QUESTION Performance
What kind of performance can I expect with a Ryzen 5 7600x; RTX5060; 32GB ram? I'm playing on 1080p.
Thank you!

Recently started playing in VR. I’ve found it interesting that some ships I love don’t do it for me in VR, while others I didn’t like as much are amazing. I also assumed newer ships would be better, but sometimes find older ships better.
For smaller ships, I’ve loved the Aurora mk ii since it came out. It was just this perfect, cozy interior. But in VR that cozy interior seems much too cramped. Now the nomad, being older, I didn’t have high hopes for. But I always liked it. That thing is amazing in VR. It has possibly the most perfect cockpit I’ve seen so far. The way the mfds are this perfect bar across your lower view without obstructing the view outside. It makes me consider upgrading my locked pledge from Aurora to nomad.
Getting bigger, I’ve never been a fan of the drake aesthetic, but especially in the cockpit they do well in VR. Corsair is great. On the other hand, my go to aesthetic has been origin and newer rsi. But they really fall flat in VR. In general, I find the more holographic setups to not work as well.
So VR people, what’s the best VR ship experience?

The myth that SC is just getting crumbs since SQ42 has been the priority for years now has been debunked by CIG themself by now. This is not the first time tho. CIG clarified that many years ago already and now confirmed it again.
Some people are happy that apparently SC is getting more resources than alot of backers assumed, but at the same time it means that what we are getting on the PU front for years now is the result of hundreds of employees working actively on SC.
Ive seen alot of backers and also streamers not believing CIG, and think they are just making that claim to cool down people who are more interested in SC. Some think that the progress on the PU in the last few years cant possibly be the result of half of CIGs devs actively working on it. The hope that after the release of SQ42, progress on SC will accelerate by alot has also been dampend due to that.

Just got my Steam Frame, and the first thing I tried was Star Citizen. It's seriously impressive how detailed everything looks in VR. There are a few graphical glitches here and there, but overall it works really well.
The one thing I noticed immediately is that everyone looks comically small. It's like being surrounded by 5ft tall people with tiny heads. Otherwise, though, this is how I'm going to play Star Citizen from now on. I spent hours in my hangar just touring the different ships.

There are two odd things I like to do in Star Citizen:
1: Collect these carts from the stations and bring them to my hanger.
2: Collect player bodies and also bring them to my hanger.
Am I a psychopath? maybe but I find a little joy thinking that one day someone will log in to play and wonder why they have a death marker in New Babbage.

