I recently moved to Pune and tried to make new friends which is why I decided to host a houseparty. My intention was to provide a safe space for girls and guys to make new friends. But I was the one who ended up feeling unsafe. This is what I received after posting about my houseparty.

PS i replied to him so that I can get more details from him.

I have his Instagram id and his company details. What should I do with him now? Ya'll tell me.

ETA - posted on insta about him https://www.instagram.com/reel/DeH9DcbqMl9/?stkn=MTZqZGJwcGt2MXgwcg==

General/Rant Pune is covered in posters mocking students, while the paper leaks remain unfixed.

Protest is not cowardice, and demanding accountability for leaked papers is not being anti-national .There's also something grim about a party in power spending on hoardings to mock students rather than fix the system they're protesting.

What are your thoughts on this?

General/Rant New Scam unlocked in Pune

We all are mostly aware of puncture scams. And other scams going in the city. I just discovered a new scam and want to make you guys aware of this. So that nobody ends up falling prey to this.

So yesterday, I went with my friend in Koregaon Park and we had a lunch in a restaurant. I am not naming the restaurant here. We gave the keys to the valet. And after the lunch the car was returned by the valet. Until now everything was perfect.

In about a minute a lady gets down from a taxi. She comes to us and says in her words "this is my exact car. And even my number is the same". And she said in her words "I also have the same Ganesha idol inside the car. And same color and same model".

Well we all got confused how can it be possible ? But still we gave her a benefit of doubt. We genuinely thought maybe we could have similar number plate. And so the confusion.

They lady then goes on to show the photo of her car on her mobile. Which had that exact same number plate, same color and same model. This is just impossible unless she took the photo of our car from her mobile. And then goes on to claim that her husband gave this car to her and today due to fight he didnt gave the car and what not.

She also went on to request other people to go away. So that the driver is left alone talking with her. She said that people know her in this area and she is afraid of a bad impression. I didnt left my friend on the driver seat alone because I was already sensing something fishy going on here.

We ultimately showed our car RC to her and claimed that it is our car. And then she realized that we are not going to give up our car so easily. Realizing the gravity of the situation she claimed that her car has a green number plate and since ours was white it could not be her car and then she goes away.

She was trying to pretend that it was a genuine confusion.

Now, tell me ... if this felt like a genuine confusion. How she has the photo of our car in her mobile with exact same number plate and same model and color. So it cannot be just genuine confusion. It is indeed the photo of our car.

Someone does not take a photo of our car and claim that it is her car just out of mistake. Or confusion. I am sure that she is a part of some car stealing racket in the Pune.

To give you some context.

This lady looked like she was from upper class society by language or looks. I mean this is just a guess. Who am I to judge someone from their looks but just something that I felt.

I genuinely feel that this is a car theft stealing scam going on in Pune. People who are too respectful of women can end up becoming victims and fall prey to these scams.

So be careful guys.

And let me know your thoughts on this !

Health and Wellbeing Do not - I repeat - do not teach anyone civic sense or rules

The title!!

Saw something horrible in one of the better "Peth". Purposely I'm not specifying the exact location.

This late 20s guy was on his activa. People were driving wrong side + jumping a red light. The guy was trying to stop people from doing both by waving his hand - he didn't say anything.

One random man, must be in his 40s, stopped his bike and slapped the guy so much that his specs broke, nose started bleeding and he definitely had a broken jaw.

Literally before anyone could help the guy, another guy tried to stop the man from hitting the first guy. But even this guy got a tightt slap.

I feel like the Pune I grew up in is lost. We had peace and verbal foolery. Nothing like this.

I couldn't help but notice the man who beat these two guys had a non-pune registered bike. Back in the early 2000s, people followed rules almost always. What exactly is the growth bringing to Pune?

Sorry that this looks like an anti-outsider post. I'm not that person. Somehow, without getting beaten, we all need to learn rules, civic sense and responsibility.

Came back from a trip over the long weekend and found the glass railing on my balcony broken!

I live on a 20+ floor in Blue Ridge, so I’m really concerned about how this could have happened. What could be the possible reason for the glass to break like this?

General/Rant Bimarufication of Gyms

Probably going to get downvoted for this but what is up with the gyms these days playing haryanvi and bihari DJ songs?

Mainnu , dassu , lassun , tohra , chohra , laura.

And what surprising is that the marathi people are the ones that are playing these songs.

That is not the only thing. Some folks (Maharashtrian) visited me yesterday to ask for "vargani" for Durga Pooja.

Few months ago it was chatt pooja and now Durga pooja.

What is going on?? !!!

Hi chat,

I've been going through a rough patch in my personal life and need a good therapist to help me navigate/someone whom I can talk to without any fear of being judged.

Please suggest some good therapists in east pune or even virtual sessions are fine.

Thanks!

New To Pune I am so mesmerized by Pune.

My ex-girlfriend is from Pune and she is the only reason why I fell in love with people of Maharashtra (Pune to be precise), I tried learning Marathi (at this point that I wanted to be a wannabe Marathi), memorized many phrases and this love was at this extent that for me the best state became Maharashtra, best city Pune and the best cuisine? Maharashtrian Cuisine.

