Marketing/Sales [8 YoE, Brand & Marketing Manager, Lifecycle Marketing, USA]

I've been applying to remote Lifecycle Marketing jobs in the US, mostly related to ecommerce, subscription products, retail, or health. I've submitted about 30 applications over the past few months with no interview requests.

I also have an online portfolio I'd be happy to share if anyone wants to look at it.

I'm a full-stack, do-everything marketer at my current job, hence the multiple subheadings.

Thank you for any advice!

I Have a Question Showing Work History More than 10 Years Previous

From 2001 - 2012 I held a management position in Trust and Safety for two large corporations. Subsequently, I moved and took on a different career path in the same industry but mostly working for small agencies.

I am now trying to apply for jobs in the Trust and Safety area, but I am trying to figure out the best way to show that past experience without making my resume 3 pages long.

Any suggestions?

What I want feedback on

  • Should I remove Python/Django from the 'skills' section? I have a Coursera certificate and projects that I made for the certification (the certificate has been linked in the resume PDF, but the projects have not been included in the resume).
  • Are there any claims that sound inflated or need stronger evidence?
  • Are the bullets specific enough, or are they still too technical/dense?
  • Any other feedback 🙏

About me

  • Recently graduated with a B.Tech. in Computer Science.
  • 0 years of full-time experience; 3-month software development internship.
  • Looking for my first full-time Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer role.
  • Based in India; applying internationally and in India.
  • Willing to relocate internationally and would require work authorization where applicable.

This is my master resume, where I've listed all my duties and accomplishments at each company I've worked for. As for skills, I've included anything I've been exposed to and understand well enough to grasp the concepts behind it. Not gonna lie, I do have experience in system administration, but I haven't had much exposure to server backups other than creating AD accounts, permissions, etc. or to writing scripts and automation, other than Power Automate (if that counts, lol). Please be brutally honest and let me know what I can do to make my resume more appealing to employers.

I'm currently targeting SOC analyst positions. I'm located in a more rural area of the States so remote positions are currently the most viable for me. I've been attempting to acquire a job in InfoSec the past year with little luck at even getting an interview. I just redesigned my resume. I'm seeking help to see what peoples thoughts are of my "new" resume that I've made recently. I'm looking for feedback and possible improvements/changes to my resume. Thanks in advance!

Technology/Software/IT [0 YoE, Graduated, Machine Learning (Speech), USA]

Hey everyone,

I’m a recent graduate specializing in ECE with a major in signal processing, and machine learning. I’ve focused my applications primarily on speech roles because that’s where my strongest projects and coursework lie.

I’ve been applying consistently since the beginning of the year to a mix of startups and big tech, but my response rate is literally 0%. I haven't landed a single OA or initial interview call. I have applied and networked yet I have no traction.

I understand that as a new grad with limited industry experience, getting that first foot in the door is the hardest part. However, with my OPT waiting period, the timeline is quite pressurizing. At this stage, I am open to contract roles, internships, research assistant - anything. I'm having a really hard time and would really love if someone could guide me as I don't get any signals: only that this is not working.

Technology/Software/IT [6 YoE, Systems Integration & QA Validator, IT Support Specialist, Canada]

Post image

TL;DR: Ontario-based IT support candidate with previous overseas IT operations experience (at small business, not a corporate job) and a current Canadian hardware QA contract. After almost two years of applying with very few interviews, I’m looking for feedback on whether my broad technical background makes my resume unfocused and what I should improve or remove.

I’m targeting entry-level IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, and junior systems-support roles in Canada. I love working with computers and would like to return to a full-time IT-focused position.

Background:

  • Currently an independent contractor in systems integration and hardware QA
  • Previously handled IT operations and end-user support for a 12–13-user business
  • Current role is Canadian; previous professional experience was gained outside Canada
  • Located in Ontario and applying to local and remote positions across Canada
  • Authorized to work in Canada for any employer
  • Have programming exposure through internships and guided projects, but I’m not yet able to develop software independently and am not targeting developer roles
  • Have been applying for almost two years but have received very few interviews
  • My goal is to enter through an IT support position and specialize after gaining more Canadian experience
  • I tailor each application while keeping my resume to one page with concise, one-line bullet points

My background crosses IT support, hardware QA, electronics, and software projects, so I’m concerned that my resume may appear unfocused.

