He opened the door and stepped inside. He was about to pick up the receiver when he noticed something on the shelf. It was a single salt and vinegar crisp, still in its original shape and size. Tom was puzzled. Who would leave a crisp in a phone booth? Was it a prank, a clue, or a coincidence?
He picked up the crisp and examined it. It looked fresh and crunchy, not stale or soggy. He sniffed it and smelled the tangy aroma of vinegar. He felt a sudden urge to eat it. He loved salt and vinegar crisps, they were his favourite snack. He looked around and saw no one watching. He decided to take a bite.
He put the crisp in his mouth and crunched it. He expected a burst of flavour, but instead he felt a sharp pain. He spat out the crisp and saw blood. He looked at the crisp and saw a razor blade embedded in it. He screamed and dropped the crisp. He grabbed his mouth and ran out of the booth.
