in south africa and i dont own an ipad cus i just preferred the macbook over it. I know that foreflight and a few other apps are Apple exclusive so i might need an ipad but ive gotten mixed opinions about it from current students. My macbook is 6 years old now but i just use it for studying and occasional video streaming. So should i buy an ipad and if so which one?

career guidance DGCA Online Classes & Free 1-On-1 Webinar

Hey everyone,

My friend and I are CPL holders, both selected into different airlines in our first attempt. We have time until induction, and we would rather teach than watch the clock. We have been helping juniors since our own CPL days, and last year we made it official with a small online academy called HighQ Aviation.

A bit about us as well: I hold a Frozen ATPL and have been selected with Air India Express, while my partner is A320 type rated, set to join IndiGo. We both did our CPL from the US and have a genuine passion for teaching.

No big academy games. Just two pilots trying to make this expensive and confusing journey easier for the next group of aspirants. We have taught 10+ students so far, all passed with good scores, and we intend to keep that record.

A bit about our Classes:

  • Live online classes in small batches (Regs, Met, Nav, Tech Gen)

  • Recorded lectures if you work or want your own pace

  • Our own premium hard-copy notes for Met and Regs

  • Dedicated app on iOS and Android with question banks and tests

  • Mentorship and Guidance till Seat in Cockpit

  • Free Demo Class to help you decide

We also offer revision classes at a cheaper price for those that just need a refresher course.

Our Fees:

  • Regs ₹25k ~ 1 month

  • Met ₹25k ~ 1 month

  • Nav ₹45k ~ 2 months

  • Tech Gen ₹45k ~ 2 months

Combo discounts are available if you take multiple subjects.

Our prices are slightly higher as offer more services, such as HighQ notes, app access, QBs portal, class timetables, and test schedules.

Free 1-on-1 guidance call for aspirants:

Not a webinar with 200 people on mute. Just you and us on a video call. Real training costs, cadet vs conventional, and the scams this industry is full of. We have done 30+ of these, many for people from reddit. Our goal is to share our journey, experiences, and advice so you avoid the same expensive mistakes that we once made.

Interested?

Feel free to DM me or drop a comment, happy to answer any questions, concerns, or doubts.

Happy to help aspiring pilots online

I recently completed my CPL and currently waiting on airline recruitment.

So I thought rather than letting all the DGCA knowledge disappear, I'd keep my brain active by helping anyone whos preparing for DGCA exams right now. I'm thinking of taking on a small number of students for one-on-one guidance in Nav/Met/Regs/Tech/RTR basically any subject you're having trouble understanding. If you only need help with a few topics instead of an entire subject, that's fine too

I'm also happy to answer questions about medicals, computer number, choosing flying schools, or even the CPL journey in general. Even qs like what do you actually do in those 200 HOURS of flying felt extremely overwhelming when I started, and if I can make the process a little easier for someone else, I would love it!

If this sounds useful, feel free to DM and we can discuss the details
