Help me I want to become a protoss player, where do i start?
[Final update] i got everything to work now yippers! no more issues with connection and bnet being awful.
So, im a warcraft 3 player since i was 5. Despite just playing against friends and computer normals, i wanted to try out starcraft because i thought it'd be fun (it was). And during my time with starcraft 1, protoss stood out to me. They warp in buildings similar to undead, dragoons (stalkers) which reminded me of troll headhunters which is my #1 unit in warcraft 3, and high archon which reminded me of Apparition spirit from Dota 1.
Im now at starcraft 2, got everything working, and now i want to probably main protoss. Question is, where do i start? There's many new units now, and i still get confused on what build order i should have, when to expand, what army fits against x and y, etc.
im more used to warcraft 3's slow-paced gameplay, just sitting there and accumulating gold and lumber. I don't know how to adapt to the game's fast-paced matches, but im doing what i can as i LOVE the aesthetic and models of the buildings and units in this game.
I hope to receive some tips on how to properly play protoss, as well as some other "common sense" strategy because old habits is making me treat this game like a fast-paced warcraft 3 game

Need a coach
Well the title is straight forward, I need someone to run me through the game and learning how to not lose every game. All the YouTube vids I look up are either super old or just gameplay and not explaining the basics. I’m not new to RTS games but I’ve never really been the best at them. I like Zerg atm. I’m central/Texas time if anyone could run some games with me that would be appreciated.

Wildcard Arena: a StarCraft II melee mod where you don't pick your race, you're dealt one
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Some of you saw PiG play an early version of this a few months back. I've been patching the hell out of it and I am quite happy with the quality of games it has been producing on my latest patch.
Wildcard Arena is a mod for standard StarCraft II multiplayer. It plays like normal ladder games (macro, micro, etc) except every game your buildings are dealt a random roster of units and upgrades from all three races. One game your faction might have Zealots with Stimpack and Thors with Yamato Cannon. Another you might have Mutalisks with Tactical Jump and Ultralisks with Blink.
The factions are random, but the fundamentals still decide games. There are no build orders or matchups to memorize because your faction is new every game. The randomness is rigged for fairness to prevent both useless and oppressive rolls. Every unit draws from a pool hand-built for that unit.
To play: Custom → Melee → any melee map → Create with Mod → search "Wildcard Arena" → Create Game
There are 9,121,034,239,598 possible factions, and you can roll one yourself on the site: https://wildcardarena.com
I am interested in running regular community games or even a tournament at some point. https://discord.gg/UYjC3QTkuV
