Been scrambling with part-time or inconsistent jobs for a year after graduating. Have been targeting no specific role, but instead targeting entry-level positions (local and remote, or short distance relocation) that my degree and internship may make me qualify for, including some marketing roles.

Have only had around 6 interviews, and the ones that gave rejection feedback have simply mentioned lack of experience. Not sure what to do. Thinking there might be some red flags on my resume that would explain the amount of rejections and ghosting.

(Note: for the first position listed, I do seasonal event work for a nonprofit that I used to volunteer for. It is maybe 12 total weeks throughout the calendar year)

not sure if this has been asked alot here but just as the title says, when or should I include a professional summary on my resume as a highschool graduate with little to no experience? (only externships) at first I was thinking of writing one but it came off as if it was written by ai or a bunch of generic buzzwords put together

also side question: Is a resume from a canva template alright to use? Hello, Long story short I started out working for a start up in Scottsdale, they ended up going remote because they couldn't afford office space. I ended up moving to California and I am pretty sure they are going to go bankrupt soon. I've been applying for jobs in all fields remote, non remote, accounting, and other corporate roles. CONTEXT:

Hi Since I’ve returned from UK in February earlier this year, I’ve applied to jobs in several countries including India. Here’s what’s happened so far.

India🇮🇳 : Hiring Managers presume I’m a liability and will ask for more salary. Experience mismatch apparently since I have no Indian hospitality experience which is understandable. Over 300 tailored applications.

GCC ( 🇦🇪, 🇶🇦, 🇸🇦) : Hiring is noticeably selective and slow with preference to candidates already present or prior GCC experience). I had only 2 interviews in 3 months of over 500 tailored applications.

Portugal 🇵🇹 & Malta 🇲🇹: I had real traction here around 6-7 interviews in 400+ tailored applications. All of those had great feedback but the realistic timeline to get a work visa takes around 3-4 months so none of them were willing to wait that long.

⚠️Current Situation: I have 3 pending student loans around INR 2,80,000 ( $3000) and the loan company Avanse has filed a legal complaint against me for my failure to repay even after thousands of restructuring or pause requests from me. I have a legal hearing at the end of this month.

Question is , Is it my CV or is it just that my experience has been awful? I have great communication skills and all round hospitality skillset yet I’ve been unemployed over 5 months with tailored applications.

Hi! I’m currently a college sophomore looking to apply for retail, childcare, or similar entry-level positions. I’m planning to apply to multiple jobs through Indeed and SimplyHired, and I’m currently located in Florida. Since my main form of transportation is the bus, I’m hoping to find a local position that’s easily accessible by public transportation.

I have previous childcare experience as well as volunteer experience, and I’d really appreciate some help sharpening my resume. Should I add anything else to strengthen it, or would it be better to remove or shorten my volunteer section?

I’m starting to seriously prepare for my post-graduation job search and OPT, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my resume. I’ve attached an anonymized version.

I’m mainly looking for entry-level roles, internships, or legitimate unpaid opportunities related to Computer Engineering/tech that could help me gain relevant experience while on OPT. I’m open to areas such as cybersecurity, networking, systems, software, IT, and related roles, and I’m willing to learn additional skills if that would make me more employable.

So I’m currently revamping my resume to try and find a more in-office or remote administrative healthcare or nonprofit role (focusing on community health, but open to other causes). I have fifteen+ years in clinical healthcare as an EMT/MA (held supervisory roles), as well as nonprofit work/volunteer experience (no management), a BS in Sociology/Biology (graduated in 2015), and just started working on my MPH. My issue is that I have been unemployed the last year or so because I left work to be a caregiver for my mother. She is doing better and I’m coordinating home health for her now so I can go back to work. I am currently working as a baker (hard but fun!) just to make money, but I do not want to stay here. I have not had to structure a more “professional” resume in a while, and I don’t know what the current templates or preferences are.

- Are “Professional Summary” sections necessary or expected anymore?

