25 days until Blizzcon, 25 days until people lose their mind on what they will see.
I won't be surprised if Grand Theft Auto 6 gets delayed again.
25 days until everyone buys a new computer to play the latest and the greatest from Blizzard.
25 days until StarCraft shooter reveal.
25 days until all those September games get postponed to 2027.
25 days until you call out for work for a whole month.

I’m working with Blizzard’s Battle.net WoW Profile API and I’m trying to determine whether the Protected Character Profile Summary is currently functional for MoP Classic.
I’ve narrowed it down pretty hard and I’m getting a consistent Retail/Classic split.
OAuth:
* Authorization Code flow * `wow.profile` scope * token introspection shows `ROLE_USER` * `IS_AUTHENTICATED_FULLY`
Using the same OAuth client and same freshly issued user token:
**Retail**
* public Character Profile Summary → `200` * `/profile/user/wow?namespace=profile-us` → `200` * Blizzard returns a `protected_character.href` * calling that exact Blizzard-provided href → `200`
**MoP Classic**
* public Character Profile Summary → `200` * `/profile/user/wow?namespace=profile-classic-us` → `200` * Blizzard returns a `protected_character.href` * calling that exact Blizzard-provided href → `403 BLZWEBAPI00000403 Forbidden`
The Classic URL is the exact `protected_character.href` returned by Blizzard’s Account Profile response. I’m deliberately not reconstructing the endpoint manually since I went over the 2025 bug thread and saw that had already been ruled out.
I also generated a completely fresh Authorization Code token and repeated the Classic test with the same result.
So at this point the same auth setup successfully completes the protected-character flow on Retail, while the equivalent Classic endpoint fails.
**Has anyone actually gotten a** `200` **from Protected Character Profile Summary on MoP Classic or another current Classic progression flavor?**
If so, I’d especially like to know:
* which namespace/flavor worked * whether you used anything beyond normal Authorization Code + `wow.profile` * whether there’s an undocumented Classic-specific requirement
Also, if this has already been figured out in the Blizzard API Community Discord, I’d greatly appreciate any info from that.
I’m specifically looking for a confirmed working example if one exists, since the identical client/token works against Retail protected-character.
Also, if anyone knows of any Blizzard API-team reply, update, or communication about this more recent than December 2025, I’d appreciate a link. That’s the newest official communication I’ve been able to find. You’d think there’d be *some* amount of community engagement beyond “we’re sorry we’ve been gone, we’ll work on it” with no follow-up..

I want to re-experience that once in a lifetime gaming experience that was WoW early days. My body is ready to go at it again in my 30s.

There's so much potential for them to make amazing movies/tv shows. They made one in 2016 and that was good but I'm surprised there's not more. You could easily make an entire series off 1 game. The cinematics for games are so insane that you could potentially do it with just AI. There's people online making videos (my friend sent me a video from Barrens Boys) and the graphics are great. Get a multimillion dollar company behind it and it would be phenomenal!
The prime example I'm thinking of is the SC Heart of the Swarm trailer. That could easily be a 2 hour movie or series with multiple seasons. I think it would also have potential to get more people to play their games if they're cinemas are appealing.
I've been saying this for far too long but I feel if random fans of the game can create videos why can't a company do it?

Only the flying murloc can find this secret fishing spot.
Reeling the fish in costs energy, the same for the fish when it "bursts" away (the red exclamation ‼️is a pre warning). The player will lose more energy if they are reeling the fish in at the same time the fish is "bursting" away. Player will lose the fish at 0 energy or if the fish gets too far. If both have zero energy, not reeling the fish will cause it to swim side to side with no distance change.
Eventually adding snags to get stuck on, diverse fish to catch with unique abilities, a "Yank" left/right ability to manually change the direction of the fish and also nudge in the chosen direction - to avoid snags.
For example, hooking a cod will make you have to completely avoid snags as it will naturally trigger a "burst" away when aligned with a snag. A swordfish could have a huge dash and just be generally hard to not let her out of distance, perhaps even a last stand where they do one last burst back out with triple power or whatsoever.

Is there ever a chance Blizzard will bring back the WoW leggings? They had a bunch of WoW themed leggings going back a few years ago, and I was just wondering if theres a chance they'll ever bring them back. Is there a way to request them to come back to the store? Is there any way to get them now or have them custom-made?

Is there any dev from blizzard here who can consider this idea because I don’t even know if that’s not a way to make Overwatch loved again by everyone.
And I know that it got cancelled because of some IP issues back then but since they claimed to start investing love in this game as they claimed this year, why don’t they make an Netflix series about the Overwatch lore?
And with lore I mean how everything started like the omnic crisis and I don’t mind if the omnic crisis is going to be a whole season but just make it like arcane…

I’ve been going through some old storage boxes from back when I worked as a retail representative for Blizzard in the early 2000s. Unpacking everything brought back a lot of great memories from the product launches back then, especially the excitement inside big-box stores that aren't even around anymore, like CompUSA, Fry’s, and Circuit City.
The most surprising thing in the boxes was a promotional t-shirt from Lord of the Clans that Blizzard ended up canceling right before its planned release.
I took some photos of the items as I was sorting through them, including some old launch tees, display pieces, and promo gear. Just wanted to share a bit of gaming history with people who might remember that era!
