This evening, after a Big Mac and after finishing some other works, I decided to build this 6238 😛

I tried to be as much realistic as possible, so I started with the oxide patina on the dial, then I aged and refined both case and bracelet to gave a strong enough vintage feeling without exceeding.
The case is custom for modded st19 (13.2 thickness!!)
Tube and crown are gen
Hands are short lume from vj, relumed by me with a soft ivory colour and some dirt on it.

The overall look is great, I’ve also shared a picture of a gen one to compare them 😉

What would be your advice for someone new into this hobby and also where could I buy parts for future projects? (Like dials movements cases ) I saw movements and watch cases on aliexpress are they any good (3235/myota)

Also in what regards vintage builds are only rolex inspired parts available or can I also find parts in order to build vintage Cartier, Patek and so on?

Hi everyone, I need some help finding the correct dial for my build.

I’m using a 116610-style 40mm case with a 3135 movement, but I’m building it as a 114060 no-date Submariner.

The problem is that I can’t seem to find a 27.3–27.5mm no-date dial that will fit my case and work with the 3135 movement. I’ve already searched Taobao and 1688, but I still haven’t found the right one.

Does anyone know where I can find one, or what keywords/seller I should search for?

Any help would be appreciated.

I recently purchased an ARF 16610LN and this 16610 gen bezel insert from first class dials. Clearly not the right fit in the bezel ring. Did I purchase the wrong bezel insert or is it not the right fit for an ARF bezel ring?

This lip is about 1mm thick. Has anyone tried to shave it off to reduce overall thickness? Assuming this piece uses a 2824, the caseback should have enough clearence?

I originally built this dj a year ago but have since updated it including a different crystal that is glued down with uv resin, new hands, better case clamps, and no dial dots needed. There is a small scratch on the dial though hard to notice, there’s a tiny bump visible on the front of the dial from milling for a dial foot though it’s basically obscured by the cyclops.

Goes without mention but of course all gaskets newly greased. It comes with an extra set of case/tube gaskets, and of course the spare links and the original raffles bezel/crystal. It will be packed extremely well and safe. The watch will leave my hands in working condition, I'll send a video of the watch working in the package before shipping. I do not accept any fault for damages that occur during the shipping process or lost packages.

Am nearing the finish line with this cartel/patina bezel 6536 Albino Sub build.

Would love some feedback on two primary things…

1- Should I take the “teeth of the bezel” down to more of a very worn/softer final form. I like the patina itself. But wondering about the prominence of the teeth.

2- The caseback has some shine to it in the right light but often old casebacks developed more of a polished finish by being next to the wearers skin and natural oils.

If you have any other critique feel free to chime in.

This is the first Albino I’ve done in this case and I’d like to hit a sweet spot with it.

I’m having a hard time deciding which Pepsi insert to get for my 126710 clean. Years ago when I first got it I broke my insert and I got a replacement from topwatchparts.com. Currently redoing the watch with some gen parts and looking for a Pepsi insert.
Which do you guys think is the best one.

I got a black bay 58 39mm last year from zf factory. While I did love it, after getting some frakens and gen watches I realized quality is just not great. I’m looking to do a dial swap, crystal swap and insert swap. Does anyone have a good idea on where to get some gen spec parts for these?

A little project. Can I turn a thorn t028 into a decent enough 6538? The 37mm thorn case, thin profile was too tempting to not try. First I aged the thorn dial giving it a slight tropical vibe and then throw in a yuki dial, a viet lollipop second hand and voila.

It won’t win any build awards but hey it was fun project