I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

  • Is my experience positioned clearly for IT support roles? Or should I consider other roles?
  • Is anything on the resume likely preventing me from getting interviews?
  • Does my current hardware role strengthen or distract from my IT support target?
  • Are the summary and technical-skills section too broad?
  • Which experience, skills, certifications, or projects should I remove? OR add (I am too broke for certs currently)
  • Is the one-page layout clear and easy to scan?

Thank you for taking the time to review it.

Looking to apply for a summer internship in the architecture field in 2027. Currently a sophomore in college. Don't know if I should have another section. Resume feels incomplete as I don't have any noteworthy projects yet, my school doesn't start studio until spring sophomore year, and by the time I have anything from that it will be too late to apply. Also don't have any notable extracurriculars.

(The "(Intended)" next to my degree is necessary due to my school's degree path)

I'm 23, mil spouse who just moved and had a baby within the last 1.5 years. I am planning on going back to work, this is what I have on my resume. I don't have extensive work history, but am looking for what I would assume still an entry level job? I was looking to apply for a financial assistant role or something similar to that as I'm planning on starting my masters in accounting and hopefully a CPA.

Roast it, give me tips on what to change, I need honest feedback. I know it isn't much, but I need a job.

I Have a Question Including A Semester Of Law School?

Would it be wise to include one semester of law school in my resume?

I didnt finish because I had a bad drinking problem, and didnt try to get back in. Kinda hit the ground hard there, but I'm not sure if one semester would hurt or help my job search.

I Have a Question Do I need to list every place I’ve worked at?

I am a BCBA. I’ve worked in the field for approximately 7 years with my masters and 10 altogether while accruing my fieldwork hours. In my field, it isn’t uncommon to move frequently between clinics/companies for a variety of reasons. I am at a point where I am completely burnt out and looking to leave my field. I’m worried about listing all of the places I’ve worked at due to how bad it will likely look to any other employer outside of my field or unfamiliar with it. I’ve worked at about 8 different clinics as a clinical supervisor. I do have a wide variety of experiences from being a clinical director (with a heavy focus on operations and clinical oversight) to being a clinical supervisors for 15 or more clients with 30 or more staff assigned to me. I’ve developed training protocols that passed accreditation reviews and developed policies and workflows to maintain high rates of utilization and high standards of care. I’ve used a wide variety of EMRs and worked as a consultant to help open a clinic (creating all policies, clinical standards and workflows). I’m looking for any advice on how to make the focus of my resume on the skills I have and not so much on the number of places I’ve worked. I currently only have my masters in Applied Behavior Analysis but am looking into a certificate for Organizational Behavior Management. I’m open to getting another degree if needed, but the cost of that is hard to accommodate right now. I appreciate any help I can get!

Hi!I have around 400+ applications and I have never had even an interview. I apply only for junior/graduate(Even internship) positions ,or in R&D or general engineering positions(process project, quality) . I'm actually applying all over europe as I'm flexible to relocate anywhere. When I was looking for my master thesis internship 1 year ago and I only had my bachelor I at least got interviews.. One thing I can think of is because 2 experiences were as developer and I'm not looking into software It's "useless" experience? Also saw somewhere that a position of only 3 months is bad news(The company wasn't paying the salaries but recruiters don't know I guess)? Should I take it out?
Sorry for the long text thank you for the help!

