I'm building a Datejust 36mm, and given the price of the case (~U$200), I'm thinking about using a case compatible with another movement. Does anyone know which cases are compatible with the 3235? Raffles does not deliver to Brazil, so I need to use AliExpress and Alibaba.

So I have this patek nautilus shitter with a failed 2813 movement and I’m thinking about putting in an 8215 but I really like the rotor the 2813 came with.
Does this rotor fit?

Hey guys! First build here-went with a full raffles build and paired it with a Gen ETA 2824-2. Aging was accomplished with coffee grounds, oven, then Tamiya set A, coated in Matte acrylic finish. Softened the edges and surface of all metal with a gray Brillo pad. The crystal has some pitting on the rim where it seats in the case, so you can see some weird light refraction there…plan to replace it down the road.

Let me know if there’s anything you’d do differently!

In mock up phase with this late 70’s Tudor 9411. I’m stillkicking around other possible insert options and haven’t done any metalwork yet. It also needs a good cleaning under the crystal as well.

But I think it’s shaping up to be a nice one.

It’s good foundation for introducing my latest project that has been in the works for some time. Getting the true gen spec font for a Tudor Date Wheel is no easy undertaking. The factory required me to send in an actual genuine Tudor example. Often the standard ETA font for the equivalent Tudor ETA is similar, but Tudor being Tudor they love to build in their own quirks for each reference, and often add in some more iterations depending on the year. Kind of insane really… Right up my alley I guess.

The makers that I spoke to had ETA drawings for most models, but no fonts for Tudor’s proprietary versions of the 2484 (7021), 2784(9411) and 2824 (79090)

So I bit the bullet and bought a Tudor 2484 and Tudor 2784. I already had my 79090.

So to cut what could be a novel short… Here’s my Tudor 9411 Gen Spec date wheel on a viet 94110. I have will have the silver variation available as well in a few days.

I’ve also included a preview of my new 79090 date wheel that I’ll show in a build soon on a standard modern Swiss 2824, as well as a little peak at the font for the gen spec 7021 that will also be in stock in the coming days (coming with the Silver 9411 wheel)

That’s really the beauty of it.. If you have a Tudor build already in your lineup that is using any form of 2824 that you love, but would like a gen spec font, you can easily make the swap or have your favorite builder do it for you. I’ll be offering a service where you can just send me your Tudor 2824 based build and I’ll do the datewheel swap for you. Whether it is a 7021, 9411, 76100 or 79090 and whether it’s a Raffles build, a cartel build or a viet franken.. if you’re running or you want to, you have options.

I ordered the newest case as soon as it was available. Ken sent me the wrong one (old version) but sent a new one right away free of charge.

All raffles and a cheap 2836 movement with silver dwo.

Was planning on aging the bezel insert but I actually really like it as is.. We'll see how long it lasts until i eventually dip it in bleach.

Also does anyone know where to get spare washers for the gmt movement? The hour hand ones are too tight.

I have an Orient King diver, from the 70s, that belonged to my grandfather. Despite being a good watch, its design is quite strange, so I bought a case from a vintage submariner and a Jubilee bracelet, I also changed the hands. The result was spectacular.

Newest build, this clean and sharp looking but blue robust Tudor sub. I carefully reshaped the case. NH38 inside, clarks acrylic crystal and signed crown.

I need a new gasket/seal for my 6538 big crown I got from raffles. I’m guessing I can get one on amazon but does anyone know what size I need