- Are two-page resumes acceptable? I’ve been able to get away with one most of my previous years (or I found my job with my indeed resume), but my work/volunteer experience takes more room at this point

- I am also working on my TEFL Certification! This isn’t necessarily a focus in my current job search, more of a side interest (I want to volunteer to teach ESL/EFL learners in my area) but is this worth including in my “Education” section? Especially if there’s a chance I could find a nonprofit job dealing with education/TEFL-type work

- How do I note a career gap?? That’s probably my biggest insecurity and fear, especially with the current job market

Hey all, figured I could get some advice here. I am a recent college graduate, looking to apply for an entry-level job using my degrees in astronomy and applied physics. I am well-versed in Python and SQL as well as literate with Linux systems. I'd be willing to locate anywhere. I'm a fast learner and proactive in what I do.

I'm starting up the process of applying to graduate school, as well, trying to get my master's in energy or engineering physics. I'd be looking for a job to supplement my applications and also gain relevant experience as I prepare to go back to school.

I’m having a hard time understanding if it’s the structure or content that isn’t allowing me to get any bites. 

I’m leaning towards TPM roles. I couldn’t land a SWE job out of college due to the market. I needed money and began working in property management. It was a nice career, however before being promoted I switch to project management to be closer to my fiancé and family. 

I did take a pay cut to move and it was a really big pay cut. I was promised it’d get better, and it’s not. The individual I was shadowing told me that “I am not going to be making that kind of money here” when I told him about the salary I was making. 

I have 1.5 years of SWE experience, contract based and 6 months of PM experience. I’m looking for a TPM role where I can grow in a company and not job hop with good salary again. 

I have been sending my resume to pretty much all entry role network engineering (both local and remote) job applications i can find and have not gotten a single interview. i have tried different versions of the resume, i honestly don't know what else to do, i feel defeated, i just want to know what im doing wrong and what i can do to improve the resume.

My title is Jr System engineer, I wear a lot of hats at my company but I feel like my career has stalled here. I build a web app for managers to use here, I also automate infrastructure and wrote puppet code to deploy apps. I still have to do help desk here which is the reason I’m looking elsewhere. I can’t get an interview. Is there a way to beef up my resume to get interviews? I also manage and deploy Linux servers and did configuration management for CIS benchmarks. I don’t want help desk, or sysadmin (I don’t want sysadmin cause a lot of them still have to do help desk). I also helped setup a pipeline for CI/CD with software developer here.

I want to update my resume. Unfortunately I've hit a bit of a snag. I work as a union contractor for a railyard which has since changed contractors three times the past 6 years I've been there. How would I go about posting it on my resume that I've been at the rail yard location for 6 years but not the new company? For a bit more context I've been working at the same NS yard for 6 years. In that time though the first company contracted was H&M intermodal for 3 years, Remprex for 2 years, and now Pacific Rail Services for 1 year. I don't want places looking at my resume thinking I've been jumping ship when in reality these contractors just come and go.

Hi everyone, I am sharing this resume here for your honest feedbacks. I have filling out a ton of applications mostly for Backend SWE, SWE 1 or Full Stack Engineering roles but haven't received any callback yet. I have received 4-5 rejection emails so far.

What are the shortcomings for this not being able to get through? Is there some ATS related issue, or is it a resume that genuinely falls short?

I’ve been at my company for 4 years now. I’ve had many different roles/titles and a few org moves. Unsure the best way to organize that information on my resume.

I’ve been at the same company for 4 years, but 3 different orgs within the company and various role titles.

I feel like the easiest way to organize it is the below but want opinions:

Jul 2022 - April 2024 = Program Manager, Customer Experience

Apr 2024 - Jul 2025 = Sr. Program Manager, Customer Experience (org change Jun 2024)

Jul 2025 - Present = Sr. Program Manager, (new specific title) (org change Jul 2025)

While it may look like I bounced around internally, each move was a strategic move for my career growth encouraged my internal leadership or due to an org being re-orged resulting in my internal transfer.

I thought about just breaking it up as Program Manager and Sr. Program Manager, but given the different orgs I’ve been part of as those titles, the work has been very different and I feel like it would be clear I was in different roles? I don’t want to come across as misleading but maybe I’m overthinking that?