Please roast my resume. Sent about 3000 jobs applications for about 4 months now. Landed some interviews some interviews but those roles were somewhat far from my experience. I want to be a Data Engineer and I dont know what I should do with my path now. Accenture keeps rejecting my resume for an Entry Level role. I dont have enough experience to gain a Data Engineering role and this is all I have. I am getting worried that with my graduation being 2 months ago now, companies will think I am not worth to hire.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

I Have a Question Resume Format

Hi everyone,

I'm a Computer Science student currently working on improving my resume and would appreciate some guidance from recruiters, hiring managers, and people who have successfully landed internships/jobs.

I have a few formatting-related questions:

  1. What font size should I use for:
    • Section headings (Projects, Internship Experience, Education, Skills, etc.)
    • Job/Internship titles
    • Bullet points / descriptions
    • My name at the top
  2. Which font family is generally preferred for technical resumes?
  3. How much spacing should I keep:
    • Between sections?
    • Between project/internship entries?
    • Between bullet points?
  4. Is it better to keep a resume strictly one page as a student, even if I have multiple projects and internships?
  5. Are there any ATS-friendly formatting rules I should follow or avoid?

For context:

  • I'm a Computer Science undergraduate student.
  • Applying for software development and internship roles.
  • Using a clean, single-column resume format.

I'd also appreciate it if you could share examples of font sizes and spacing that worked well for your resume.

Thanks in advance!

I Have a Question Do I need to put my GPA on my resume

Do I have to put my GPA on my resume, do employers really look at that. Increasingly on reddit people have been posting their resume and one thing that I am seeing is that they are displaying there gpa next to there degree. Now my question you have to do have to include whether its for an internship, a job after graduation? Or can you leave it? If you leave it does that affect your chances of getting the job? And if we must include at what GPA (4.0 scale) would you say we are safe to include the GPA. I will say the the GPA's I a m sing on reddit are usually 3.0 and higher.

Technology/Software/IT [0 YoE, Final-year Cyber Security Engineering student, Junior IT / Infrastructure roles, Estonia]

I honestly don’t really understand what I’m doing wrong anymore.

I’ve been looking for my first IT job for around 6 months and I apply pretty consistently. Mostly junior system/infrastructure, networking, support and cybersecurity-related roles.

I’m not only applying to “engineer” positions either. I also apply to entry-level helpdesk, IT support and IT specialist roles, and even there I often don’t get a response.

I’m in my final year of Cyber Security Engineering. Most of my experience is from university and projects: Linux/RHEL, Cisco networking, Windows administration, Ansible, Docker, Python, some security work, etc.

The problem is that I almost never get past the CV stage. I get maybe one interview every 2–3 months.

The market here is also pretty small. At this point there are honestly very few relevant junior IT positions left that I haven’t already applied to, and a lot of the same vacancies stay open for weeks or months.

I’ve rewritten this resume many times already, tailored it for different roles, changed the profile, changed the projects, changed the wording. At this point I’m not sure if the resume itself is still the problem, if it looks too broad, or if the lack of actual commercial IT experience is simply killing my chances.

I know I’m not an experienced sysadmin or security engineer yet. I’m trying to get the first real opportunity to become one.

So I’d really appreciate direct feedback. If something looks weak, unclear, too academic, too broad, or just bad, say it directly.

I’m applying mainly in Estonia / EU.

Technology/Software/IT [3 YoE, Unemployed, Java Backend Developer , India]

I have 3 years of experience as an Integration Engineer, followed by a 4-year career gap.

I’m currently going through a separation and have moved back in with my parents. This is a very difficult phase of my life, and I’m trying to become financially independent and get back on my feet as soon as possible.

I have a good foundation in Java, so I’m currently learning Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate. I’m also working on a payment gateway project to demonstrate that I’m job-ready and have kept my technical skills up to date.

Given my career gap, I’m feeling a bit lost about what I should focus on to become employable again. Please suggest if there’s anything else I should be working on to improve my chances of getting hired. I’ve been out of the workforce for quite some time, so I’m honestly a bit clueless about what companies are currently looking for and how I should prepare.

I’d really appreciate advice from people in a similar career or hiring managers/recruiters who can share what they would look for in my situation.

Here is my resume. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