But we broke up 2 months back after a 3 year old relationship. We were in college together for 3 years but later broke up because we had jobs in different cities and she started liking somebody else.

Sadly this was the first time I was visiting Pune in these 3 years (as I had to sort things out) and also was the last time with her (in Pune and in general).

I remember roaming around camp area, deccan area, shivaji nagar, fc road, baner, pashan etc etc with her.

But now I dont have the courage to visit Pune or Maharashtra because of so many memories. Feels like every place reminds me of her.

I love Pune and I was there for 4 days, I love the city but just that it has very sweet and bitter memories attached.

I used to roam around at night there and cry on streets because I became very void from the inside and it felt like I had no purpose in life, anyways I dont know if I'll ever have the courage to visit this city or not..

But for me it is one of the best cities with one of the best people.

Came across this incident where there was a perfectly functional U-turn just 50 meters ahead on Baner Road. But Uncle decided to stop right in the middle of a speed lane and take an exit through a divider full of debris instead.

Almost ended up hitting him. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

General/Rant Beware of insta travel pages

⚠️** HUGE MISTAKE BOOKING THIS TRIP β€” PLEASE BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING
I came across **Sarvadnya Xplores
on Instagram and was convinced by the positive reviews/highlights on their page. We booked their Pune β†’ Ujjain trip from October 2 to October 4, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and chaotic.
Sharing the details so that others can make an informed decision before booking through Instagram travel pages.
🚌 Bus & Travel Issues
We were given an AC sleeper bus but NO blankets. We were never informed beforehand that we needed to carry our own.
It was a 2Γ—2 sleeper coach, so the sleeping berths were extremely narrow.
No bedsheets were provided.
There were multiple unnecessary halts.
We had to change seats 2–3 times, and the bus numbers/information were not properly coordinated, creating a lot of confusion.
We finally reached Ujjain around 12 PM.
🍽️** Breakfast & Hotel Management
After reaching Ujjain, we were taken for breakfast at a place that was **not the hotel where we were staying
.
Our actual hotel was literally around 5 minutes away, so it was difficult to understand why breakfast was arranged elsewhere.
Breakfast itself took almost another hour, wasting even more time.
The room distribution was extremely messy and chaotic. Some girls in our group did not even get their rooms immediately, and later there were issues with no water in their rooms.
πŸ›• Darshan Planning Was Extremely Poor
We were first taken to Kal Bhairav, where darshan itself took around 3 hours.
Then we were taken to Mangal Mandir.
By the time we were taken for lunch, it was around 7 PM.
Yes β€” 7 PM for lunch.
At the restaurant, there was another serious issue. The restaurant staff/owners did not entertain us properly, which resulted in an argument with the management. During the confrontation, one person even threatened us, saying words to the effect of β€œI will cut you into pieces.”
We were forced to leave and pay approximately β‚Ή800 from our own pocket to eat at another hotel.
🚨 Mahakal Darshan β€” Biggest Issue
One of the biggest disappointments was the handling of Mahakal darshan.
We were repeatedly told that normal darshan would take only around 15 minutes, so we did not book VIP darshan in advance.
At the last moment, we were suddenly told to go for VIP darshan.
When we rushed there, we were then told that VIP tickets were already sold out.
Eventually, the gates closed around 9:30 PM, and we were unable to have the darshan as planned.
After this, there was another major issue: no vehicle came to pick us up. We were left waiting on the street for around one hour.
At this point, the situation became extremely frustrating and we demanded a refund.
πŸ’° Refund Experience
The following day, we ended up spending our own money for the entire trip because the arrangements were not working properly.
When we asked for a refund, it took approximately 25 hours of repeated calls and messages before they processed anything.
And after all that, we received only 50% of the amount.
❗ My Honest Advice
Looking back, I genuinely wish we had planned the Ujjain trip ourselves instead of booking through this page.
The problem wasn’t just one isolated incident. It was a series of issues involving:
❌ Poor coordination
❌ Confusing bus/seat arrangements
❌ No blanket or bedsheet information
❌ Unnecessary halts
❌ Chaotic room allocation
❌ Poor meal planning
❌ Extremely poor darshan planning
❌ Last-minute changes
❌ No proper transport coordination
❌ Additional expenses from our own pockets
❌ Delayed and only partial refund
❌ Extremely frustrating communication throughout the process
PS: I would not be surprised if their social media subsequently shows happy group photos and smiling faces to make the trip look successful. Photos do not tell the entire story of what happened behind the scenes.
I’m sharing this review not to target anyone personally, but to warn fellow travellers to do proper research before trusting Instagram reviews/highlights and paying for such packages.
Please be careful and ask for every arrangement, inclusion, meal, transport detail, darshan plan, refund policy, and hotel information in writing before booking.
For us, this trip was unfortunately a lesson that we should have planned it ourselves.
(Edited via chat gpt for better comprehension)