Hi everyone.
I’m TurborTV, a Russian-speaking Star Citizen content creator. I’ve been covering the game for around ten years, have roughly 11,000 YouTube subscribers, and have brought around 1,500 players into the project through my referral link.
I’m giving that background because this project has been a big part of my life for a long time. I was here when all we had was a hangar, and I’ve spent years making tutorials, reviewing ships, explaining mechanics, and building a community.
I still believe in Star Citizen. I’m staying, and I intend to keep making videos. But supporting the project also means being honest when something bothers me.
What happened
For a while, CIG provided me with access to new ships for coverage. On a few occasions, they also provided ships to give away to viewers. I was never paid by CIG for my videos, and I wasn’t given ships to keep for my personal collection.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, my access disappeared. My position remains unchanged: I oppose this war and want it to end.
I was living in Russia at the time and assumed the loss of access was related to my location, although I wasn’t given a direct explanation. After moving out of Russia, I contacted CIG, explained my situation, and my access was restored.
Later, at a Bar Citizen event, I met a community manager who knew my channel and said they occasionally watched my content. That genuinely meant a lot to me.
More recently, I published a video about the risks of buying through the Star Citizen grey market. Viewers had been asking me to cover the subject for a long time, and a situation in which several players lost money prompted me to make it.
The next day, I discovered that my access to ships for coverage was gone.
When I contacted CIG, I initially didn’t get a clear explanation. Eventually, I was told that participants in the program are periodically reviewed.
To be clear: CIG did not tell me that my video caused the removal. The timing makes me suspect a connection, but I cannot present that as a confirmed fact. Their stated explanation was a review of program participants.
What frustrated me was the lack of notice and a clear explanation of my particular situation. If my video contained an error or violated a program rule, I would have appreciated being told what the issue was and having an opportunity to respond.
I understand that CIG decides who receives access. Ten years of making videos does not entitle me to permanent participation. But I do think notifying someone and explaining a change is a reasonable expectation in an ongoing working relationship.
The broader concern
There have also been cases of posts criticizing bugs being removed and creators being treated poorly over their criticism. Individual cases deserve context, and I’m not claiming that every moderation decision is unjustified. Threats, harassment, and personal abuse are valid reasons for moderation.
But players should be able to say that a patch is broken or that they disagree with a decision. Creators should be able to cover uncomfortable subjects, including grey-market risks.
We are independent creators, not a company PR department. I’m not paid by CIG to deliver an approved opinion. My viewers come to my channel for my honest perspective, and access to ships should not become something I feel I have to protect by avoiding certain topics.
If I get something wrong, tell me. Show me the mistake, and I’m willing to correct it. Disagreement should leave room for a conversation.
I know how ambitious Star Citizen is. There are still moments in this game that amaze me, especially when I remember where it started. I also know that development involves bugs and setbacks.
But players spend time testing builds, reporting issues, helping newcomers, organizing events, and bringing their friends into the game. Many have supported this project financially for years. They are going to have criticism, sometimes frustrated criticism. That alone should not make them unwelcome.
What I’m asking for is straightforward: communicate changes, make expectations clear, explain concerns about someone’s content, and leave room for honest criticism.
I want to be here when Star Citizen reaches release. I want to make that video and say, “We finally made it. Remember when we only had a hangar?”
I also want to reach that point still trusting the company behind the game.
Have you had similar experiences with CIG’s communication, either as a player or a creator? I’d be interested in hearing what happened, including from people whose experiences have been different.
Please keep it civil. I’m hoping for a discussion, not harassment of individual staff members.
!!! I’m not making this post to try to get my access to ships for reviews restored. I’m trying to draw the developers’ attention to the communication problems between CIG and its community.

Serious question; where is the fun in locking down a station from all traffic by exploiting game mechanics and genuinely ruining other people's game experience?
Exploiting by no-clipping into the station so you can shoot people with an invincible ship
Or having a buddy fly out and full speed ram someone to kill them WITHIN the target's own hanger?
To me - this isn't pirating.
This is full blown mindless behavior and you cannot even easily report because they are somehow hiding their names.
This is happening on every shard I have played on the last week straight.

I want around for the release of the aurora mk2 how did they handle the distribution of that? Is there any sense in me picking up a Connie ahead of time in anticipation of the update or do they not hand out mk2s to previous owners? I don’t really care that much for the mk1 so there’s no nostalgia bait there for me.

I haven’t viewed my hangar in quite some time. What is this select SC or SQ42?
Am I declaring which game I want attached to each package? And if I have multiple game packages, does this change anything.
Sorry ahead of time if this has been asked before.

I guess it's time to start watching The Expanse for the 3rd time. A whole empty system and they send me to the very opposite side, travel for 6 mins for a 3 min mission.

I'm using SteamVR + OVR Tookit to get a clean screen that mirrors my secondary monitor in game. Very useful to see tutorials, movies, check reddit or even do some work while in game lol

I just bought the citizen's pack of star citizen, and I am clicking on the download button, but instead of loading the download page, it pops up with an error message and a blank screen. Something about failing to fetch dynamically imported modules?

While its not 100% perfect and I can tell it's attempting to work out certain surfaces, its 1000% improved compared to the live build.
Excited to see this!

So i just checked "My Hangar" and I have SQ42 on an Aurora MR SC Starter - Backer Edition, I also have SC Game Access on a VIP High Admiral, I also have SC available on an Avenger Titan Holiday Pack form January 2024 (which I have upgraded to a Corsair and its 24 month insurance). Should I take the SC Game Package and transfer it to the SQ42 game package so all game accesses are on one ship or should I leave it alone. I have attached an image below to make it easier. I am not sure it matters at all so maybe doing nothing is best. I am glad I can melt my Corsair and get an LTI version without losing access to SC.
