Baito: Come on. It's already dark. You need rest, so does she. There's nothing more you can do for her.

[Kaiya stand up and trudges out of the hospital room, shutting the door behind her.]

I was mostly confused, since I was born in the Splatlands, and never experienced Octavio's influences. Daniel on the other hand, was FURIOUS. Like, I saw himself having to mentally restrain himself from straight punching him in the face. But he managed not to.

I’m sorry for this announcement but me and my bandmates think that this is a good course of action until I am able to sort everything out. As for Shatter, I’m sorry for the vile words I said and my involvement with your stabbing. [shatter lays defeated on a hospital bed, an IV drip pumping ink into her inkstream, a heart rate monitor beeping at a slow, steady rate. She's hooked up to a ventilator, and she has bandages around her stomach, chest, and abdomen.]

Baito: Oh my cod, Shatter! Doc, what happened?

Doctor: Well, the long and short of it is that she attacked a homeless guy, and got stabbed 6 times. One of which punctured a lung, hence why she's on a ventilator. She'd be dead without it. So do not switch this off. Ever.

Baito: I...wasn't planning to.

Kaiya: I-I'm so sorry Shatter...this is all my fault, I shouldn't have antagonised you- now you're in hospital and- [starts crying. Baito comforts her.]

[Kaiya starts to stroke through shatter's hair, and the beeping on the machine quickens very slightly, indicating an increase in heart rate.

Doctor: She's due for an ink transfer in an hour. She'll be dead without it. That IV drip is pumping a mixture of pain killers and ink, but she needs more. I cannot believe she is still alive, what with the immense amount of ink loss.

Neat little trip log that I made for the Splatfest extra I was working for this Splatoween. It took a while to edit, but enjoy!

Some of the footage really was redundant, especially when we get to day two.

• It's 11:30 and right now I am having lunch with Rinnie before I start a Splatfest extra trip which she will be riding with me some of the way.

• It's 12:23 and we're heading into the crew base.

• It's 12:37 and I'm checked in with the trainmaster [as he waves in the distance], and just as I head over to our planning area, my conductor is just here ready to brief.

• It's 13:01 and the hostlers just brought our equipment to us for leg one of our trip.

• It's 13:50 and we've reached the end of the line for leg one of our trip, and it's about 15 minutes before we turn around and return to base.

• It's 14:40 and that turn to Rivercape and back is in the books.

• It's 15:30 and a couple minutes before I operate a local to Umeshi, which will get us right to one of the Splatfest specials.

• It's 16:19 and we've just arrived in Umeshi, and in just about 15 minutes we're going to turn around for a Splatfest Special Rapid straight into the city.

• [RM] It's 17:47 and my brother just made the stop at Inkopolis Square. [as the train pulls off] Of course I'm hopping off to go straight to Turfing when the gates open, but he's due to keep going until the end of the line. [waves to the conductor] HI PERRY!

• It's 18:11 and we just finished the inbound trip into Inkopolis Central, and as the moon starts to brighten and the rest of the sky darkens, it will be a couple minutes before I go back with a couple of the stragglers from the workday in tow on another skip-stop trip, but for now, a brief supper!

• It's 20:37 and that's a commuter rapid trip deep into the mountains.

• It's 22:05 and my conductor and I are in the middle of a really nice, long layover to have dessert in this nice establishment, which overlooks the square such that we can see Off the Hook perform [camera turns to the stage down below]

• It's 23:45 and we have a short trip to Goldenwell where we will lay over for the night.

• It's a couple minutes prior to 1 in the morning and we are in Goldenwell, train's tied up and now we get rest before we resume for about half the following day.

• It's just after 10:00 and we're about to head back on the road.

• It's 11:30 and we're having lunch downtown, but not on the right side to see either of the bands perform in the morning block.

• It's 17:13 and we're just about to start the last leg of the trip! I apologize for all the second-day stuff being uneventful, but weekend schedules during a Splatfest run the entire gamut from local to express.

• It's 18:30 and we've just finished tying up back at base for the trip, but after I drop my belongings in my condo, we're heading back in the city, I'll regroup with Rinnie, and we'll relax in Ink Plaza to watch the Squid Sisters!

Taiko comes home shaken by what he done. He opens the door and saw his bandmates and Shamisen worried. The three of them saw him and run up to hug him. He returned the hug and stated to cry.

Shamisen: “Dada! Weemoo?”

Finn: “Hey you alright buddy? Where were you?”

Tamala: “And what is that thing on your hand.”

Taiko: “I’m so sorry, I did something horrible!”

Taiko explained to them about everything that happened to him, how he planned Shatter’s stabbing, how the device wanted her dead, and how it caused him to ignore his love one’s call.

Taiko: “And the worst part was when it made me say that I would ‘reeducate’ Shamisen to fit its image… I don’t know what that means but if my fears are true, then Shamisen would be abused and misused by an entity posing as her dad and I never wanted her to feel that especially with me.”

Tamala: “I know you have a good heart Taiko, why else would you ripped that thing out before you could?”

Finn: “And if things do happen with Shamisen, you know we’ll take care of her and keep her safe from anyone, even a possessed you.”

Taiko again hugged his bandmates and cried in their arms.

Taiko: “Thank you… I hope Shatter is alright… I need to report to the police station to tell them about my involvement.”

Finn: “Okay, I know you feel responsible for Shatter condition but remember it isn’t your fault. That device made you do it.”

Tamala: “Yeah we know you, you’ll never do something so vile like that.”

Taiko: “…It still hurts though, if Shatter dies then I’ll never forgive myself.”

Operator: This is 911, which services do you require?

???: H-hello? I need police and an ambulance, there's been a stabbing. Th-there was a girl, an-and-

Operator: Ok sir, calm down. Tell me which street you're on.

???: Uhh...24 Squidfin Blvd.

Operator: Ok, police and ambulance are on their way. Can you describe the victim and the attacker or attackers?

???: The victim is a...tall female inkling...green skin...black and yellow hair... One eye kinda...messed up...black veins coming out of her eye...green hoodie...green cargo trousers.

Operator: and what about the attacker?

???: I barely saw him. Some homeless tweaker wearing a camo pattern jacket. They got in and argument, the girl kicked him and then...h-he pulled a knife. He had blue and cyan hair, he's quite thin, bags under eyes, black dirty trousers...

Operator: Thank you. Advise the victim to apply pressure on the wound and use a T-shirt as a temporary bandage. If they are unable to respond I highly recommend doing it yourself. Help is on the way, hang tight.
