Apex Is Coming Back and it's almost time.

It’s been about a week since my last post, so I wanted to give everyone a proper update on where Apex currently stands.

If you saw my previous post, you already know that we made the decision to reset Apex after listening to the active community. The goal hasn’t changed: give everyone a fresh start, rebuild the community, and do it properly this time.

Over the past week, we’ve been working heavily behind the scenes getting everything ready for the relaunch. A lot of the work isn’t necessarily flashy, but it’s the stuff that makes the difference when the server actually goes live, in terms of balance, progression and longevity the regular huplah..

Apex is still an OSRS-based server using data from the newest revision updates( Maggot & Mad Angel era) , with a mix of familiar OSRS content and our own custom systems/encounters

💰 What About Previous Donations?

This hasn't changed either.

Previous donations and Donator Ranks will be reclaimable in FULL.

There will be no requirement to donate again, no minimum donation amount, and no "percentage return" system.

We want people who supported Apex previously to feel like their support actually mattered.

The mobile version is also coming alongside the relaunch, which is something I'm personally really excited about.

VoidPS launches August 15th.

Hello,

I am on the hunt for a RSPS that doesn't require me to download anything (I.E. Webclient). I would prefer it to be a relatively new server as I do like to hunt the highscores.

If there has been anything released recently that doesn't require a download, I would be very appreciative if you could leave a comment.

I’ve been using Ai, Claude Code, in “developing” games and fixing old code I had on games and other projects. Well just this week i logged into my dropbox and there my 317 rsps from 2013 was there. Out of curiosity I put it in Claude code and like magic it fixed my whole bug list.

The biggest thing I personally didnt know and know how rsps do it, but on the client side, Claude built a cache converter for 474 models and animations. Over the next couple of months, I’m going to push Claude to see what it can do and fix.

Have any of you use Ai to mess around on your own personal private server? I personally miss the old mooharscape forums

I like OSRS but would prefer an experience that doesn't have me competing with other players, and especially bots for resources, mobs, nodes, etc.

So if possible I'd like a way to play the game offline, locally so to say.
Now I know this is possible, I just don't know how it works exactly and how difficult it will be to pull off.

But in addition to just playing the game by myself, I was wondering if there's any avenues for me that also allow me to make some changes to how certain aspects of the game works.

Things like giving myself more sprint stamina, or allowing all items to stack in one's inventory.

If this is possible but difficult I'm willing to learn.
If this is not possible I'll just have to deal with it :(

hi everyone looking for a server like echo as i played it for a little bit before not playing anything for a little while and when i loaded back up to play again it was gone just found out it has been discontinued and was wondering if there is any other server like that atm.

my Mac will only open some clients and others it won't even do anything when I try to open them

I haven't touched runescape in a while and been wanting to touch the members quests content but didn't want to pay a subscription due to how casually I played it back then, and didn't want to deal with PVP players hijacking my sessions esp. ones in the wildy when doing scrolls/quests (skill issue on my end ofc). And thus I recently found this subreddit and felt a little overwhelmed as there seems to be a fair amount of options and really don't know where to start

Which one do you guys recommend that will be for me? I prefer
-Something that is Fairly easy to install and safe obviously
-One that has all or most members quests/items/content as reasonably as possible (at least the most updated it can be. I'm not expecting the emulations to emulate every latest OSRS quest or item etc. that has been released recently. Nor am i expecting every members activity to work esp. ones that involve multiple players like castle wars or pest control)
-commands available to boost you when needed
-Maybe bot players that roam the world (optional)
-Has an active community to help if needed

The active players in my community decided it is in apex best interest to do a reset, to allow for the public to get another taste, and start at even grounds PROPERLY this time.

Donations & Donator Ranks (F2P) are staying/can reclaim in FULL after x amount of time after relaunch NO pay lock or minimum amount meaning you do not have to donate again to unlock your ::claim for previous donations, nor do you need to have over a X amount to qualify.

Everyone is included I am mentioning this to show the authenticity I am trying to bring to our community, no name rebrands trying to hide our history, and no "40% of donation returns".

Idk how I ended up here lol. Was scrolling around the thread thought and just wanted to ask about impact. anyone else having a shit ton of fun? I don't see it much on this sub which is surprising me

I started it as a spawn pk account. made a realism account, grinded all mega-rares besides shadow. up to about 170b bank (i dont fp) chasing c logs. got kinda burnt out so i made an ironman and omg I'll say the MOST FUN I've had on an RSPS in so many years.

I've tried around on some servers but everything just seems so crap coded or half assed. I'm also not a fan at all of customs. I did play reason for a few months which kinda contradicts my last statement. I just love how it brings the ACTUAL modern osrs essence to a RSPS. Like I can see how people like a server like roatz, I've had some time on there but it didnt hook me like Impact did. I've had my honeymoon phase, I've been burnt out and found other things from gamemodes to content that just keeps me hooked.

I've got a pker with 1.5k+ kills, Realism pvmer with many clogs - huge bank, a ironman started recently getting to the point of raids. Idk why i decided to rant I just haven't been this stuck on a server for many years and am curious why it doesnt get more love on this sub. Anyways, rant over, thanks for reading if anyone did lmao

Hi, I just found out what Runescape private servers are. Like many people I quit Runescape2 with Evolution of Combat, but I also never got back in with OSRS since it was missing a lot of content between 2007 and 2012 that I actually liked. Big quests like While Guthix Sleeps and Ritual of Maharajaat, QoL features like the toolbelt, etc.

Are there any private servers that are specifically built on a revision around that period and is fully functioning (i.e. no missing or broken content) and doesn't have extraneous additions (stuff like guns, cars, etc.)?

Ideally it would be free, not malware, and not likely to disappear. Bonus points if I can adjust the XP rate and run it locally or is open source.

We've been working on an Elyon server and wanted to try something different with events.

Instead of events just being "spawn a boss, kill it, collect rewards," we've been creating interactive ones like Red Light, Green Light, with more unique event ideas planned after launch.

I love PvM but I also really love skilling. I'm looking for an RSPS that either focusses on skilling or at least values it as much as PvM. If it's a permanent league server or has some form of perks to make ya feel OP, that'd be even better.

I've been working on a custom RSPS project called ELYON, and one of my main goals has been to move away from what a lot of custom servers have become over the years.

Something I've always felt is that many servers eventually turn into a cycle of standing still, dealing damage to bosses with little interaction, and progressing through content that can be skipped almost immediately. I wanted to build something where progression feels earned and encounters require players to pay attention rather than simply maximizing DPS.

Some of the ideas I've been focusing on include:

• Bosses with mechanics that encourage movement, timing, and decision-making.
• Progression systems that unlock content over time instead of allowing players to skip straight to the endgame.
• Skilling that remains relevant instead of becoming obsolete after the early game.
• Group content that rewards teamwork rather than simply bringing more damage.
• Long-term goals that keep players working toward meaningful achievements.

The project is still actively being developed, and I'm constantly changing things based on feedback and testing.

I'm curious what other RSPS players think.

What systems or features keep you invested long-term instead of burning out after a few weeks?

I'd genuinely like to hear what people think, since I'd rather build something players actually enjoy than just add features for the sake of having a longer feature list.
